Roger E Bowerman – Nationwide Insurance

Was a customer of this location for 7 years. Overall was very happy with their service.
I had no accidents and nearly every renewal my rates fell by about $ 5. Over the years, I had about 5 vehicles on and off of the policy with never a hint of a problem.
The problem I have with this location is the secretary.
I got married and added my Husband as a household driver to the policy but did not add his vehicle to my policy. He was covered with his mother for 4 more months and I was a possible driver on his policy as well so we were taking our time to choose the best joint policy. This secretary then took it upon herself to do some investigative work regarding who was living at my address after I got married.
To let you in on how intrusive this was: I was paying the insurance for one family member on a separate policy who WAS living with me temporarily and the other had just transferred to a personal policy at her new address under her own name. Both of these things were communicated to the secretary previously. I was following the letter of the law and I’m sure it’s against privacy law for her to give my address to others (which she did to «confirm» whether they lived at my address or not).
Personally, I don’t appreciate being treated like a liar after 7 years of consistent, on time payments and keeping things on the up and up. My husband and I had planned on changing our policy to my company but switched to State Farm after all the dramatics.
Edit: Revising my review to 5 stars because I have learned from a family member the secretary in question has left. Other than her antics, I never had a problem with Roger Bowerman’s office. He’s always been honest, professional and prompt in returning phone calls and if there was a discount to be had, he added it to our policies.
