I have been in the retail shoe business since 1975. I came to the area in the late 70’s when I was hired to run the shoe department at Miller’s department store on main street in Nashua NH. I love NH and have lived in the area for nearly 40 years. My wife Cyndie taught kindergarten for 19 years in the Peterborough area. We have 2 daughters, one teaches in the DC area and the other is a nurse at a VA hospital in Maryland.

I did some christmas shopping here and got my girlfriend some nice winter boots. This place had a great selection of winter boots and the gentlemen that owned the store was very polite and helpful. The prices were right in line with all the big box stores for the same brands, but I loved the fact that I gave my money to a small buisness. I will be returning to purchase sneakers and hiking boots for the summer. Give this place a chance. You won’t be sorry!

I have been shopping at the Shoe Box for years since they moved to the old bank in Amherst. There’s much better parking now. I buy shoes for the entire family at the Shoe Box and have always been satisfied. If you get on the «List» they’ll keep track of your purchases and after a certain number of shoes bought, you’ll get a percentage off your next pair.

These people are not friendly and the shoes are expensive. You can get the same brands on the internet for much less. I also had a shoe repaired there. The repairman did not repair it properly and the store wouldn’t fix what he did. I would not recommend this place for shoes or repairs.

Nashua, NH
This place has a fabulous selection of shoes (at least for women, that is — I paid absolutely no attention to the mens or children’s selections). They specialize in brands that make good shoes, and for the ladies, the shoes are really cute. Only complaint is in the boutique prices. Unfortunately, quality (as they say) isn’t cheap. You won’t find closeout deals here that are much of a steal, but you will find something you like. I really can’t speak highly enough of the selection — just save up before you shop because you won’t want to walk out empty handed.
