Specialties
Providing deep tissue table massage, Sports massage, Lomi Lomi Hawaiian massage, Traditional Thai massage and Russian style cupping massage. Certified in MotherMassage® prenatal and postpartum massage.
Table massage includes hot stone and deep tissue work. I work to relax the entire body while addressing specific areas of tension and finding the root cause of muscle pain.
Thai massage is a system of passive, yoga-like stretches combined with gentle massage and acupressure. It is perfect for athletes looking to increase flexibility and relax stiff joints and muscles.
Lomi Lomi is traditional Hawaiian massage. It includes long, full body strokes that address all areas of the body at once. The massage is rhythmic and meditative, providing the ultimate in relaxation.
Russian cupping massage is performed with traditional fire cups. They are glass cups into which a flame is briefly inserted to create a vacuum. The cup is placed onto the body and used to stretch the tissue creating a sort of «massage in reverse».
I have worked extensively with athletes; particularly yogis and martial artists. My own background in martial arts and yoga inform my body awareness and massage techniques. I also specialize in the treatment of pain and stiffness associated with TMJ disorder.
History
Established in 2010.
I opened in Amherst in 2010 and have found it a fantastic place to be in business. Prior to that, I had been practicing massage on my own and as part of the Pain Management Center in Waltham, MA since 2007. During my time as a therapist I have worked with a wide variety of clients, from professional athletes to the severely disabled. I have worked in conjunction with doctors, dentists, physical therapists, chiropractors, and acupuncturists. During this time I have gleaned a wealth of information about the body and the problems that can arise. I have learned about the help that I can and, sometimes more importantly, cannot provide.

Business Owner
I received my massage training at the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy. Prior to massage, I was a database developer who spent entirely too much time glued to an LCD screen. I am also a graduate of Brown University, studied drums and percussion at Berklee School of Music and have trained extensively in Chinese Martial Arts and yoga.
I specialize in deep tissue work and use hot stones in most treatments. The hot stones help to loosen the muscles and allow deeper work in less time. My main clientele has been dancers, yogis and martial artists, so I have seen a wide variety of sports related issues. I have also spent two years working with a therapist who specializes in treatment of TMJD. We worked alongside dentists to treat the muscular problems associated with the joint dysfunction.
