Advanced Improvements

When we decided to go solar, my wife and I did a great deal of research. We contacted numerous solar companies and made every attempt to make the most informative decision possible prior to going solar. Our experience with Advanced Improvements was unlike any other company we had contacted. Athena was very friendly, kind, and extremely helpful in getting this process going for us. We never once felt pressured in any way. Jason was very knowledgeable, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. He went above and beyond to ensure that we had all of our questions answered. We later met with Dave, who again was a delight to work with. He and Jason designed a system specific to our home, based on our needs. They even took into account what would be most aesthetically pleasing. Ultimately, we decided to go with Advanced Improvements, and it was by far one of the best decisions we have made for our family and our home. Each and every individual we worked with throughout the process took the time to answer our calls (and we called a lot!), or at least return our calls promptly. They took time to answer the many questions we had. They stood by their word from day one. When appointments were made, they arrived at the specific date and time that we had set. When they said our system would be installed by a specific date, they followed through with their word. These are qualities that are hard to find these days.
We were equally as happy with the actual installation of our system. Ryan and his crew did a phenomenal job. Not only were they punctual, they were kind, friendly, and did amazing work. Their work was clean, neat, and very attentive to detail. True craftsmanship on their part. They worked hard, and always had a smile on their face. Again, when they said the system would be installed by a specific date, they stood by their word. After installation, we worked with Jason and John to finish the final inspection, install our envoy system, and to make sure we were completely satisfied with the finished product. We could not be happier.
Going solar was a huge decision for our family. It can seem daunting, and confusing at times. We are so thankful we went with Advanced Improvements. They walked us through the entire process, and left no questions unanswered. We were so impressed with the quality of work, and the integrity each individual displayed that we came into contact with. Most importantly, our system has been working great, and it is a huge relief being able to have little or no electric bill! We would 100% recommend Advanced Improvements to anyone thinking about going solar. Knowing that they also do many more things aside from solar, we plan to come back to them for future projects.

What a scam shop this place is. Unfortunate that they’re on the very short approved vendors list for energy rebates… First of all, most unorganized schedule to get the required repairs done. What should have been a quick process dragged on for several months because they couldn’t keep the project on track. For almost 3 weeks, the back half of my house was without power because they screwed something up replacing the fuse box and wouldn’t get us on the schedule to get it fixed and we’re basically told we just had to deal with it. They nearly flooded my kitchen when replacing the water heater when they used an unfinished kitchen sink to test the water was off. When they turned the water back on, there was no pipe to catch the outflow and they left the faucet running all over my floor. I will say that once things did get going work quality, was acceptable except there is still a giant hole in my hallway ceiling that they refused to send out someone to fix. Our work has been done for MONTHS and they haven’t filed our rebate paperwork. And on top of it, they lied to my husband and I about how much of a rebate we would qualify for with the $ 44k in solar and repairs we did with them. They got paid, so now they can care less about us. And Athena? What a lying piece of work she is? Super lazy… Super unorganized. Ignores phone calls, and the only reason she works there is because she’s married to the owner and apparently that’s more important than hiring a qualified office manager to run the back end. They literally have fallen off the planet with us, don’t see this experience ending well without an appearance in court at this point.

I started the solar process at the end of Sept 2014. My solar was up and running in less than two months total. The install went flawlessly. The job couldn’t be any cleaner. Just got my first monthly edison bill… .96 cents! Are you kidding me? Its awesome! Just produced over 30 kWh in one day (in feb!). Cant wait until the longer days to see what I produce… Highly recommend these guys!

I decided to wait to give my final review after a few months have gone by, and here it is… I love solar! My system is functioning exactly as planned. My generation numbers are beating expectations… and my SCE bill is near zero. As we get into spring, I will start building SCE credits to be used for summer A/​C use. Advanced Improvements delivered exactly what they said they would… Thank You!

I initially went to them for a tankless water heater and they installed it flawlessly. After awhile I had some issues and they came out and found that the water heater needed some work, which they completed under warranty. At that time they suggested a filtration system because of the water in my community, which I had them install. Two years after the filter install, we were having the same issue of calcium in the water and they without any issue came out and added a water softener to my system. When Joe was doing the install he did above and beyond to make us happy. I can not say enough about the professionalism and customer service of Advanced. We are now looking at solar systems and expect to use advanced for that project as well.

I am a very picky customer and searched various solar panel vendors. Advanced Improvement was the best price, but more than that, they were the most informative with excellent customer service. They installed LG panels with free monitoring. They took care of all the forms and submission required with the city. We used the HERO program to finance the panels, which is much better than leasing (PLEASE, if you are reading this, look more into HERO program). Advanced Improvements can help you through the application process as well. I worked closely with Dave and he was very prompt, courteous, and informative. He’s not pushy with sales tactics either. Everything went smoothly from end to end. After signing the contract, the panels were installed and completed within 5 weeks!!!

SOLAR: With so many solar companies out now and horror stories of people getting ripped off I was skeptical of who to go with. Was referred to Advanced Improvements by a friend who had solar installed by them. I spoke to Jason about my electric bill which is typically $ 300-​$ 600 a month winter/​summer. He seemed very truthful and told me about every solar option I could go with. It seemed informational rather than a sales pitch. He wasn’t trying to steer me into only one option as all the others do. They also had great financing options if needed. After researching a few other companies I decided to go with Advanced Improvements mainly because they explained it all so well not to mention had the best price.
I ended up with 51 micro inverter panels. Installation was very fast (week or so). They have their own crew, nothing subcontracted. My wife commented on how helpful and polite Joe was who ran the job. They used top quality name brand system components and it’s all wired up to my internet for easy access from any phone/​computer. After you get installed you then have to deal with SCE getting Net Metering started. Advanced Improvements took care of it all and stayed on top of it. After a month I was on NEM. Now my bill will be almost zero.
All in all, excellent service, system, and price. I highly recommend you at least talk to them if you are thinking of installing solar.

Water heater was leaking. Call several plumbers for an estimate. By far, Advanced had the best price. Four hours later we had hot water thanks to installer Oscar.

Advanced Improvements recently installed solar electricity on my home. I now have a 51 panel micro-​inverter system that will virtually eliminate my SCE bill. The entire process went very smooth and moved along quickly. I could not be happier. They sell top rated products and install them with precision. It was a pleasure to work with a company who is honest and has integrity. I will recommend Advanced Improvements to all of my friends and family.

Great guys, very prompt and did a great job. They did whole setup of new heater, air conditioning. Full solar panel setup and tankless water heater and helped with all paperwork needed.

Called Advanced after our water heater started leaking. Dave is great at providing the right info and giving a reasonable quote. The installers were awesome and professional. I now have a tankless system that will last (hopefully) many years to come.

This company is top notch. Jason is an expert in this field and seems to truly enjoy coming up with effective, modern solutions for his customers. All of his employees know their stuff and represent the company well. I’ve had them do everything from gas and electrical in a major remodel, replace air conditioners, install instant hot water systems, and add solar to my home. All work was done professionally after a thorough consultation. No surprises and great service/​follow-​up after the fact. I never hesitate recommending this company to family, friends, and associates.

Advanced is simply the best. These guys have installed tank-​less water heaters in my two homes, completed an energy efficient heating and AC system, recently installed solar system and a hot water circulation system for us. They even fixed my soft water system that somebody else installed because I didn’t realize that they did this. Jason and his team are the best. On the rare occasion something needs attention they are right on it. Recommended to numerous friends and family members who are all satisfied customers as well. Cant say enough as to how good this company is.
