Great food. More reasonably priced than competitors, a good place to go. Their potato salad is really tasty, rice is great. Can’t ask for more.

Their food is good I’ll give them that. Their service on the other hand is hands down terrible. I called in an order and after 15 minutes I finally got a hold of someone who immediately placed me on hold. Then once I got to the restaurant I still had to wait 30 minutes for my food which they got wrong. I didn’t get all my sides. The food is not good enough to compensate for their LACK of service, sorry.

This is one of my favorite chicken places around! Way better than El Pollo Loco. Their rotisserie chicken is amazing and their sides are great too. My favorite thing to order here is the chicken tacos, they seem so simple but they do them really well. Such a great chicken restaurant place!

I don’t give a shit what anyone says. Juan Pollo is the bomb! For my birthday, I ordered a party pack that feeds 10 – 15 people & I was able to feed WAYYY more than that. I love how plates & sporks are included in the party package. One less thing I had to worry about getting. I was worried the chicken was going to be dry, but it was delicious & moist! The potato salad is tasty, as well as the beans. Tortillas were aiiiight. Co-workers gobbled everything up. Thank you, Juan Pollo. You never disappoint!

Second time here & we found a huge ass hair in our chicken. We’re not about to eat that, so we threw away the whole chicken. We called them just to let them know & they said«the men handle the chicken; keep the hair & chicken and call corporate»!!! Why would we do that, all we’re asking is to be careful. We’ll go back to the Original one on Imperial & telegraph in La Mirada/Whittier.

Awesome! I had 23 guests at my sons birthday party and we had plenty of leftovers! We had catering deal #2. We have half a tray of chicken left over, it was really good. Its kind of dry not bad though but put salsa that they provide as well and with the beans, rice, and potato salad your good! They also provided totillas, hot salsa, mild salsa, plates, sporks, and napkins so I had less to worry about. The rice was above average. It had shredded chicken on top and very good flavor and feel thoughout, very much like a home cooked meal. The beans were great and the potato salad was amazing with chopped green onion, very good. Overall truly satisfied with the food, service and the price. Everyone was happy. It was great!

Unilocal Challenge 2015224⁄365 Juan Pollo, I don’t know Juan, but I know he knows his Pollo. We’re talking, mouthwatering, flavorful thighs, juicy breasts and some long legs. Give me a plate of meat and I am one happy girl. That was pretty much all I ate, meat and 1 tortilla with salsa. Our dinner for two for provided us with tortillas, special pollo rice, beans, potato salad and salsa for $ 16 and some change with tax. The potato salad according to the hubsters who Unilocal but doesn’t Unilocal said it was not very good, so you may want to skip it and ask for extra rice. The mini meal, as they called it, was plenty for our lunch, hubsters dinner and a lunch for him the next day. Located on Lincoln Ave between Western and Beach in Anaheim. Providing guests with plenty of tables inside, great customer service and delicious food. Compared to it’s cousin, located about a mile away, Juan is way better. At least here they never run outta chicken, and its cheaper too. Throughout the week they have deals on chicken. Which is a win win, if your trying to be healthy you can pick up a whole chicken or two, and have zero guilt. You can use the leftover chicken in about a zillion different recipes. #708

Juan Pollo use to be located on the corner of Beach and Ball Blvd. This used to be a Busy Bee restaurant. The other location seemed dark and dingy, now place seems a bit brighter. Checked out their weekly special online, and my co-worker and I decided to get the«online meal Deal» this consisted of 2 whole chickens and tortillas for $ 15.00. We split the cost, it was not so harsh in the wallet. The chicken has a great flavor, much like when Pollo Loco started. I know other Unilocalers have mentioned that the chicken is dry-I like mine dry… that way I know it’s cooked! I overcome the dryness by drowning it with salsa, and lemon juice. I will come back since it’s close to work, and the Goodwill Store I like to frequent.

The food here is extremely delicious! The chicken is absolutely amazing and juicy. I have gone to a couple of places with super dry chicken but not here, it has a really great taste. It’s perfectly cooked. Seasoned well and tender.

At first I gave this 2 stars, but then decided I would not give them a 2nd opportunity. Prior to going we read a review in @ Home Magazine, they raved about the founder and his restaurants. I’m pretty easy to please and generally clean my plate. I ordered the ¼ chicken lunch plate. I liked nothing about it. The chicken was dry, the beans had a strong lime taste, the rice was gummy and the pico sauce was pale and very runny. The fork was one of those ‘spork’ tools. The iced tea from the vending machine had an odd taste. I threw more than half my lunch in the trash. So did my husband. It is our opinion, El Pollo Loco has much better chicken.

Great tasting pollo for the right price. Tuesday’s and Wednesday 2 pollos for under $ 16 bucks best deal in town. The chicken is perfectly cooked. It’s well season, tender, and juicy. The potato salad is delicious. The salsa is decent and they give you plenty of tortillas for your meal. Add a squirt a lime on the chicken some salsa and you have the perfect chicken taco.

The meat on the chicken is a bit salty and dry but this place actually isn’t half bad. I love how they never forget to throw in tortillas and salsa in the bag. Might be back again, but with cash.

As a huge fan of chicken, I am always looking for alternative options to my beloved El Pollo Loco. I know El Pollo Loco is fast food but the flame kissed chicken that they serve is always cooked great and is hard to match. I have been longing to try this place for several years but the location that I was initially aware of closed up shop awhile back. Soon thereafter we saw another local business go under and a banner in its place saying Juan Pollo coming soon. All hope was not lost. After being open for several months we finally made it over here to give the place a try. I scanned their menu and saw that they offered many of the same varieties of options I love and opted for the traditional 2 piece meal(all white meat) with flour tortillas and rice and beans as the side(meals typically come with rice and potato salad but I substituted the salad for the beans). To my surprise the 2 pieces was more like 4 as the wings were also attached which is something you don’t get everywhere else. The beans were good and the rice although a bit different than what I normally like was good as well. I love the fact that they give you three tortillas as this was the perfect amount for the chicken provided(El Pollo downgraded a few years back to only 2 and thus I have to order extra). The pricing for the meal was also a bit less overall and they also offer several great deals on both hard shell and soft tacos that I will be sure to try sometime soon. The restaurant itself doesn’t look like much from the outside or inside but I assure you the food is legit and the portions are good. The service was good for a fast food type joint(fast and efficient) and the prices were cheaper for a larger portion of food. I have been by the place numerous times since its opening and the one major issue I see is they rarely look busy so I really hope they do enough business to stay here as this was an issue with the previous tenants. Although the chicken was a tad more on the dry side, this place has quickly established itself with me as a perfect compliment to satiate my chicken cravings. Although El Pollo Loco is still my favorite, this place is a close second and a definite step above El Pollo Norteno(whose chicken was far too dry). I will definitely be back soon.

I’ve been coming to this restuarant for several years, even before they changed locations. I fond of the chicken here because it has its own taste. the salsa they make here is amazing. Decent customer service. If you’re in the area, stop by and try. Just might find you like it better than el polio.

They don’t accept Credit Cards here. Bring Cash, or prepare to pay a fee with Debit Card. The Chicken was very dry; by far the dryest Chicken Thigh I’ve ever had! At $ 10 per Whole Chicken, it’s quite a ripoff. Stick with El Pollo Loco, or the Whole Roasted Chicken at Grocery stores you can get for $ 5; much better value and taste! :)

Dark meat meal is 3.99, white is 4.99. We got white which was a disappointingly small breast with shriveled wing attached. There was probably a total of a quarter cup meat, after taking it off the bone to put in your tortillas.(you get 3, your choice of corn or flour). For that price, you also get a small ramiken of white rice(tiny bits of chicken and cilantro in it), and a small ramiken of beans(decent flavor). Oh, and a ramiken of salsa… mild is good, spicy is HOT. I don’t understand how people are saying they got a decent sized portion of chicken. It was like it had been cut from a cornish game hen! (And now I know why, when I asked if I could get a mix— one piece white, one dark, I was told NOPE! They don’t cut the pieces apart!) The skin was tasty though! They do have that going for them! Too bad you can’t just get a plate of skin with your sides! We live right around the corner, but I will probably not be back. Better to spend my money at the colonel’s, crazy chicken, popeye’s, or even costco! (We were there to taste the chicken, but the place didn’t seem very clean :/Like, you just know you don’t want to SEE the kitchen)

Chicken is definitely larger than El Pollo. However, minus one star for the juiciness of the meat. You can get a great deal at this place. 2 whole chicken for under $ 15?! You can feed a family of 4 for 2 meals. Also, the ¼ chicken with tortilla, rice, and beans is only $ 3.99! Wow! I am impressed. Enough food to keep you full and satisfied. I will def. come back here because they do cook up a good«dirty» rice and for the yummy chicken skin!(common’ you know that is the best part).

Juan Pollo is a huge lifesaver in our house. We usually order once a week usually on Tues/Wed(buy 1 pollo, get 1 free deal) with rice and beans on the side. This feeds my hungry family of 4 for about 2 days. The chicken here is beyond flavorful, its super juicy and the seasoning is perfect. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it… The rice is different each week, its made with leftover chicken bits and green onions and mixed with the real slow cooked pinto beans is heaven. The staff is always super nice. Its a great deal for a busy weekday meal and the quality of chicken, sides and salsa is right on. Don’t ever change JP!

Same owners as the one that closed that was located on Beach. They just moved their location here. It’s bigger & nicer than the other location. I’m so excited to see they moved here, ’cause it’s much closer to me! Their chicken & sides hit the spot, post intense workout! I recommend the quarter chicken meal(I prefer all white meat), with the sides that include rice, beans, and potato salad. You also get a side of flour or corn tortillas & choice of hot or mild salsa. The hot one can be super hot, depending on the batch of chilis they used that day, but either way I love the spicy one. I usually don’t like the skin on the chicken anywhere else, but at Juan Pollo that’s their secret! The flavor is all in the skin! Don’t throw it away! There’s no drive-thru at this location. There’s plenty of street & lot parking. It’s located on the corner of Lincoln & Topanga, previously this was the Busy Bee location.
