The service here for the fantasmic dinner package is really slow. After we were sat, My party waited a good 15 mins before we even had someone greet us. Then we waiting another 10 for anyone to take our drink order. As the night went on the service was just a total miss. We were swimming in our own dirty dishes. No one would come by to refill our drinks. The food took so long to come out. Geez. The actual food wasn’t bad. My steak was cooked very well. Also, I really enjoyed my dessert(apple pie). I wouldn’t really recommend this place to anyone considering the service was so slow.

I came here with my boyfriend on a Saturday around 10:00am and the line was out the door. We waited for a good 15 – 20 minutes to get our food. There are several selections on the menu for breakfast. We ordered Mark Twain($ 8.49) — Scrambled eggs, country-style potatoes, and choice of bacon or sausage and a biscuit. This dish was okay. Everything was pretty mediocre. The sausage(you get two), was pretty good. The biscuit was REALLLLLLY dry and hard. I wouldn’t recommend getting this breakfast dish. I would buch rather get the steamboat Steamboat($ 8.49) — Three fluffy pancakes with scrambled eggs and choice of bacon or sausage. The pancakes are super fluffy and delish. Eggs were also mediocre and the sausage was good(get two). If you go to the condiment area, there is a fresh strawberry jam that taste awesome when you put it on your pancakes! I would definitely get this breakfast dish if I were to come here again. This place is self seating so you can get your condiments and find a place to sit. Not bad since a lot of the other places are reservations only for breakfast! NOTE: –Annual Pass discount!

Great location in Disneyland to eat! Open all day! Good, reasonably priced food. The food always smells yummy. Great place to sit and people watch too!

My friends and I were starving once we entered Disneyland, so this place was perfect for a quick cheap meal. It’s cafeteria style with a select menu, so you get your food right away. The prices are really decent, all less than $ 10. I’m drawing a blank on the name(something steamboat lol), but I had 2 sausages, scrambled eggs, and 3 pancakes. It really hit the spot, and filled us up just enough to give us energy for the day. All the food was pretty good, the eggs and pancakes both nice and fluffy.

River Belle Terrace has definitely improved itself over the years! It’s been a long 5 years since I’ve walked over the drawbridge of sleeping beauty’s castle. The last time I was here, World of Color had not come out yet, and fantasmic was first come first serve with two showings every evening. My friends and I would hang out in River Belle Terrace until the first show finished then would rush past the first audience to grab primo spots along the railing in the center. It was the only way to sit during Fantasmic. At the time River Belle Terrace’s menu was mediocre at best. I would order as little as possible to keep them from kicking us out. Now we pay $ 42 to sit and dine at River Belle Terrace to grab those same spots I used to run to. I completely understand Disney’s decision to control the viewing experience. Disney knows that Fantasmic is a cash cow and people will come to watch it, no matter the cost. I’m glad we chose River Belle Terrace as our dinner spot. I couldn’t justify spending so much more at Blue Bayou for a foam pad to sit on the ground. The menu is designed to churn out as many guests as possible. I wish I could choose how I wanted my steak cooked, but that would slow down the process. The food was prepared at a much higher quality than their quick service restaurants despite the fact that the business model remained the same. They had 3 categories of employees: Those taking your order, those delivering your order, and those clearing your order. I loved loved loved the mashed potatoes, but I wished the apple pie was served warm. If I had to choose between river belle and blue bayou for fantasmic viewing again, I would choose river belle again.

We are here on 2 separate occasions on our recent trip to Disneyland. Breakfast: A wonderful experience! Friendly and efficient service to get you fueled and ready for a day of adventure. This is the spot to get the infamous Mickey Mouse Pancake, and it did not disappoint. Mickey’s ears are dusted in powdered sugar, his eyes are made from blueberries, his mouth is a tangy sweet pineapple, and his nose is a maraschino cherry! The dollop of salted butter and the maple syrup combined with the powdered sugar created a caramelized coating that was truly delightful. Dinner, unfortunately, was a bit of a different story. We booked a Fantasmic Dining Package, and luckily the seating made this experience worth it. It was a very cold night when we dined, and outdoor seating was all that was available. While there were space heaters, we were a bit further from them and froze while eating. The menu was limited and just fair, but the service was very helpful and friendly. Next time I think we will do Fantasmic seating through Blue Bayou, but I highly recommend River Belle for breakfast.

I really do enjoy River Belle. My favorite breakfast quick service location! They’re delicious! Great place to find the Mickey shaped pancakes. I love coming for their French toast cinnamon roll, on the sweet side but delicious and fulfilling. The bad news is they will no longer offer breakfast as of February 10th. As of February 10th they will convert to a full Table Service location, not just only for dinner. They will offer ribs, chicken, and seafood for both lunch and dinner. Reservations and more information will be later on released by the Disney Blogs. As far as the Fantasmic Packages go, they will continue on until January 10th since there will be no Fantasmic show until 2017. If you do book, or are looking to potentially book, for the River Belle show packages keep in mind you don’t actually see the show from the restaurant. They provide you with tickets to view the show from a preferred section within the stage arena. You’d see the show from the front row either the left or right hand side of the show and it would be most likely standing. At $ 42 per adult and $ 22 per child you’d be paying for a three course meal at the restaurant. I personally like their strip loin option with a shrimp skewer, but they also have chicken and pasta primavera. Good location, small tables though.

not my favorite disney spot, but not bad… the menu has changed over the past few years… i do remember it being somewhat better… they used to have a really cool condiment stand that enhanced the food… that’s gone now. boo… i recently ordered a salad here. it was fine… i’ve been trying salad’s throughout the park… my favorite still is at the Plaza inn(which also has amazing fried chicken) my son had a BBQ sandwich, he loved it… daughter had mac n cheese kids meal(same as always!) it’s some good mac =) it’s a nice but cramped space to take a break(and it has AC!)

My husband and I went for the Fantasmic package. Service was great and the food was good. Bread Basket was served immediately; very good. Appetizers: House Salad; good portion and tasty. Husband had the Corn Chowder; very good. Main Course: Sirloin and Shrimp kabob with mashed potatoes and broccolini; delicious. Mashed potatoes were a little gummy but packed with flavor. Husband had the Roast Chicken and same sides; very good and flavorful. Dessert: I chose the apple pie and my husband got the chocolate mousse cake with raspberry sauce. Both were excellent. Overall, the meal was good and our waiter was great. We’ll probably go back for the desserts but next time we’ll just get a fast pass for Fantasmic, as we sat right next to the fast pass section. I kinda felt cheated by that but still enjoyed the show.

This is our go-to breakfast spot for counter service in Disneyland when we’re wanting a quick breakfast. It’s order, get food, pay and eat type of style. It’s perfect when you’re on the go, having been there since 7am for extra magic morning and it’s now 9am, you’ve gotten 4 – 5 rides under your belt and you’ve worked up quite an appetite! I usually get the Mark Twain, which is scrambled eggs, potatoes, choice of sausage or bacon and biscuit. The Cinnamon French toast with cream cheese glaze and Mickey pancakes are also good. Good option if you want a quick meal that doesn’t need reservations or you’re on a tight schedule.

I haven’t eaten here in years but had breakfast here this morning. Yes, it’s cafeteria style and the line can be long but the breakfast is pretty amazing. I like the Mark Twain, which is eggs, bacon or sausage, potatoes and a biscuit. The potatoes are some of the best around. It was still as good as I remember. We just got new annual passes so I am looking forward to returning sometime soon!

I vaguely remember eating dinner here on one of my annual Disney trips with my family during the childhood years. Unfortunately, my long term memory is not as good so I have no clue what I ate. It probably wouldn’t have helped as their menu might have changed. On a recent trip, I stopped by for some food at 11:40 am. I missed the cut off time for breakfast, so I ordered the pulled pork sandwich(«The Messy Mississippi BBQ Pork» for $ 11.49) off the lunch menu, substituting the side of baked beans for another serving of potato salad. I also added the key lime pie dessert at $ 5.39. A satisfying and delicious meal for two! The pie serving is more than enough for two, let alone one person. The pulled pork was very tender and flavorful, going super well with the potato salad. Seating indoors with the AC fills up the quickest, but outside has great spots for people watching. Just try to catch the ones with umbrellas for shade. Also, they stop serving near dinner time as they cater exclusively for the Fantasmic dining packages. If you want some lunch offerings for dinner, make sure to come by to order before then. AP discounts are good here!

What a great place to have breakfast. River Belle Terrace is located in Disneyland near Tarzan’s Treehouse in Frontierland. Both doors open up on each side of the restaurant but the lines were super long when I went there around 10AM. The line started to form outside and inside it wraps around. You just need a little patience and the meal is worth it. Breakfast items include cinnamon bun french toast, Mickey Mouse pancakes, regular pancakes, biscuits and gravy, eggs, potatoes, fruit, bacon and sausage. Most of the main entrees come in a meal with eggs and a choice of meat. I ordered the Steamboat which is consists of 3 regular pancakes, eggs, and a choice of meat. Pancakes were fluffy and cooked perfectly well. You get to observe the chef make the breakfast items when you get further up in the line. Prices are actually reasonable compared to other restaurants in Disneyland. There are some tables inside but it definitely can’t hold everyone. I suggest that if you are with someone have one of you guys find a table while the other orders. For the most part the customer service was great. Just had one issue with a lady because all I wanted was silverware and while she was there refilling it, she thought I wanted something else and tried to point me in a different direction in a rude way. Nothing big.

I wanted to eat at Carnation Café but the wait was 45 mins! I was too hungry for that so my bf and I made our way to New Orleans since there was plenty of food there. We were definitely craving some breakfast and walked by River Belle Terrance. Glanced at the menu real quick and was sold on the Cinnamon French Toast. For a little under $ 9 you get 2 cinnamon buns, scrambled eggs and your choice of bacon or sausage. We asked the server for one on each. We sat outside and enjoyed our meal with a view of the water and the crowd going into Pirate’s. The meal is definitely filling if you eat it all to yourself but sharing was a perfect amount to not give you food coma.

Believe it or not the food at Disneyland is a lot better than it ever user to be. I had the vegetable chopped salad which was fresh. Not like those kind that seem pre-made and are all salad out of the bag type. My dining friend had the chicken salad which she said was very good as well. So… I am quite impressed with this place in the Disneyland park. If you are looking for a place to sit down and have a decent linch or dinner this may be a great option.

When Walt Disney himself was alive, this was his favorite restaurant in the park. With that kind of endorsement, how can you not pay it a visit? While it’s certainly likely to have evolved in the decades since his passing, it straddles the borders of two lands & offers a decent enough variety that even the more discerning tongues should be able to enjoy something. Rather perfect for a quiet meal in the shade before you continue your day.

Came here without a reservation around 7:30pm and got seats without 5 minutes. They only have a fixed menu with two options for appetizers, three entrée options, and two dessert options. Each fixed meal per person is $ 41.99. Comes with complimentary bread and butter and waiter service is good(since it is in Disneyland). We had: Appetizers: — corn chowder: very thick and lots of corn(YES!). Comes with bacon bits and was very flavorful. — salad: was a fan of the salad with the balsamic vinaigrette and Parmesan flakes. Entrees: — New York strip with shrimp skewer: the shrimp wasn’t that great, didn’t taste like fresh shrimp. The steak wasn’t bad but we didn’t get to choose a medium rare option :(they only had slow roasted medium to well-done. The veggies and mash was decent too. — pasta: there weren’t any meats in it :(so for the price I felt like it wasn’t worth it. It was just pasta, veggies and small string beans. The string beans were sweet and the veggies were good, but I felt like I could have made this at home for cheaper, so I know not to order this one again. It didn’t taste bad but just not worth it for the set price. Desserts: — apple pie strudel: it wasn’t as warm as I hoped, and I think ice cream would be better than whipped cream. But this was the better choice compared to the chocolate mousse cake. — raspberry chocolate mousse cake: this felt like something grabbed from the fridge and served. Didn’t taste or look freshly made. Not a fan of this dish. Only big thing that made me sad eating here is that you get 10% off with the Disney Debit for lunch/breakfast only! Which the card didn’t state, lame! BUT the plus about eating here is getting VIP fast passes to sitting in the front and center for the fireworks and fantasmic showing. Will only return for that reason: p

I usually dine at wine country in Disneylands California adventure, but my nephew wanted to see fantasmic so I checked out the options with the dining & decided to try this place out. We had the dinner $ 42 per adult $ 22 per child but if you have an annual pass you get a discount 10 to 15% depending on your pass type. The good: waaay faster & better service than wine country. Also great kids meal selections. My nephew got macaroni and cheese but its not kraft thank God. My son with a much better palette got the steak. The childs portion was same size as mine lol & he ate it all but one bite. The kids meals come w veggies w ranch & cupcakes for dessert(see pics). My nephew didn’t want veggies so they substituted for fruit w no extra charge. I prefer the bread here to wine country but thats mainly because I hate sourdough. Soup corn chowder was good but not spectacular next time I’ll probably get salad. Dessert is chocolate mousse & extremely chocolatey, since im a chocolate lover it was heavenly it comes w a raspberry sauce. The servers brought bread & starters(kids veggies or fruit and my soup) within 10 minutes of our seating. Our meals came 10 minutes later now that’s exceptional because wine country takes an hour & soooo hard to get a beverage refill & I’ve been there over 20 times. Steak came with mashed potatoes & broccolini. The bad: steak was good but overly cooked I asked for medium it was well done so next time I might ask for rare. This will be my new spot to eat at Disneyland because who wants to waste all day eating at Disneyland I mean we want to ride rides, duh. Fast service decent food great waiters. Bonus you get a great reserved spot for fantasmic show right in front we sat at the gate literally front row.

We came here for the Fantasmic dinner package that comes with fast pass tickets to the fantasmic show. Food was good. I got corn chowder, hubby got a salad. All the adults got ny strip steaks with shrimp, mash potatoes, and brocollini. Steaks were nice and tender. Mash potatoes were also yummy. I got apple pie for dessert. It was ok. Hubby got chocolate mousse and he really liked it. Kids didn’t really like their meals. One got Mac & cheese and the other got the chicken plate. Neither kids are their cupcakes because they wanted cotton candy instead.(Parents might eat the cupcakes later…) Waitress was friendly at the end but service was just ok… We waited a long time for our table even though we had reservations. When we first sat down at the table, they had put the umbrella at out table down which made it so my daughter couldn’t people watch and see the view. So we asked them to put it back up and the guy did it but gave us a hard time about it.

There exists nastiness in this world that truly has no place in civilized society. Humanitarian groups and governments that care about the citizens that elected them strive to keep such horrendous culinary conditions away from soup kitchens and homeless shelters, fully aware that the rest of the world is watching with a mindful eye. I’m not sure how River Belle Terrace slipped under the radar, but someone needs to contact the Hague; a tribunal needs to be convened. Umm, looking at other reviews of this place, I see some have come to view it as a ‘Disneyland treasure.’ I can only assume they are the same people Disney hires to give good reviews to Nicolas Cage movies; because, like National Treasure before it, it really sucks. It looks like they might change the menu regularly, which definitely works to the Terrace’s detriment, as we found them on a very off day. I had the Messy Mississippi BBQ Pork sandwich, which was served on an onion roll with cole slaw on top with baked beans and potato salad on the side. The pork was very dry, considering it had a huge scoop of ‘messy’ sauce glopped on top. Apparently the only thing the sauce moistened was the onion bun, which was desiccated to the point of crumbling when you picked it up, turning it into bite sized chunks I had to finish with a fork. The beans had an alright flavor, but some were burned, sprinkling that taste of char throughout. And the potato salad was just bland. My fair lady had the River Belle’s Sirloin & Cheddar along with the bland potato salad and the cole slaw as well. It was supposed to be sautéed with onions and peppers, but she found only a single pepper atop and no other flavors mixed in but the dry taste of what I’m pretty sure was chuck steak that they didn’t take the time to slow cook. I thought she enjoyed the cole slaw, but she proclaimed it was terrible, only finishing first to get it and the potato salad out of the way. Neither of us fought any of this much, we were very hungry and two other places that we actually wanted to go to had apparently closed for dinner(damn you, Critter Country!). So, unless they change the menu to better fare, what is here now is horrific and should be avoided at all costs. Seriously, it was so bad and we became so depressed after eating it, we actually left Disneyland right after … two hours earlier than we had originally planned to. You read that right, River Belle Terrace was so bad, it ruined our trip to Disneyland. — — — - And for the Disneyland Reviews List: Taste — Or the Overall Flavor: * It’s god-awful. The only thing that had any real taste to it is the sauce they glop on everything. And that typically makes whatever you’re having too messy to hold or mildly unappetizing. Convenience — Of the Seating & Service Options: * * * *(and a half) I’ve never seen this place being extremely popular, so the line shouldn’t be too bad to run through. Even on busy days, you can get your food with relative ease. Mix in a very large double patio with plenty of seating to choose from, and River Belle Terrace is a good place to park your family and enjoy a meal. Value — Will you walk away satisfied?:(only half a star) Every place in Disneyland is relatively over priced; the trick is to find food that will make you not want a snack two hours later, despite what you pay. Typically, paying around $ 10 per person is what you should expect, but still have a filling meal. Food here generally runs upwards of $ 15 a person. Elsewhere in the park, that would actually mean enough food for two people, but the River Belle Terrace offers much smaller portions at far lesser quality. The sad combination of the two drop the value here all the way down to bare minimum levels. Kid Factor — Is there entertainment for the young ones?: * *(and a half) River Belle Terrace lies on the boundary between Frontierland and New Orleans Square. It doesn’t have any in-house entertainment and Disney characters generally stick towards the center of their designated lands. You might catch the occasional Barber Shop quartet or Pirate walking by, but that will be about it. What this place does have, however, is a great view of the Rivers of America. Aside from the spectacular scenery, the passing Mark Twain steamboat, and the Columbia, you can also watch Fantasmic if the show is playing. Not the best choices to keep your young ones entertained, but it’s not the worst either.
