I don’t understand all the low reviews because we really enjoyed our stay here! Super affordable, got a great deal through Costco. Room was on the 4^th floor, newly remodeled room. Hotel is undergoing renovations but our stay wasn’t negatively effected by it at all. Our balcony had a great view of two fireworks. Breakfast was great especially that it was included. Plenty of different options that change every day. We were satisfied with the options; fresh fruit is great to take with you for a snack at the parks. 10 min walk from parks which was great! Fantastic location and very clean. The walk to Disneyland is less than 10 minutes and is located near a lot of restaurants. My young daughter and I stayed there for three night and very much enjoyed it. The free breakfast was good and the free parking was even better! We will definitely stay again!

One of the worst hotels my family and I had ever stayed. AC was broken the whole time we were in our room. The staff did little to nothing to fix it. No bell service or valet. So if you have a big family with a lot of luggage good luck. The rooms are cramped and poorly ventilated, plus the lay out is horrible. Construction was going on on our floor with loud music blaring plus my mother in law almost was hit by a piece of tile one of the workers was throwing out into the hallway. The staff tried to be courteous but failed miserably. They did nothing to fix any of the problems we had with the room just kept say «we are sorry» but not really doing anything about it. When we checked in we were pressured to sign up for a time share tour at another property which was annoying and not something people want. And to top it off the hot water went out on a Saturday morning when everyone was getting ready for a long day at Disneyland. We will never stay here again and I suggest you don’t either. We are also going to write a complaint to Disneyland and suggest they take it off the Neighborhood hotel list. Worst hotel I have ever been a guest. And one star is generous.

This hotel was pretty darn good for the price we got. We bought a groupon for a «mystery hotel» for our trip to Disneyland. This hotel fit all my requirements, walking distance to Disney, a pool, and a hot breakfast, so we kept the groupon. Our flight arrived at 8:30am and checkin isn’t until 3pm. But the hotel had a secure holding room for our luggage, so we could leave our stuff there and explore Disney while we waited for checkin. Upon entering our room, it was clean and bright. The bathroom was nice and clean and I have no complaints about the room. The only complaints I have are that there is no shuttle from the airport, so we had to Über. Also, as mentioned in other reviews, the walls are thin. Very thin. We could hear the people in the neighboring room when they got up at 6am. Doors being opened around us sounded like someone was opening our door. The breakfast was tasty, the potatoes were really good. The pool was a pool. It was a little cold for my taste, but we had a hard time getting the kids out of it, so it wasn’t too terrible. All in all, I think I’d stay here if I got another good deal. I don’t think I’d pay full price though.

2 stars for the S.L.O.W service. We arrived early after calling for early check in and placing early check in request online. Waited as of this moment 2.5 hours for a room to be cleaned. Asked multiple times the 2 employees at desk only to get we will ask housekeeping if it’s done… seems that staff has no concern in guest happiness or requests. Won’t be staying here again.

Love staying at this hotel, our family has had nothing but great experience here. Full free breakfast every morning with biscuits and gravy eggs sausage pattys, seasoned potatoes donuts fruit and a few other items you can make your own waffles and milk juice and coffee great start before heading over to Disneyland. They don’t charge any extra fee for parking as some of the other hotels do. Close walking distance, and the restaurant at the hotel will room service up to you and happy hour beverages that was a plus when we just wanted to relax and hang out in the room. Pool and spa as well great place to stay !!! Of course we all experience things in our own way!

The Desert Palms Suites and Hotel: Let’s start with the good. It is one of the more affordable hotels with-​in walking distance to the main gate. For its age it is Clean, fairly well kept, friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance to the main gate of Disneyland is about 12 min. Upon our arrival, they did upgrade us to a suite — which was nice so the teenager had his own space (all you experienced parents know exactly what I’m saying). The two disappoints where the pool and the breakfast buffet. The pool is small and completely in the shade, probably a nice thing in the heat of summer, but I was looking to tint my NW white skin. The buffet is a major disappointment, they market it to a point that my expectations where too high for what’s provided. Sausage patties that resemble a thin hockey pucks (and just as chewy), eggs that are pre-​cooked rubbery disks, tasteless biscuits and milk gravy as ingesting as… well, milk. Waffles were Ok and they do have a small variety of bread, English muffins and bagels.
So if you go, don’t get hopes up on the food.

the hotel was very pretty, very clean, staff was super friendly. breakfast was pretty good. if I came back to Disneyland I would stay here and I will recommend them to my friends.

Have no idea why the hot tub closes at 10. When it’s lights are still on. Waste of a hotel. Hotel breakfast not worth it

At first look this place is nice, I couldn’t figure out why it scored so low… and then I actually sat in the room for a little bit.
It is 11:53pm on a Monday. The people upstairs sound like they are running. I can hear everything in the room next door. The plumbing is making crazy sounds that last for a few minutes after the toilet has been flushed. The air conditioner does not work it doesn’t even power up. The remote is for a zenith tv, and the tv in tech room is an LG.
The only reason I’m giving it 3 stars is the close proximity to Disney. Quick walk, but still trying to figure out if it was worth the amount I paid for all of the broken, non functioning things in the room.

i dont know why this hotel only has 3 stars but i give it a 4 ½ because the house keeping is great, they clean very well & leave the room smelling fresh. breakfast is also served daily on the fifth floor which is great and remodeling is currently being done. you can literally walk from disneyland to the hotel in about 5 – 10 mins which is not bad at all! coffee is also served in the lobby and their water is very refreshing

Chose this hotel because it was given three out of five stars on multiple sites. Thought this would be a good middle of the road option. However, I plan to never stay here again and will spring for a more expensive option in the future.
The walls are really thin and the hallways are extremely loud. You can hear every person coming and going inside and out. The cleaning carts are squeaky and the staff loud. The beds are uncomfortable and even the walls inside the room are thin so anytime someone uses the restroom you know about it. There was a truck parked outside our room window the two nights we were there… made opening the window a little uncomfortable.
It just seems as though they can treat you however and charge you whatever they want because they know they are close to the park.

Was very nice! I was impressed! The beds were comfy and so were the pillows which is a big plus. Everything was clean and spotless. I loved the bathroom vanity mirror, nice surprise! The staff were so friendly and gave us nice tips about the restaurants around us! One more thing, complimentary breakfast on the roof top was so nice ! The only con I can think of is how the walls are thin and I could hear my Neighbors but it didn’t bother me to much! We will be back !

Here are all my complaints… it’s to close to Disneyland, they offer free parking, the breakfast is to fresh and expansive, no wait those are good things! Oh ya, the staff is to friendly, nope, still not a complaint. Oooh I got one… The rooms were newly remodeled… Not a complaint. How about the infused water in the lobby was to cold… Well dang it, I have nothing bad to say!!!
Ok, in all honesty, we love this place! The price is wonderful! It’s with in walking distance to the park, the staff is friendly, the rooms were clean, I really did not hear any other guests, they always have infused water and (decent)coffee in lobby, and then there’s the free «continental» breakfast. The breakfast is insane!!! No joke… They have a waffle station with 2 kinds of waffles, a toast maker, tons of kinds of bread. A few different kinds of cereal, eggs, fruit, potatoes, and a special (one day it was biscuits and gravy, one day it was breakfast burritos) and they let you take it to your room!!! The breakfast is bonkers!!! The room is clean, and staff is always hurrying around to make it tidy, and refill everything. And they have Disney cartoons on repeat! Genus! It was a perfect destruction got our babe!
I honestly don’t think we will ever stay else ware! Love this place!

One of the most underwhelming hotels I’ve ever stayed in. They can get away with charging so much because of the close proximity to Disneyland, but I’m sure you could get a better value for your money elsewhere.
The rooms are just generally in poor condition– our kitchenette’s oven unit was beat up, the faucet was leaky, showers had mildew building up. The mattress on the pullout bed was horrible, and having a room with a balcony facing the street, I could hear all the traffic sounds due to paper thin walls and a 1″ gap in the sliding door seal. The front door had a gap as well, letting hallways light in the cracks.
The «coffee machines» for the rooms are laughable. The blow dryer in my sister’s room blew up the first night she used it, smoke and sparks and all. She left a message with the front desk and they were uncommunicative about repairing it. Additionally, a pack of diapers went missing from our room. We’re disappointed in the condition of this hotel and the customer service provided; we won’t be returning.

This is our second stay at this hotel. We hoped it would be better this time, but nope. It’s just as dissapointing. Here are the issues:
The lobby is leukwarm, the hallways, elevators and public restrooms are either corridors or portals to hell! I honestly think the savannah in summer would be cooler. Our shower faucet was broken. My folks reported it but it took 2 days to get fixed.
By far the most heinous act was committed when the maids for some ungodly reason unbeknownst to us decided to turn off the AC in our room while we were at the park. It was a long hot and very humid day, we looked forward to being rewarded with a cool blast of delicious chill upon returing. but no… after running the gauntlet that is the afore mentioned hellaciously hot elevator and corridor we are greeted with what feels like a blast furnace. Who the heck does that?! Here it is 11:30 pm and the room is just now cooling down.
We wanted desperately to take showers, but for some reason the maids decided to further punish us by not leaving any washcloths. Our simple request for 4 was answered by being given a stack of 6.
There are a few positives. the rooms are goodly sized, and pretty clean. They do have mini fridges and microwaves. Most of the staff encountered are pleasant. The breakfast is edible (I think I may be addicted to the waffles)
On the whole, if you stand the heat… it’s not a bad place. I can’t so I wont.

This hotel was just awesome. It was super close to disneyland so we just walked over. Our room was very clean. The bathroom appliances were up to date. My favorite part was the breakfast. They had so much food I basically ate until I couldn’t eat any more. They had a nice pool that we used a couple of times. They also had a little shop in the lobby where I got some pain reliever one day which was a huge life saver. Overall my husband and I were very pleased with our stay, and we plan to make this or go to hotel when we come to Disneyland.

We’ve been to Disneyland many times and this hotel has been the best hotel we’ve stayed at hands down. Our kids were very young but it’s a short enough walk to the park and it’s close to some inexpensive food places like subway.
So if you’re on a budget with the family, the hotel offers a free buffet breakfast which is amazing because it’s the first meal of the day and the kids stay full for a long time.
The pool is less desirable but it’s still a pool. Gotta stay here, best value for your money.
Kids had their own attached room too which was also a bonus.

This is the perfect place for families going to Disneyland. You can walk to the park in less than 10 minutes, no need to drive or take a shuttle. They offer free parking and WiFi here also. I don’t have my own family, but staying here with the neice and nephews was perfect! Free breakfast in the morning and small outdoor pool for cooling off worked great. The cleaning staff was awesome, you can tell they are used to cleaning up after kids!

Parking has been a ridiculous affair. It took over a half hour to find a parking spot. Now we are trying to leave and two cars are blocking my car in. The hotel cannot contact one owner and the spot is too tight to manuever out. We have a doctors appointment and no idea if we can leave today! The rooms are outdated and overpriced. The electrical outlets in the bathroom didnt work and others in the room sparked when we used them. Staff is very nice but onviously not helpful if you have checked out and need to leave. I feel like I am stuck in the Hotel California song.
