I work close by and driving around on my lunch looking for something to eat, I decide to try this establishment. I ordered the shrimp burrito. 10.67(roughly, im not looking for the bill) for a burrito and jarrito seems a few dollars too much but I gotta say it was pretty good. One of the more enjoyable burritos I have had in a while. The shrimp was cooked to perfection and the rice and beans mixed in good. Had good flavor. Would come here again.

The green enchiladas are bomb! Came here for the first time and much to my surprise the prices are good and the food is good too. They offer ½ and ½ on many menu items… i.e. ½ green enchiladas and ½ red enchiladas for the same price on the entrée. Their rice was a little under salted. Their red enchilada sauce was a bit sweet. But the beans and green enchiladas were PERFECT. I’ll be back to try more items.

Friday night my friends and i are craving tacos! So naturally i Unilocal and find this place. The parking is small but that’s not the restaurants fault. So we go and order our food, i get 2 al pastor tacos and 2 chicken tacos and it comes with a drink(under $ 5) and the food was delicious! the al pastor meat was so good and flavorful, same with the chicken but the al pastor was my favorite! None of my friends complained about their food. One of them got a carne asada burrito with green sauce and let me take a couple bites and it was so good!!! We will definitely be coming back here

I use to come here all the time and it WAS great. Can’t say that anymore:-( Had the worst experience just now. Chorizo was burnt and so was the sole shell. They had no ketchup for the fries or ranch. Can’t say I’ll be coming back anytime soon. What a shame.

I was recommended to come here. I was not disappointed, but pleasantly pleased by the full flavors. I ordered a carne asada burrito and it was great, well marinated meat, and good quality for sure. It was small inside and a bit dirty, but busy. The food was worth it and the gracious woman that took my ordered gladly greeted me as a first time customer. I haven’t made it back yet because of the distance, but think of it often.

We came to this place on saturday and we couldn’t believe it. when my food came there was a cockroach on the side of my plate. It ran off across the table and everyone just got up and said WTF!!! I complained and this guy said the roach didn’t come from the food, but the table. Serious, like that makes a difference it’s in your restaurant. Please don’t eat here, I have reported this place to the health department

Most disappointing Mexican food I have ever had. Not only was the meat bad tasting but it was incredibly Salty. I waited in a 90 degree restaurant for this disaster.

So my sister was in town and was craving a good Mexican torta. As usual I go to Unilocal to see what Unilocalers in the area would recommend. Well Unilocalers are definitely wrong on this one. –The shopping center, DIRTY! –The parking lot, DIRTY! –The restroom, DIRTY! –The food, eh… nothing to go home and tell your mom about. –Restaurant HOT! EXTREMELYHOT! No air conditioning, no fan, no window, no nothing! I was melting. We had to make our dine-in order to-go and eat it in the car because we could not take the heat. We waited for our order to be completed outside because it was that HOT! Mind you, it was about 90 degrees outside, yet that felt cool. If you would enjoy eating in a dirty sauna then this is the place to go.

The red chilaquiles are the best since the hot sauce is right on. Besides that the food there taste like authentic Mexican food coming freshly out of grandmas kitchen. Thumbs up

I had a Carne Asada torta which was ok but I have tasted better. The meat tastes bland but it wasn’t too bad. Long wait time and cash only

I went by and ordered a steak plate that cost $ 8.00 dollars and what I received was a rip off. About a spoon full of rice, beans and steak. They lost me forever. I can believe people even buy things there. The place is dirty too.

Reminds me of mom’s cooking! Very homely feel to their food. Their tortas are amazing especially the milanesa which is breaded steak and fried. I have yet to try their tacos but everything looks so delicious!

I am originally from Chicago and I think we have more authentic Mexican places than SoCal! But then again, most of the places I have tried have only been in the Anaheim area =P. Super Torta by far has been my favorite. It’s way more authentic than the other nearby places. My favorite is their Torta Cubana. SUPERMEATY. It is a CASHONLY place so be prepared.

Chile relleno… Just okay, the batter was very strange and the cheese wasn’t really melted… I might try them again, but probably not.

If you are dining at Super Torta, you will hear this each time a new customer walks in: Cashier: Hola, como esta? Customer: Bien, gracias. Spanish is the first language here and English is understood but rarely spoken. But it’s easy to order, so no worries. I’ve been going to Super Torta for about 3 months now and it’s time to review it. If you want no-frills, friendly service, fast, good, inexpensive authentic Mexican Food, this is a good place to go. Super Torta is small, can sit about 20 people. It’s located in a typical strip mall in Anaheim, about three long blocks south of the 91 Freeway. It’s very inexpensive, with the most expensive order being only $ 6.75. Though named Super Torta, I find their tortas only good, not great. Most good torta places in East L.A. are better. However, much of their other food shines. TORTILLAS = A+!!! Super Torta has among the best tortillas(both corn and flour) I have had ever had and I’ve had a lot of good tortillas both home made and from fine restaurants in Texas, Arizona, San Diego, to much of Mexico. The reason the tortillas are so good: they are home made and made only after you order. So, they are 100% fresh. No wonder they are so good! The tortillas are piping hot, soft but with excellent texture and taste. Guerrero is the benchmark tortilla you can buy at a supermarket. It’s very good but cannot compare to Super Torta. Rice and beans: B Your typical standard good mexican beans and rice. Nothing fancy, just good. Huevos Rancheros: A+ I’m a serious huevos rancheros fan and Super Torta has among the best. It’s the just way I like it. Two fried eggs, over easy on two fried tortilla shells with diced jalapenos, tomatoes, onions, it’s a great combination. Couple that with rice and beans and their awesome tortillas and you have one great meal. Huevos con Chorizo: B– I love chorizo and egg and it’s good here, just not great. Quite a few people have told me some for the best chorizo and egg is from Venzuela. Hmmm, I might have to plan a trip. Huveos Rebuletos a la Mexicana: B+ Scrambled eggs with tomato, onion and jalapenos. Very good but something missing to make give it an «A». Huevos con Jamon: B Good but a bit salty for me. Chilaquiles in Red or Green sauce: B– Good. Homemade Hot Sauce: A– Very tasty, medium hot, complements just about everything well, especially the tacos. Soft Taco: B to B+ Your typical mexican taco. Two corn tortillas, choice of meat, cilantro and onions with their home made hot sauce. Tostada: B– Nothing special Macho-Nacho: C+ A huge portion, Mexican style not your typical American style nacho. Not really a fan. Tortas: B– to B. As stated before, good but not great. But worth trying at least once. Flautas: B Good. Burrito: B to B+ Good. Steak Encebollado: B+ Grilled steak with onions. The taste is spot on, yummy! So why only a «B+»? The meat is cooked well-done and it’s not the highest quality meat. It’s not bad, just not great. If better quality meat was used, it would be an easy«A». So again, the taste is right just needs better meat. But how much more can you expect for $ 6.75? Steak Ranchero: B+ Same, flavor right on but could use better meat but again, $ 6.75, is a bargain. And there you have it. Super Torta who’s tortas aren’t super but their tortillas are. Maybe they should change their name to Super Tortilla. :-P
