Goodwill Store & Donation Center

This place used to be good. Now it’s over priced… What a shame. Someone got greedy.

This use to be the spot to get what you needed and for cheap but the last couple times I’ve come they have doubled their prices I work for marshalls and our clothes are cheaper I’m shocked by the hunger for money these people have 6.99 for a long sleeve shirt with holes and stains colors are all wore out what are they thinking I understand it’s a donation center but let’s not act like your a Ross or dds discount I will start looking for somewhere else to get my kids clothes I hear savers is pretty good. Smh

Great Thrift Store but the employee’s aren’t always sure what they’re doing.

This place is well organized, by far the cleanest goodwill I’ve seen! There is always something waiting for me there.

Super easy to drop off donations. They have blue carts outside to bring to your cart to drop off donations. The donation center is right in the front making the parking easy. The staff are so friendly!

Didn’t find much but was able to grab a pair of cute sandals. I bring most of my donations here. I should have thought of this place when I was throwing out stuff the first time I cleaned out the house. Second time I dropped off tons of great stuff. Now I’ve sending over lots more but found out the donation area closes at 7. A bit disappointed. But I’ll be back tomorrow

I’ve never had a bad visit and always find a great find! Kerig K-​cup holder, new and usually runs 20 bucks scored it for 3.99. Purchased a brand new Revlon blow dryer for just 7.99 today! 2 weeks ago I purchased 4 boxes of the swiffer wet jet mopping pads, each box ran me 2.99! That’s a major score! I’ve purchased brand new target boots, sandals, toys and today a super awesome shoe organizer also from target!

They took my things at the donation center while I was in a rush to get rid of them late at night. Young man and a woman were extremely kind and friendly. Thank you :)

This thrift store is a little far from home for me, but I like it nonetheless. Its a really big location and its organized pretty well. This is one of the Goodwill locations that receive overstock products from Target, so I’ve managed to score BRAND NEW Target items like — little bedside tables, blankets, dresses, and sandals! Definitely a score for me!
This store only gets three stars though, because of this one employee that was determined to give me a hard time when I last came by this store a few weeks ago. I didn’t catch her name, but she was a blonde lady who just seems to hate working there. I was minding my own business, walking and browsing among the clothes and she was following behind me sighing VERY loudly and slamming things around. She kept muttering to herself about how she «didn’t want to be at work» and kept bumping me. I decided to just let it go and I continued shopping.
A little later, I was getting tired and my feet were hurting, but my mom was still looking around, so I had to wait. Since there aren’t any benches or chairs to sit in around the store, I settled on sitting on the floor (ew I know, but I was tired!) I made sure to sit somewhere out of the way, so I sat close to the dressing rooms, against a wall. I had a cart full of items we were going to buy, so I just had it next to me and I was leaning against it. Then the same lady walked past me and yells (even though I’m a foot away) «Hey! Is this your cart?!» And I said «Yes, this is mine.» And she huffed and walked away. I was a little confused because I didn’t know it was such a crime to have a cart with items… but I continued to sit and wait for my mom. Then five minutes later, the lady comes back and starts pulling my cart away from me that I was leaning on. And I said «Um, excuse me, I’m buying this stuff» and she turns around and shouts at me «A minute ago you told me this WASN’T yours!» And I said «I said ‘Yes, this is mine.’» And she rolls her eyes at me, blurts out «Whatever» and shoves the cart back at me, hitting me with it. HOW RUDE! I was really tempted to go yell at her, but I quickly decided otherwise. What terrible customer service.
I might come back here again, but I’m certainly going to steer clear of that employee…
OH and DO NOT come here at night — this is not somewhere you want to be at night. Too rough of an area.

Out of the five locations I go to at least once a month, this is the only Goodwill I’ve never found anything of significance at.
The buildings attached used to be a Food4Less and a couple of other stores, but they went under about 2 – 3 years ago and the rest of the area is just falling apart. I had an acquaintance/​fwb who used to live across the street. And she complained about the gang violence every week and even heard gun shots a couple of times when somebody got shot. Not a good area to hang around, even the Beach Blvd hookers are reluctant to troll here at night.

Great location, off of Beach Blvd and Lincoln near the Rally’s. I came here to donate and easily found parking right by the donation center. There was a pile for clothing and housewares, very organized. The staff were very helpful in grabbing our bags and heavy items to donate. After you hand in your donations, the staff provides you with a donation tax receipt from the Goodwill of Orange County, «this receipt is the only record of your tax-​deductible donation.» Unlike the Goodwill center I donate to in Norwalk which gives you a print out indicating the number of bags you have donated, this location allows you to indicate the items you are donating. If you are familiar with itemzing when it comes to doing your taxes, you don’t go by number of bags, but by the items in which you are actually donating. I gave one star off because a lady drove up to me in her car asking for some of the items I brought, in other words anybody off the street can try and beg you for your stuff. As for the Norwalk Goodwill, it has a drop off area that is more discreet and not so accessible for any stranger to just drive by because it is a smaller parking lot which usually has a Goodwill truck to block a lot of vehicles from loitering. So if you need to donate, it’s not too late!
