I have known Jack for many years even prior to his resume writing service. jack was very thorough in understanding where I wanted my resume to take me mid career. Revisions were well worth it and I have had several friends and recruiters compliment me on how well the cover letter and resume portray my strengths and talents. I would recommend Jack to anyone.

He did alright job on my resume. Interview happened at public book store. Communication was spotty. Though he charges too much money $$$. For what you get. And then when you want do revision and/​or add-​ons he charges again and again. It’s a shame.

I did not have a resume and didn’t need one for almost 30 years. So Jack came to the rescue. Not only did he help put together a terrific resume but when I looked at myself on paper I realized what a valuable asset that I am for a company. It was not an easy process and there was quite a bit of back and forth but it was worth the time invested.

I’ll start by saying that I researched resume writers for several weeks before settling on Jack; I really thought I’d picked a winner.
Entered into an agreement with Jack ¾/​14; he was unable to give me an appointment until the following week. My first red flag was when he called me the day after we’d scheduled our appointment to «schedule an appointment» Just that fats he’d forgotten who I was and that we’d already set up time to meet.
We were scheduled to meet during the evening at a local bookstore. As the day approached I didn’t receive any type of confirmation that we were still meeting. I called him several times on the day of our meeting to try and confirm, My calls went unanswered and around 6:50 (meeting was scheduled for 7) I received a call from Jack by that time I had gone home.
Next meeting was scheduled for a week after that, so now we’re more than 10 business days from our initial conversation. Job seekers are aware that time is of the essence when applying for jobs. None the less I arrived for the meeting and was immediately asked for Payment. I needed to use 2 payment sources, the first went through with out a hitch then there was some type of issue with the ‘square’ Jack was using for payment; he advised me that the payment was being declined, I logged in to my account and confirmed that the funds were there, i asked him to try again he said he did and it was declined. At that point the meeting needed to be rescheduled since I’d only paid him $ 400 of his fee. When I arrived home I contacted my bank and was advised that no one had submitted or attempted to submit any charges; apparently it was user error that caused the payment issue.
Next meeting was scheduled for 3/​/​27/​14; as soon as I sat i was asked for the remaining funds. Once the interview portion began I noticed that Jack did not bring his tape recorder as he did for our first meeting. He asked me a lot of good questions and I felt that I’d get a great end product. Jack advised me that he would send me his notes shortly after our meeting and he wanted me to edit them for clarity. no problem I said. We met on a Thursday and I advised him that I would look over what he sent and return it to him that Saturday. By Saturday evening I hadn’t received anything from Jack so I sent him an email asking for the status; as well as a few job descriptions that he’d asked for.
I NEVER heard from him so I called him Monday morning. I asked for a status update, he apologized for not getting back to me and acknowledged that he hadn’t even read my email from Saturday. he told me that he was too busy to read my email that day but he’d all me the following day (Tuesday 4/​1, don’t forget that we entered into our agreement ¾)
At that point I’d decided that I’d wasted too much time with him after giving him $ 600. I sent him an email advising him that I wanted to cancel and get a refund. he responded within 45 minutes (he never responded that fast before) He advised me that it was not in my best interest to cancel since he wouldn’t give me a refund. Jack uses a one sided non-​executable contract to try and lock in potential clients, but anyone that watches Judge Judy can take one look at his contract and see its non executable.
He then sent me a very long email telling me that he sent me his notes Friday morning and I never responded. He then attempted to «lay me out» by telling me that I’m not living up to my end of the deal. i asked him to forward me the original email that he claimed to have sent along with his notes. He never provided it!!!
What he did provide was an email that he sent to SOMEONE ELSE’S EMAIL Address. Imagine my horror upon finding out that he sent all of my business (resume, & contact info) to a complete stranger. I asked one last time for him to send me the notes he took during our meeting because at this point I’m concerned that he wasted my time and did nothing during our meeting; Still nothing.
I threatened legal action and DEMANDED a refund within 24 hours and I CC’d my family’s attorney on that correspondence.

The following day I received an email from him advising me that he attempted to refund my money via PayPal but my email address was invalid. NOW, he never even asked me if I had a PayPal account so how was he trying to refund anything??? None the less I responded to his email with my PayPal information. For the next few hours he continued to tell me that he couldn’t use PayPal to refund my money due to an invalid email address. It turns out that he was using the email address from my resume and not the one I provided him with. He lied to me several times by trying to convince me that the money was sitting at PayPal waiting for me even though he was using a bad email address.
Just when I was about to dispute the transaction with my bank, the refund came through.
