History
Established in 2004.
Since its inception, OC Medical Group has been dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care with successful clinical outcomes.
Dr. Coufal has always had a special interest in research. His research and residency years led him to neurotraumatology, which is where he learned the management of spinal trauma with spinal cord injuries. Other research work he performed resulted in him being awarded the 1996 Volvo Award for Spine Research. His interests led him to pursue an extra year of fellowship training in complex spinal surgery once his residency concluded.
To date he has been featured on «The Oprah Winfrey Show», several Discovery Health Channel dramatic recreations, «The 700 Club», and «The Montel Williams Show». One of his cases was also publicized in a Good Housekeeping article, he was featured in Orange Coast Magazine as one of Orange County’s Top Doctors and was also recommended by Dr. Alan Cheng in an article relating to spinal injuries in OC Health.
