Rude employees and everything is EXPENSIVE!
I needed help finding an item and two female employees were too busy catching up on their daily gossip; that they completely failed to notice me standing beside them. I did not need nor want to know about their drama in the workplace.

Wow! What a place! When you shop here people notice…

I have recently learned that some of their non-​produce items are less expensive than Sprouts. This alone will drive me in. Also– this seems to be the only Mothers that carries jackfruit in a can, my newest addiction, thank you!

After shopping mainly at Sprouts or Trader Joes, I decided to stop by Mother’s Market & Kitchen as it was on my way. First thing I can tell you, do not expect that clean, well laid out look. My first thought was «Can they cram any more items ino these ailes?» Seriuosly, it was almost unshoppable. It feels cramped and cluttered.
Next I saw the deli counter. While I’m sure it was clean, it was just well aged. Again, food on display seemed crammed into place.
We just came in for some fruit and my first impression is they were way more expensive than their rivals. After closer comparison, they weren’t that far off. Overall however, they were more expensive.
The employees were nice enough. I just think the place just needs a remodel.

Not conventional, but a cool vibe.
When you think of Mothers Market and Kitchen, it’s different. Not a chain grocery store or restaurant.
Products we all want: Mothers has all the good stuff. Available are organic groceries, expertly prepared sandwiches, vitamins, fresh squeezed juices, seasonal beverages and baking essentials, like spices.
It’s similar to shopping at the co-​op but with more regular hours
Open: 8AM to 10PM an hour longer in the evening than TJ’s if you must run out for an evening treat.
Recommendation: Yes, go.

I don’t really like writing bad reviews because it hurts my local stores… but…I had a chili relleno burrito made for me after 5, I took it home and the rice was raw, not undercooked, just raw. I am pretty easy go lucky but if I don’t say anything, how would they improve their quality of food ?
I decided to get dressed again, I was going to be in for the night.
It was not the money 9.00 for a vegan burrito, it’s the principal. How can rice not be tasted before selling them to consumers ?
Hopefully, this gets taken care of… I will test them again in the near future. Quality Control is essential. When advertising for quality food, vegan food is not cheap, you got to serve the best.
I was refunded but went home hungry and have to eat frozen food…:(

This is by far my least favorite location. The kitchen doesn’t have as many options and the people that work in it aren’t friendly or helpful. I’ll stick to Brea or Santa Ana from now on

Been shopping at Mother’s Market for 2 years now. The quality of products have always impressed me and the customer service. Most of the staff are well informed about what they carry and can pretty much direct you wherever you want to go.
Upon entry, you see a juice bar that has a wide selection of juice, smoothies, and boost shots. I love ordered the goddess of the greens or the green detox. This past Friday I had the opportunity to try the date smoothie because of a sugar craving and was not disappointed.
To the left of the store there is a supplement aisle and a staff member well versed in Everything you need to know about vitamins. Towards the back of the store are the all natural make up and toiletries items. I loved going the natural route for my skin. Also once again another friendly staff member available to answer your questions. Not the biggest Mother’s Market but overall always fun to shop.

Mothers market is a wonderful place! I love all the fresh groceries and unique healthy options for snacks and food.
I often come here with my girlfriends either before or after a hike to hit the juice bar. We LOVE the green goddess and liver cleanser juices, you just feel so good after!
As far as the prices, they are pretty high. I only really come here once in a while for a few select items mainly because of that. Last time I was here (a few days ago) I saw that they now serve breakfast at the hot bar which looked pretty tasty! Maybe I will try it next time.

I will never come back here. There’s nothing this place carries you probably won’t find at sprouts. I’m just shocked at the nerve of them to call this place Mothers Market and charge so much.

I love Mother’s Market! This location always has a great selection in their products and always fresh produce! There’s also some cool samples as well. The employees are also very kind and helpful.

Call me Captain Ahab because I’ve been on the hunt for the Moby Dick of acai bowls.
With a plethora of choices in the area, I’ve sampled many bowls and unfortunately for me, I think I’ve found theee worst of the bunch. For $ 8.95, you’ll feel like you got a bargain when you see how big the container is of acai-​ish product they hand you. The juice bar inside Mother’s Market gives plenty of granola but the only other fruit was banana. No strawberries. No blueberries. No nothing else other than milk-​ed down acai (super watered down).
I do appreciate the fact that they ask if you prefer apple juice or milk. However that’s where my appreciation ends for this bowl.
Oh well, my search continues …
I found the Nemo of acai bowls. I am definitely throwing this catch back in the ocean.
PS … if you haven’t figured it out by now, this review is strictly in regards to the juice bar, not the market.

Lots of hard-​to-​find natural and organic products. Nice salad bar… the ingredients were not marked as organic; however the lady at the deli assured me that they were indeed organic (please update the signs). They also had a really nice balsamic vinaigrette on the salad bar. Oh, and I loved the grind-​your-​own almond butter.
Minus one star for the $ 3 peach that looked amazing, but after allowing it to ripen for a couple of days… I found out it was rotten in the middle when I cut into it. Unfortunately I was already out of the area so could not exchange it.

Mothers market is my go to grocery store for gluten-​free and non-​GMO food
They have delicious Siggi’s Skyr Icelandic yogurt that is thicker than American yogurt and has three times the amount of protein which is amazing for a post workout snack
I also am prone to nicks when shaving so I love their moisturizing pink grapefruit and pomegranate Giovanni shave cream for all skin types for men and women. This shaving cream is so amazing that it should win an award!
I also really like their Tom’s of Maine anti-​plaque and whitening toothpaste as well as the Tom’s mouthwash which has no artificial coloring added to it which is refreshing
I also buy most of my vitamins and supplements here because they have such a wide selection of natural non-​pharmaceutical healthcare
Thank you mothers market for offering such healthy alternatives to the average grocery store!

This store has an ample selection of top tier organic produce at reasonable prices.
The staff is extremely polite and helpful, always greeted with smiles.

Love mothers market. Everyone is so kind and the prices are perfect for the amazing organic food they sell. I love it!
The kitchen/​juice bar is interesting. Wish they knew how to make the coffee drinks they have listed. Disappointed in my café au lait. They just threw a jug of soy milk at me like I was suppose to steam the milk myself. I guess I should just stick to the juices there.

Ok, so I like this location but I don’t rave about it. It’s a lot smaller than the other locations and the parking situation is a disaster. Really, I go here as a necessity because it’s close to work.
Specifically, I used to go to the Juice Bar on a daily basis. I say «used to» because I was so fed up with the employees that I bought a juicer and just make my own. The juices are absolutely delicious, but I never understood the system for how they’re made. Example, I’m in line and there is 1 person in front of me and 3 people behind. How does everyone get their juice before me when I’m the 2^nd person in line? Additionally, the Juice Bar staff is not very friendly, with the exception of about 2 people. There’s a guy that’s medium height with a beard and mustache. He was really cool and I think he must have been a manager or something because whenever he was around the employees seemed to be on their game. Any other time, no dice.
The hot foods bar is pretty enticing but everything is behind glass so you can’t just go up and grab what you need. They didn’t use to label things so it was always like, «What’s that? What’s in it?» which was annoying.
I love Mother’s and I’m willing to pay a little more for things that are good for me. But not when I have to deal with people that are all but telling you they have better things to do than make a juice.

Great alternative to Whole Foods and other giant chain supermarkets! Small store in the plaza with LA Fitness, but they utilize almost every inch of the place! Tons of great goods to look at and I guarantee you’ll come out with more than you originally wanted! I went in without a grocery bag, thinking I was just going to grab a small lunch and drink… came out with my arms full of goods! Prices are VERY affordable, compared to the other organic food stores (Envirokids cereal $ 2.99? That’s the cheapest I’ve seen them!) Great quality, great employees!
I bought some goods at the food/​deli section, and the lady was nice enough to get me fresher salads from the back :) I had a wonderful kale salad, littered with a good amount of healthy avocado, along with some «Just yams,» which are exactly that – no unnecessary sugars or butters. I wish I had this near my area, but it’s definitely a treat when I get to stop by!

Thanks for always being fully stocked of healthy and delicious treats. Your refrigerator never is empty. I am glad I can part with my meager allowance in exchange for raiding your wholesome shelves. Yes, it is true that I have moved out from home, but places like yours makes my new home just like the old one. It’s nice to have a place just like Mother’s!
Great selection of the healthy items and those the chain markets refuse to carry. Friendly service and helpful hints by Mother’s employees are what make this store so unique.
Now, Old Mother Hubbard’s cupboard might be bare but Mother’s Market is teaming with delights. From organic treats, nuts and very fresh produce, Mother’s is a great place to have in town!

I was one of the first capitalist to score on this «healthy living /​healthy eating /​hippie» craze! Dam it I missed the boat on this whole healthy living deal. I could have been rich!
*Mothers has a pretty nice selection of «organic» veggies. I’m still a noob to this whole organic craze. More $$ yes, taste better, marginal, better for you? I’m starting to buy into it.
Set your way-​back machine to the summer of 1983 and you’ll find me and my BFF (RIP) Jimmy at a Scorps /​Quiet Riot concert at the Colo. State Fair in Pueblo Colo. rocking out and partying hard. We both had the exact same thought in mind after hearing that the Scorp’s were going to be playing the US Festival in California on Memorial day weekend. How freakin cool would it be to go see the Woodstock of OUR generation with 700 000 others? But alas we had no cash for the journey!
*Mothers market also has some tasty additives for your salad bowl. Shrooms, N stuff.
Enter hippie cash making epiphany #1 Recycle dude! … It hit us both at the same time as we both kicked a couple of beer bottles on the ground. I wonder how much money we could make if we collected all the cans and bottles at the fairgrounds? We hijacked Jimmy’s dads old pickup and within a hour had our first truckload of boozy containers and by the time the sun came up and the real clean up crew showed we had just about cleaned out the joint. Sever hundred bucks richer we decided it would be coolest to hitchhike and save our hard earned dough for party supplies once we got there.
*Mothers Market is a pretty cool little market where urban new age hippies shop to get lots of Hemp products. Add Hemp to the label and they will come to buy like a field of dreams.
We arrived 3 days later on New wave day and we had to spent almost all our cash on tickets for day 2 heavy metal day & 3 Rock Day. Bad planning! WTF we had to improvise. We saw thousands of thirsty and hungry fans (stoned and drunk) suckers .
*Mothers Market has a mega section of vitamins, additives, juices & stuff for clearing your head or cleansing your system and getting your balance back.
Enter hippie cash making epiphany #2.Give a man a fish… well actually a PBJ Sammy and you will live long and prosper. We sold PBJ sammies in the parking lot for a couple bucks ea by the dozens and eventually worked up to sodas ad beers Filling a cab with our own store. Hippie capitalist momentum worked in our favor till we had amassed a big butt load of cashish money, party favors of many varieties, and even tickets for day 4 country day in trade to enjoy the festival like the capitalist hippie abusing money grubbing whores we were.
*Mothers is pretty cool. They even have two DIY peanut butter making machines.
The US Festival was truly an epic show.
Day 1 We ended up sneaking into the first night to see the Clash and they kicked ass, such an awesome band!
Day 2 set the single-​day concert attendance record for the US with an estimated 375,000 people where we got to see. Quiet Riot, the then young and virile Motley Crue playing tunes off their upcoming 2^nd album, Triumph laid out a smoking set with great guitar melodies, Ozzy seemed wasted playing shortly after Randy Rhoads death (RIP), the mighty Judas Priest with Rob Halford’s angelic voice in all his gay biker glory, the Scorps and finally Van Halen in their prime with Eddie lighting up some incredible solos toping the 2^nd night off!
*Mothers got some fresh juice to keep ya going long and strong.
Day 3 was a day of bad ass classic rock bands. That pouty sexy Chrissie Hynde and the Pretenders, U2’s young Irish angst and the Edge’s ripping guitar, Stevie Nicks’s hot voice and ass, Joe Walsh’s rocky mountain way and stony jams keepin’ the So. Cal. party rocking, and finally (after waiting) the Great White Duke, David Bowie’s classic yet energetic voice belting out hit after hit for an incredible 3^rd night finale.
*Mothers market has the stuff to make the old feel young and the young stay that way but it comes at a cost. Mothers has some Ferrari prices for some Volkswagen stuff. But then again its the country roots of a farmers market that what makes it cool.
Day 4 was way cooler than I thought it’d be with Waylon, Hank Jr. and Willie. Glad I stayed.
I’ll be back to Mothers
