History

Established in 1985.

I grew up in Amherst, MA and first learned how to paint by helping my father paint our three story house at 149 High Street as a child growing up. He and I would paint every summer, painting only certain sections at a time because of the size of the house. When I went to college, my summer job was painting for other painting contractors. I started Bob Peters Painting when I was in graduate school at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, working only 25 to 30 hours a week. After finishing graduate school my business exploded when I started painting on a regular basis at «Historic Deerfield» in Deerfield, MA. The high quality of painting at «Historic Deerfield» and the attention to detail that it required was a perfect fit for my new business, as this was the philosophy of painting that my father had taught me while working on our house in Amherst. As word spread of the excellent quality of work that I was giving my customers, my painting reputation and business began to grow.

As the owner of Bob Peters Painting, the most important things that I do are two fold. First, it is my responsibility to make absolutely sure that the quality of painting is done the right way. This begins with expert surface evaluation and high quality preparation. This is followed by clean precision painting performed by highly skilled painters who take «pride» in the work they do. Second, it is also my responsibility to instill in my employees the core of my business philosophy, customer care and satisfaction. Having positive relations with all of our customers is of primary importance. My goal is superior customer service based on integrity, reliability and professionalism. I love my job. Getting to meet and work with such a variety of people in my business is very rewarding. Watching the transformation of the houses and businesses that we paint is very fulfilling.
