Phoenix Club

We booked the Phoenix Club for my mom’s 80^th birthday party. Banquet Manager Ruth Velasquez and her team bent over backwards to accommodate us and make the event perfect! The room was beautiful, the service was outstanding, and the food was delicious. Everyone had a great time, and my mom said it was the best party she ever had. Thanks, everyone, for making the event such a wonderful success!

Me and my friend were here for their Beerfest and it was most entertaining. Not a beer drinker but it was fun learning about the variety of beers. The highlight had to be the food trucks though, a grilled cheese sandwich with mac and cheese and rib meat on it??? For real? The lobster tot fries were amazing too.

FINALLY! We made it to Phoenix Club for Oktoberfest! For years my husband and I have wanted to check it out, but for some odd reason with timing and our schedule it never worked out. But this year we made sure we went
We went on a Saturday on a double date and it was PACKED. The entrance for coming in is $ 10 and all the food/​drink items are bought with tickets. Each ticket is $ 2 and each item varies in tickets. For example the beer is 4 tickets ($ 8)…they had a great selection of German beer (way better than that shitty HB Oktoberfest) including Spatan beer! But we found out they only have Spatan on Saturdays… lame. For food I got a bratwurst and my husband got the weisswurst. Our friends got a bratwurst and schnitzel… overall get the schnitzel. It tasted the best and I felt that it was worth the price. We also noticed the pork shank for 10 tickets, but it was so big and seemed so heavy we didn’t want it to interfere with our beer intake. Overall the experience was great… everyone who volunteered there were so sweet and the band was hilarious. The tables inside the tent were packed and there was no where to sit down, but just standing was good enough. A lot of the tables had their empty beer cups make pyramids and a lot of them were very impressive… then you think shit that’s $ 2000 in beer! lol. They also had a sausage eating contest, beer drinking contest, and baby bottle contest. The sausage eating contest was 5 girls lined up trying to eat sausage tied to a line on a stick over their head… uhmmm no. The beer drinking contest was for only men and it was to see who can drink the fastest. Then the baby bottle contest… girls sit on their men’s lap and have to drink the bottle out of the men’s hand.

Being from Germany I know good authentic German food. I’ve been coming here for decades. The food is as close as authentic but inconsistent.
I miss on the mark wurst selections in Bayern. But the Phoenix club is as close as I can get in the area

Why else to come, unless it’s for Oktoberfest, right? I went to the Oktoberfest at Anaheim Brewery, which was less energetic than this one. You walk in and it’s filled with noise, music and smells of bratwurst. Parking is a breeze.
We were meeting a big group so they secured a spot for us. I got the weisswurst, which was a smokier bratwurst and recommended by the staff, with a side of sauerkraut and a beer. The bf got the bratwurst and potato salad. You get a lot of food for your tickets (it’s a ticket operation system, where you can easily drop $ 40 on food alone). It comes out very fast though. The food is delicious and I finished my meal, sans sauerkraut. I also got to try the massive pretzel with sweet mustard (a new favorite) which was fantastic.
We ate in the main tent where the authentic band was playing polka, the chicken dance and some other festive songs. Then there were a couple of contests (beer chugging and sausage eating). We were stacking our empties on the table while in amazement at some other folks who made fortresses out of plastic tumblers. The end of our night, well was weird, as there was an overlong medley of songs that lasted about 20 minutes and had 27 costume changes, along with a balloon act that is too hard to describe. It was odd, entertaining, yet fitting.
There are other shops with homemade trinkets and clothes, authentic lederhosen for purchase and Oktoberfest Souveniers. To me they all were not worth the asking price.
Glad I tried it here, will gladly try Oktoberfest in Munich!

Oktoberfest. First time here had a blast.. Came here with the hubby and 2 dear friends, one being German was able to explain traditions, and foods to us. Making our experience so much fun… great food, great authentic German bakery and music. NICE crowd of people… fun to people watch… great beers and mixed drinks for those who like to have cocktails.. g
The band was a lot of fun and of course the chicken dance always gets the crowd up… Booths and vendors selling stuff. Face painting, train ride for the kids… Cash only at entrance. Meal and drinks are paid with tickets, so bring cash. We tried smoked brauts, very good. potato pancakes with applesauce, plum cake… lots of choices.. WAY BETTER than Torrance alpine village… Phoenix club Oktoberfest was top notch. …cant go wrong here, don’t waste your time in Torrance. .scary over drinking thugs over there.

OKTOBER FEST… so much fun… found this place on Unilocal,came in to their restaurant to have lunch a few weeks back and now we came to oktober fest, we have a great time

Had a great time at Oktoberfest. The beer line was not overly long and the food was decent. Several tables were building beer cup towers that were very impressive. Me and my friends all dressed up in authentic garb to be festive and people were requesting photo ops with us left and right haha! Wish they stayed open after midnight on the weekends, that there were more regular women’s restrooms (as I try to avoid Porta pottys at all cost) and that there was more German music. Going back next weekend as well!

Oktoberfest!
One of the best in the area. We usually go to the Phoenix Club every year for Oktoberfest. Their polka bands are the best and even if it is crowded, it doesn’t feel overcrowded. Go early if you want to skip the lines or are taking children. There are a few ride and game booths, shooting range, and several food booths (bratwurst, potato pancakes, funnel cake, etc.). They work off a ticket system ($ 2 per ticket), beer is usually 4 tickets, bratwursts are about 5 and so on. Can get a bit pricey if you forget they are $ 2 and not $ 1. ;) Luckily they have a sign where you buy tickets that lists the price of everything they offer. Restrooms are clean and well-​maintained. There are a few vendor booths, I just wish they were more German-​themed (most are crafts like lawn signs, hats, and jewelry).
You’ll see a diverse mix of young groups with beer or chicken hats and older Phoenicians with authentic lederhosen.

The Wife and I love this place! beer is the best, the brats are the best, service is great, atmosphere is GREAT, really enjoy their big parties they throw and their selection on tap is unreal!
this is the true German experience!

We enjoy Oktoberfest every year! They do a top notch job! Food, beer, music and more!

The food was good the service was terrible…
I was told that’s how it is in Germany so just accept it but unfortunately the restaurant is in the heart of Orange County so I think the lady needs to learn how to say hello and not be rude… I will never go back unless the management reaches out and makes it right.

yeah i can see how it’s not for everyone. but the friday i went to, there was live music, the seniors (most customers) are kind and nice people. me and my coworker gf sat at the bar n had a great time!

I have worked near this place for years… drive buy it almost daily and never thought to go here. Heard good things about it from co workers and decided to go for Fathers Day brunch. All I can say is WOW! I go to Alpine Village in Carson but this place blows it away. The spread is huge. From Goulash and Spetzel to Rouladen. Authentic and delicious. Great American selections as well.
Unfortunately, they only serve brunch on special occasions, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, etc… but they do have a restaurant open Tues thru Sun. Will definately be checking that out and can’t wait for Oktoberfest!

Exceptional food, superior selection of German beers and unparalleled facility for dinner, drinks or even a private event.
There is so much more than I can write about here. If you enjoy German food this is a facility you have to come and see for yourself.

The staff here is helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The banquet style food set-​up was fresh and delicious, and varied. If you are at an event, you can sneak over to the Bierstube and order a beer. They have my fave– Koestritzer Shwarzbier– and it was so COLD! Everything was absolutely wonderful! As for the Bierstube, I come here with friends (usually after a day at Disneyland) because it is cozy, the staff is super, and the beer is COLD!
Just know that The Phoenix Club is tucked away, so you should know where you are going. You may not find it if you are searching the main roads. That’s part of the charm, it’s like a hidden hideaway.

German brunch is fun & if your a carnivore you will really really appreciate this! It’s simple but delicious. Quick tip: enjoy each bite and eat a few pieces of pineapple and strawberries in between courses– the fruit helps digestion. I was bummed the bratwurst wasn’t available but I think four plates of steak, prime rib, chicken, potato salad, roasted potatoes & a refreshing red pepper salad compensated for that.
The vanilla sauce and apple streudel– yummy.
Also it’s unlimited fresh orange juice, champagne good coffee & excellent waitstaff.

Out of the German clubs in the area, the Phoenix Club is my favorite.
The club is situated off Ball Rd and Phoenix Rd in Anaheim, behind a bunch of car dealerships. The facilities is newer then most clubs around, and well taken care of.
The main event is Oktoberfest, but they hold many events through the year. I’ve been to many events this year starting with New Years party.
I love that they stay true to the German culture, and welcome all who come to the Phoenix. I can now do the polka, and have picked up a few German words. I like the smoked Bratwurst with the German potato salad for $ 8.00 plate. Drinks are very liberal at good prices.

Like many others we saw the huge balloon in the sky advertising Oktoberfest. Being that I love German beer we decided to go check things out. I didn’t realize how big of a deal this is until we got there and had to park at Hardin Honda and walk over because the regular and overflow parking were full. Not that big of a deal.
We got to the gates and realized we had to pay to get in. Ok, whatever. Then we walk around and notice that we have to buy tickets to buy beer. But why can’t I just give you money and you give me beer? What’s with all this ticket business? Or, just let me pay a flat rate and I can get 4 ounce pours or something. We buy some tickets and realize we paid $ 8 for a beer. That’s not gonna work considering I can go to Total Wine and get the same beer for at least $ 2 less. We get our beers and walk around a bit. That took a whole 5 minutes so my bf decided to get a bratwurst. He did say the bratwurst was delicious so that was a plus.
The dancing was cool and seeing so many people dressed in lederhosen and enjoying the German culture was cool. Other than that, I don’t feel like I need to go back and spend all that money to walk around for 10 minutes.

What a GREAT venue for Oktoberfest! My friends and I usually head over to the Alpine Village venue for Oktoberfest, but ever since their crowd «evolved» and they hiked the entrance fee to $ 20, we’ve been in search of a better spot. FOUND IT!
I came here with several friends and family members to celebrate my hubby’s Thirsty Thirty! We had to get here early when they first opened that Saturday (4pm), in order to grab some tables. You cannot reserve any tables ahead of time, but you can come early to «claim» your table (s) with tablecloth. We were able to grab three tables, and had lots of room to accommodate everyone in our party.
This Oktoberfest event is legit compared to what we’re used to. The food and beverage booths operate via tickets only (you purchase drink/​food tickets at one of the booths inside). All the food? Totally authentic and fresh! Oh, ya — it’s CASH ONLY inside. Remember to bring your cash! There’s an ATM available inside, but The entertainment was real — not a bunch of guys and gals simply dressed up in Halloween lederhosens. Everyone was classy, and enjoyed some good fun.
