We are an officially recognized Acura and Honda body shop, as well as all of our technicians being ASE and i-​Car certified, we are a member of the Coyote Vision Group. In business since 1969, we are a second-​generation shop, offering the best customer service for over 40 years!

Established in 1969 North Amherst Motors and Potters Auto & Truck Rental is a family owned

and operated business serving Hampshire and Franklin Counties. Calvin and Anne Potter opened their first automotive repair business in Amherst in 1969. Operating service stations throughout the 1970’s, led to a towing service, then full mechanical & collision repair and finally auto & truck rental, adapting to our community’s changing automotive needs. Our growth and success has comes as a result of our strive to continuously improve, our passionate love for what we do and our emphasis on customer service. Today, second generation owners, Andrew and Jocelyn Potter continue the family tradition.

Business Owner

Andrew is the second-​generation owner of North Amherst Motors. Having grown up here, he knows the ins and outs of the business better than most. Also being from the area, spending most of his life here, he knows the customers, the people and the local businesses. When someone walks in the door, even if they only visited once, Andrew typically knows them, if not by name, by their vehicle and what they were in for.

Although he spends more time in the back shop these days, he is hands-​on with the process of the customers’ vehicles, meaning that each vehicle coming in is guaranteed to be get the best service. We stand by it, as well — if you have a problem, we’re more than happy to listen, and do our best to resolve it. Even if we’re not the best fit for your situation, we will also try and find someone who is.

Having worked in all aspects of the business, from rentals to detailing to body work and mechanical repairs, Andrew knows how to get the job done.
