Very good deal if you have the buy one get one coupon from the Val-pak! You choose exactly what you want in your pasta and they cook it right there. Would recommend!

I was craving something quick and filling. I ordered a Shrimp Alfredo and had it delivered to me. I got my food in 15 minutes which was super quick for any kind of delivery service. The meal came with a small«dinner roll sized» bread, packs of Parmesan and butter. It was definitely filling and hit my craving spot. There was plenty of shrimp for the money. I had a small portion leftover, but I think for a normal person, it will be just enough. It was only $ 13,($ 2 for delivery). The only thing I had to comment on was that I wished that it was a little more«wet». The pasta sort of clumped together, but it didn’t bother me too much. I will definitely order from here again.

We were greeted upon entry by a very nice young lady who walked us through our dinner options. We both opted for bow ties which were perfectly cooked. My wife got the roasted red pepper sauce and I had the vodka sauce. We both had meatballs which were very good. You can add many different vegetables to your bowl at no cost and the meatballs and other options are reasonably priced. I had fresh garlic and red pepper added to my bowl. Everything was then heated in a pan and served piping hot with a warm roll with butter. After dinner we noticed they had an area to recycle all of your plastic items which was great. We felt the tables could have been wiped down better. Other than that very good overall for a quick hot real meal. Stop in.

This may be the first review I’ve written while still eating the food I bought! I am that happy of a camper and will absolutely be returning. Before I go on though, I want to address the fact that so far this place has some wildly mixed reviews. It’s a Fast-Casual style restaurant — essentially your Chipotle or Shake Shack of pasta — and so I will review it in that vein. As soon as I walked in, someone yelled a friendly greeting at me from behind the counter. I made my way to the prep bar and picked my pasta, then my vegetables, meat, and sauce. It’s all scooped into a sauté pan as you’re choosing, and then put the the heat and stirred together in less than 2 minutes. Then you have 2.5−3 servings ready for under $ 10. Can’t beat the price, that’s for sure. Is this the best Pasta I have ever had? I guess no? But I’m not Italian and therefore do not have an Italian grandmother cooking for me on Sundays, and so with my limited experience of having worked at a longstanding pasta restaurant in town, I would say this pasta is pretty good, if not even comparable. It looks like some of the sauces may be(or have been) hit or miss. Personally I’m eating the vodka sauce, to which I added my standard grated cheese and red pepper flakes. I’m more than happy over here! Props to Kim F. on tasting the sauces(what a good idea!) — check out her review for more suggestions on what to order and what to avoid. I may be biased though, because this place is very gluten free friendly and I was delighted to have had such an easy time ordering. Two styles of GF pasta(rigatoni or penne), all but one sauce was GF(avoid the red pepper) and all but one meat was(the meatballs, no surprise there). They even have GF bread and desserts. Not only that, but if you’re a clean eater, you’ll do well here too! They even have a salad dressing(lite Italian) that’s made without any artificial/vegetable oils. The one compromise is the corn in the GF pasta, but you can also get a chopped salad and avoid the pasta all together. I added a photo of their ingredients list, you can check it out for even more info on what’s going into the food(and can I tell you how much I loved that poster? Transparency all the way!). As others have said — the portions are huge and so you’re getting a lot of value here. This portion will easily feed me three times, or would be a great split lunch between me and the hubster. The interior is definitely a little drab but to me it reads as a sole proprietorship still working it’s way up to fancier décor… but that doesn’t make it less drab. Will be nice in the spring when I could sit outside, but I took it to go anyway so it stop bothering me as soon as I left. Definitely going on my rotating list of Amherst/UB fast & affordable lunch options alongside Chipotle, Pi Craft, and Fugi Grill. Much cheaper than Wegmans hot bar with more options and an easier In & Out(see what I did there?!). Not a first date restaurant, not your white tablecloth Italian restaurant, but super fast and super fresh food at an amazing price and decent flavor? 4.5 stars.

Super friendly service, large portions and great variety makes this place a win! Good option for lunch or dinner very close to UB north campus. Well priced for $ 5.99 an order, which includes various kinds of pasta(extra 0.50 for whole wheat), lots of options of veggies included(spinach, peppers, beans, broccoli, peas, mushrooms), meat is extra($ 2 for meatball, $ 3 for chicken and more for speciality meats). Overall, good value as it feeds a hearty meal or even 2 for under 10 bucks. Taste-wise pretty average, but its a good option for a semi healthy and almost homemade meal on the go. Large seating area too!

Went in with low expectations and came out after eating was what I thought a pretty good meal… they have various pastas to choose from, then you choose your toppings then protien and sauce. They can add garlic, pepper flakes or other spice to your pasta… its cooked right in front of you and packed to go… it reminds me of wegmans pasta station… The noodles were cooked perfectly and the sauce I choose had plenty of flavor… my pasta lasted me two days… I wish they had a local closer to downtown where I live, or else I would be a frequent customer… staff was super friendly and explained the concept to me very well…

This was a quick Serv pasta place. We went in on a Sunday night. There were 5 people in the restaurant and the server said he couldn’t believe how busy they were. They were out of chicken, Alfredo, bow tie pasta. And loaded all of our dishes with sauce. WAYTOOMUCHSAUCE. Would not recommend.

By now, anyone that’s read more than one of my reviews should know that I’m something of a pasta fanatic. So when I visited In & Out in search of a quick bite, I had high expectations. I’d describe In & Out as the Chipotle of pasta — the setup is admittedly unique for a pasta joint. It’s a buffet layout with a decent selection of pastas, sauces, meats, and veggies. The portions are massive, and the food is filling, which are this place’s biggest strengths. Locationally, this place is prime — really close to UB North, in a plaza with a few other restaurants and a fro yo place. In & Out gets points for being cheap eats in a convenient location for hungry college students, but if you’re in search for quality over quantity, look elsewhere.

Tried this place yesterday and I gotta say I enjoyed it very much. I mean it’s no fancy Italian restaurant but you have so many choices of pasta sauces and toppings how could you go wrong? They have meat you can add on as well but I chose a vegetarian bowl with the vodka sauce. It gave me quite a bit so I had enough for lunch today! Can’t wait to go back and try something else

Fast service, nicely cooked pasta. Complimentary rolls, which did not need butter, they were warm and delicious. Prices were clearly marked. I liked it a lot.

It stuns me this place isn’t seeing more Unilocal love. Is it amazing, fine-dining Italian food? No – but it’s six bucks. Six bucks at Panera Bread gets you a bagel and a firm handshake. Six bucks at Wegmans gets you a side dish’s worth of pasta and a cup for tap water. Six bucks at regal cinemas gets you a small popcorn and 23 minutes worth of a movie. Now, six bucks at In and Out Pasta? TWOMEALS worth of food. I experimented. I asked the accommodating staff for samples of a few of their sauces. The red pepper sauce was tasty as heck. Like, really friggen tasty. The pesto-oil sauce was zesty and yummy. Don’t get creamy pesto — you’re needlessly diluting that lovely pesto flavor. The alfredo is subpar. In fact, I’m willing to bet the people that are giving this place 2-stars had the alfredo with stuffed tortellini. Don’t get the stuffed tortellini; they’re garbage. Also, the complimentary bread is quite tasty. Nice and garlicky. I loved dipping it in the red pepper sauce. Ultimately, you can walk out of here with a delicious, huge pile of food. There’s several vegetables, some truly tasty sauces, cheese, garlic, onions, red pepper flakes, butter, oil. The staff doesn’t make the food decisions for you — if your plate is boring it’s because you didn’t take advantage of the options here. So! My final advice? Get samples of a couple different sauces and find your favorites, avoid the tortellini and load your dish up. Do it right and you’ll enjoy a landslide of flavor. You’re welcome.

Pleasantly surprised! Ordered a vegetable bowl, light on the pasta and it was delicious! The girl behind the counter was very friendly and was willing to prepare my dish exactly to my liking. The inside is clean and tidy and large enough to accommodate large parties. Proximity is close to UB which must be perfect for the students there, I would think with a delivery service they could really take advantage of that… I will definitely be back!

I came here with a group of 30 and they were so gracious and the food was excellent! I got the ravioli with creamy pesto sauce and put all the vegetables in it. Everything was fresh and made right in front of you! Highly recommend!!!

I went there today! I had penne pasta with Alfredo, shrimp, tomato and mushrooms. The pasta/sauce was so bland idk if it needed salt or a different Alfredo recipe, but it was not good. The service was very great! Especially the lady at the register!

The vegetables didnt seem cooked in fact the brocoli was still frozen. Bland as well as other people had said, and relatively expensive for noodles and sauce with frozen vegetables on the side.

I’m torn between 2 and 3 stars. The food here isn’t terrible but there’s no character or life in any of what’s here. Everything is beige and blah and there’s just no character, from the employees to the surroundings, to even the food. Blah. So I came here today for lunch. The place was pretty dead. I hope it’s busier during the week. The line is kind of odd, it’s like the actual business is in too large of a space, feels very cafeteria-esque. The guy making pasta for the woman ahead of me(WHOWASTALKINGON A CELLPHONE, GRRRRR!!!) was lifeless and beige himself. Seemed to hate life and was just slopping pasta for this annoying woman. A girl came out of the back area to prep my pasta. She was way more personable but also seemed like she was just slinging ziti and could care less. I got cheese tortellini with peas, mushrooms, spinach, roasted red pepper, and chicken. Creamy pesto for the sauce. They put the pre-cooked pasta in a pan with the ingredients you choose and heat it up. The portion was enough for me for 2 meals. It was super filling. But it tasted like a freaking Lean Cuisine. Nothing special. Could have bought that in the freezer section. I think it was $ 22 for 2 pasta meals and 2 fountain drinks. The fountain choices are fine, standard. And I liked that they had to-go lids out on the counter to take. That’s helpful. I brought half my pasta home. I may try something else here again sometime, but it was merely meh on this visit. Beige. Plain. Blah.

We stopped in here after finding the wait at Olive Garden too long. Chicken was bland and white sauce was watery. Perhaps the red sauce is better. Salad was overpriced and dressing tasted watered down. The bread was fresh and good. I doubt we’ll be returning. If you try this I would recommend steering clear of a salad or anything with chicken and load up on the pasta and veggies.

Pasta past and more past is what this place had. Choose your pasta, your sauce, meat and any additional add you could think of. The combinations here are endless. The day I went in they had a cheese tortellini as a special so I went with that. I chose a creamy pesto with spinach, peas and onions. It was so yummy. They toss it in a pan to combine everything and serve it nice and hot. One of the things I really liked about this place is that they have covers for all the ingredients. It’s something that places with a similar concept lack. It reminded me of a chipotle but with pasta. I really enjoyed my pasta. I was a bit worried it might be over cooked but it wasn’t. The sauce was good but I did wish the basil was a bit stronger. The bread that came with it was nothing special but worked well to sop up the sauce. This would be a place I would come back to for lunch if in the area again.

This makes my vegetarian tummy very happy! In & Out Pasta is a great lunch and dinner place for either grabbing a delicious, filling, and fresh pasta/salad meal either to enjoy there or take to go. Laid out similar to Subway or Chipotle, In & Out Pasta has a wide selection of pastas(including vegan tortellini), sauces, vegetable mix-ins, and a salad bar. Each meal is served with an incredibly tasty Italian Garlic roll that beats(I sort of hate to admit it) Panera’s sourdough baguette any day. I’ve been here a few times and each visit has been very tasty and definitely filling! The restaurant itself is still new and very clean. There plenty of seating and lots of windows for a wide open feel. Plus, they promote recycling in their garbage bin area, which I’m always happy to see. I love this place so much, can’t recommend it enough, especially for vegans/vegetarians! Interested in more? Read about it at Vegetarian Buffalo:

There are going to be cold, dank, rainy days that call for Me to have soul food. My soul food is pasta. This place will be the destination. I like the fact that I dish is assembled right in front of You and you get to pick the components. I chose the ziti and picked the following to go with it; artichoke hearts, baby spinach and shrimp. What sauce? Why Alfredo of course. Once the meal was plated a warm roll was added to the tray. A bottle of Pellagrino mineral water was chosen to wash it all down. Last night I went there to check the place out. I can’t wait for that cold, dank, rainy day.
