These guys are fantastic, I highly recommend them, they were the difference that got me my new place, quite literally. The fast closing was the deciding factor in my offer being accepted, I won’t even say how fast the closing was, because you probably wouldn’t believe it! I’ve already recommended them to my friends and will definitely use them for any future purchases.

I shopped with several lenders and used those offers to negotiate the best mortgage I could get (lowest rate and lowest junk fees). The best deal came from Kristen Knight-​James at Monarch Funding. She was great to work with throughout the purchase process and everything went very quickly and smoothly. I couldn’t be happier.
Interestingly, the reason that Monarch got a shot at selling me a loan is that, as a condition of accepting my home purchase offer, the seller’s agent required that I get pre-​approved through Kristen to prove that I would be able to perform. The seller wouldn’t accept the pre-​approval letter that I had from another lender (I guess some lenders hand them out like hotcakes). That, of course, didn’t mean that I had to get my loan through Monarch, but because they came through with the best offer, I ultimately did. I’m very glad it worked out that way because Kristen was very responsive and made the process quick and easy. I will definitely use Monarch Funding again in the future.

I’ve really only wrote a few reviews on Unilocal.When I do, it’s because either the customer service was outstanding or because it was just a great experience. After purchasing our new home and closing escrow yesterday evening, my wife and I now feel compelled to write a review about Monarch Funding. Kristen helped us throughout the entire process. I had a few issues that I needed to take care of before we got the ball rolling but once we did everything was SMOOTH! This is the second home we’ve purchased and I’m sure everyone has a few horror stories about their experiences with lenders, agents etc. Kristen was VERY professional and would answer calls on her «personal» cell phone. No matter how late it was, or if it was on a weekend, she would answer or at least get back to us within a few hours of us calling. This was by far the best home buying experience I’ve ever had (not that I’m a seasoned pro by any means) but seriously. I would recommend them to anyone looking to refinance or if they’re purchasing a home. You will get treated with a professionalism that’s seldom seen these days in the real estate field. She didn’t treat us like a «case file». She treated us with the utmost respect and was very prompt on filling out and turning in paperwork. Once again… I HIGHLY recommend you use Monarch funding if you’re in the market for a new home. You won’t be disappointed.

Billy was awesome to work with, he was able to close my loan quickly and with zero hassles, and got me a very competitive rate. He was also very great at explaining all the costs/​fees so that I completely understood the process and I always felt confident through the entire process that my loan would close when I needed it to.

I have never done a Unilocal review but I had to write something about this GREAT business. Kristen is the best! We thought we would not be able to purchase our dream/​retirement home. Kristen went way out of her way to get us the loan we needed. She constantly kept us informed and made things happen!

After seeing the positive reviews on Unilocal,I went to see Wendy @ Monarch. She was able to get me the rate I wanted @ low-cost…which another broker/​lender couldn’t do w/​o adding a high loan orig. fee & still the rate was too high.

We have done 3 loans with Wendy at Monarch Funding. Wendy and Monarch are AMAZING! She makes everything seamless and easy. All of our loans closed in less than 30 days. Wendy makes the process easy. She always gets back to you within a few hours even if she is sick! They are great with working with their appraisers. We saved 15k by doing our loan through Monarch. We will do all our future loans with this company.

Well, where do I start… Monarch Funding is most definitely the best lender in all of southern California.
