History

Established in 1994.

Started in my Dads converted garage in 1994, as an 8 track recording studio for Myself, Friends & local bands. Soon I had expanded into a 24 track recording studio operating inside my friends Rehearsal studio (Called — Sound Arena). After saying to my friend (The owner) that I wanted to someday have my own place for recording he decided to kick me & my recording studio out of his place on the very next day. Thanks to his decision to kick me out, I was forced to make my Dreams come tru. Tru-​One Records & Rehearsal Studios was Born.

I studied Recording Engineering at Dominguez Hills University.

I worked for Knott’s Berry Farm & Disneyland as a Sound tech for while.

We just had a band practice here! Our room is huge complete with Amps and a slightly used drum set ready for use. Although the entrance lobby looks disorganize, the room we went was quite tidy. They don’t serve food or snacks, but the water bottles are cheap and you could buy them for a dollar. All in All we were all happy to have picked this place for our rehearsal! Good Price and Nice service!

The place is legit price wise and kinda clean but the gear is very weak. May want to bring your own. People are cool and laid back. Would have given better marks if the gear was on point.

Weekend prices (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) are great, pay for 2 hours get the 3rd free.
The place is pretty clean most of the time but the gear is lacking. They may have all tube half stacks but they sound like crap compared to my Fender Performer 1000 (100 watt Solid State amp). Half the time the bass rig sounds like someone cranked it and blew the channel and half of the PA channels are broken. Not to mention the drums are sub par compared to other studios in the area and they don’t keep up on maintainence (drum heads, broken ¼″ jacks and amp tube replacements). The mics in the room are beat to hell, like someone just decided to throw them at a wall a few dozen times. It’s a decent place if you just wanna jam with some amateur musicians but the quality isn’t really above your average garage band gear.

If you guys are looking for a place to rehearse for an awesome price, then you’ve hit up one of the best.
I’ve been to a lot of studios and this one is the cheapest and a pretty clean location. And they are pretty chill about most things. Which in my book is an bitchin’ trait for a studio to have. And what you’ve guys read is true, Friday-​Sunday, book two hours get a third free. Which I haven’t heard from a studio in awhile, too. Not to mention Eddie is a down to earth dude and is really chill. Because most of those other studios have pompous, snobby, douche, know-​it-​all even though they’re here to service people… that’s just bs in my opinion.
Just a heads up to newbies, get to know Eddie and he’ll remember you.

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA
It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but… well, actually it doesn’t look like much from the inside, either. But this tiny spot has 4 rooms available with drums, amps, cabs and mics to rock out your jams. If you’ve got your own drum kit, just let them know and you’ll get some extra time to set up. Fri-​Sun, if you buy 2 hours of studio time, they’ll give you the 3rd hour free. It was only around $ 36 for the 3 hours we paid for. And the guy who works there is very cool about the timing. My brother and I came here on a Sunday to jam for a few hours and we didn’t even get charged for the extra 30 min. we ran over.
The men’s room contains a plethora of empty beer cans (Tecate seems to be the preferred drink of choice), so it’s cool if you need to have a brew or two to unleash your creativity. No pressure here, just come by, bring your gear and rock out for a few hours to clear the mind.
