Georgie’s Donuts

I used to LOVE Georgies. To the point that I would sing their praises to anyone who would listen if the topic of donuts came up. This was primarily because they had a killer unglazed, old fashioned cake donut. Unglazed isn’t as easy to come by as one may think, so Georgie’s became my go-​to for my favorite treat. I went there for years.
One day, I went in and asked for my usual. The person behind the counter stared at me like he had seen a ghost and acted like he had no idea what I was talking about. I described it using a glazed old fashioned as an example. «It’s like this one, only without the icing,» I said. He replied with «we don’t make those anymore.» WHAT? You make them, you just put icing on them. The icing is the only difference between what I want and what you have and what you have had for years and years. I’m not the crazy one here, sir!
After reading that paragraph, maybe I am. Regardless… the other donuts at Georgie’s are fine, but the service on my last trip and the fact that they «no longer make» unglazed old fashioneds now has me going to Rose Donuts on Lincoln and Rio Vista.

I’ve came here two times to buy a boba drink and a donut. I noticed the lady didn’t wash her hands and I know this because I ordered with one lady which left when the other lady came in. I didn’t know how to approach her and thought it would be best to simply not come back.

What happened to this place? Thry changed their ham and cheese croissant and i dont like them. There is now literally no cheese or ham in their ham and cheese compared to before. Wasted money.

This donut shop is less than a mile from my house & I drive a good 15 mins to another shop now when we want some. On top of having little to no selection, the people that work there are RUDE. I had a terrible experience here not too long ago. The lady charged me & I gave her a $ 5 bill but as she handed me change I realized she charged me too much. I let her know (nicely, mind you) & she absolutely refused to admit it. I was appalled because we only ordered 2 donuts & a coffee, so it wasn’t that hard to figure out. She changed the prices to make it seem like she added it up right. It was only a difference of 50 cents but it’s the dishonesty I was upset about. If they’re taking a small amount from each person that walks in & orders more than one thing, I wonder how much extra money they’re making! I will make exceptions for a lot of different things because no business is perfect, but dishonesty is unacceptable. DK donuts in Orange is amazinggggg. Go there instead.

Dang it, Georgie’s! You’ve gone downhill.
I’ll admit that it’s been over a year since I’ve stopped by to grab some donuts, but things have been the same since I was a kid. However, the donuts are now bland, flat, and pathetic. The jelly donut I bought had a dot of jelly the size of a quarter and that was it. What the heck happened??? What happened to the perfectly golden discs of goodness you used to sell?
Step it up, Georgie.

Quick and friendly service. Always baking and putting out fresh product. I am partial to the jalapeño ham and cheese croissant!

We were having a hankering for sugar and knew that this place was open 24-​hours, so that’s where we went. I’ve been during the day and they’ve had an abundant to choose from. They were pretty and tasted good — even better, on the cheap side, too.
On this cold night we entered an empty shop with a completely bare display case. A lady came out and asked if she could help us. Why yes, we would like some donuts… are you still open? She said they were and only had these two plain donuts left. We were perplexed… Why stay open if you have no product to sell. This immediately caused me to ask, «are you making more?» Which the lady behind the counter said, «No, sorry.»
So I guess they’re open at night and only sell whatever didn’t sell that day…
Ms. Donuts is down the street, they are open 24-​hours and they always seem to be making fresh stuff. I guess that’s where I’ll be spending my late night sugar binges.

I was still hungry after my Blind Rabbit and my ninja offered to take me to the donut place.

This is my new go to donut place. Its less than a mile from my house, Its 24 hours, and the donuts are good.
I don’t really eat donuts, but I like to treat my co workers to some sugar high during the early morning grind. Everyone seems to like it. They even have blueberries donut! I usually get about 2 dozen assortment. Seems to be something for everyone.
I would of given them a 5 stars but the lady that work there isn’t friendly at all.

After walking in & seeing 2 cockroaches I won’t be buying a donut here anytime soon. Run away!

Donut craving satisfied!
Arrived around 10:30 AM on a Sunday morning and place was pretty crowded as all the tables were full. Line to order went by fast and I was able to be in and out within a few minutes.
Ordered: Classic glaze, Glazed twist, and Chocolate bar. Donuts were SO FLUFFY and just melted in my mouth with every bite. Talk about pure bliss. They tasted fresh and glaze was the right amount of sweet.
Minus 1 star for debit/​credit card fees ($ 0.50)
Overall, I’ll be back but with cash next time. Already drooling for my next donut…

One of the Best little donut shops in Anaheim, must try their Thai Iced Tea and blueberry glaze donuts !!! Also the earlier you go the better.

Hole in the wall. Which is often a good thing in so cal, true in this case, ordered a breakfast croissant i had to use 2 hands to hold it. Delish. Girlfriend had apple fritter rates it 5 stars. Vanilla smoothies were also 5 star D licious. 50 cent charge for credit card? Bring cash

I’ve been going to Georgie’s Donuts since I was in elementary school and I have yet to try/​find a better donut place. They make their donuts every morning and I love it.

Its a donut shop.
The prices are what you’d expect to pay for donut.
They stay open relatively late.
The donuts aren’t exceptionally great or fresh, so i don’t understand the 4 star rating.
I guess if you’re local & want the average strip mall shopping center donut, go for it. But there is absolutely no reason to drive across town for this place.

Inexpensive and delicious donuts!
I’ve gotten their donuts multiple times, and they’re always consistently good. The cake donuts aren’t too dense, and their glazed donuts are SO light and fluffy. Their donuts also do NOT have that heavy, greasy, oily taste that some places have.
Definitely my go-​to place for donuts in my neighborhood :)

I was initially going to go with a two star rating, as «meh, I’ve experienced better» is a more accurate representation of my thoughts more so than the «A-​OK» that accompanies the three star option. But they deserve at least three stars seeing as I happened to wander in well after midnight, and everything there appeared to be fairly fresh, as opposed to sitting around hardening throughout the day.
I sampled a chocolate bar and a cinnamon coated offering at the suggestion of a local fireman who was on his way out upon my arrival. Both were not as good as the reviews which led me here suggested they would or should be. They were simply regular donuts… nothing more, nothing less. They weren’t stale at all, but they didn’t taste particularly special, either. Just very run of the mill. And no establishment should receive more than three stars simply because their offerings aren’t fresh.
To their credit, they’re open 24 hours… though the atmosphere felt a bit sketchy. It didn’t feel safe to stick around, hence my order was to go.
For something special, head to Donut Man in Glendora. They too are also open 24/​7, and for good reason. There’s a reason their line seldom dies. This particular establishment sufficed to satisfy a late night craving in a pinch, but not to any impressive degree indicative of the reviews here. But the three stars I’ll give them are solid, as I’ve sampled fare from other average places that I didn’t even bother finishing. If nothing else, I did finish the two I picked up here.
I’ll give them another try down the road. They deserve a second chance.

This is my absolute favorite donut shop in Orange county. Why go to a Krispie Cream when you have a place like this around the corner? My friend got me a donut here after I told him it was the best donut shop in town. Low and behold, my glazed donut and sugar twistie was absolutely sweet and delicious! I also recommend the chocolate bar. And it’s open 24 hours a day 7 days a week, so if you ever have a donut craving, this is THE place to park you car and munch on donuts!

Georgie’s 24 hour a day Donuts — I think I love you! Whose brilliant idea was it for most of the donut shops in Anaheim to close at noon? As an out of towner needing her sugary donut fix, I did not find it at all amusing. I read Unilocaler Roy B.‘s review which stated that Georgie’s was open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and made a beeline for it!
The two ladies behind the counter were very friendly as I paced back and forth inspecting the vast array of donuts like a victim trying to identify their perpetrator in a police lineup. Who would be the lucky winner today? Even the one other customer in the store, a large Hispanic man covered in tattoos, smiled at me as I apologized to everyone and no one in particular «I’m sorry, I just can’t make up my mind.
A quick spin of my mental roulette wheel and — bam — chocolate iced raised donut — I choose you. At only $.80, this seems much cheaper than the donuts back home in Bakersfield. They were large and not too shiny (Not that weird overly shiny look grocery store donuts get when they overglaze them and let them sit in the case for too long). The donut texture was light and fluffy, compressing slightly at the edges of each bite. The chocolate frosting was sweet and chocolatey without being cloyingly sweet. There was a good frosting to dough ratio and it just seemed like everything was on point.
I’ve had my sugar fix, at least for now, and the smile on my face is just a little bit brighter.

Picked up a few dozen for my crews this morning. Like many times before they were all fresh and all good. Plus they toss in a few extra for good measure.
I love the old fashioned buttermilk plain donuts, bear claws, and apple fritters. YUM! Good coffee too. Been here many times and never had a bad donut, bad coffee, or bad service.
Plus they’re open 24 – 7 so if you’re craving something sweet at 3am this is your spot.
Decent prices too.
