These guys did great work and I found their cost to be much less than their competition. The guys who did the actual work were friendly and polite. I have worked with painters in the past who were almost scary– the kind of low-​lifes that make you nervous to have in your home. But not this crew. They were very professional. VERY clean work. Literally they put plastic wrap over everything and not a drop was spilled and the house was left in perfect shape. Beautiful job and they are very flexible with their scheduling.

Jeff and his guys did a great job painting my entire interior! My new baseboards and wall color looks awesome! Jeff is very professional. He is trustworthy too! When the job was done, my home was cleaned up better than I’ve ever seen it after a job like that! Thank you Jeff!

Wow!!! Exterior paint job of my house looks fantastic! Jeff was professional and prompt. He gave excellent color advice after he listened to my basic ideas and walked my neighborhood with me for my inspiration. My house has FOUR colors now. The front siding is a darker version of the base color which is on all the stucco. The trim is white and there are black accents on shutters, post and arch (Jeff’s Idea). It really looks awesome. Jeff’s painters Leo and Armando were at my house every morning at 7 AM. They worked hard to get the job done promptly and expertly. They were always neat and respectful. I will definitely use this company again. The price was fair and the paint job great!!! Thanks Jeff, Leo and Armando!

I called Jeff to get a quote to paint the interior of my house. He was very knowledgeable and gave a competitive quote. His team (Armando and Leo) were always on time and very courteous. What an amazing company!!! We live in a 3 story townhouse, filled with furniture, knick knacks, plants, pictures, two dogs and 2 cats!!! This seemed like an impossible paint job unless we moved out !! Jeff promptly called me back and came to see the home immediately. He gave a fair price and explained how the crew could work around the chaos without us having to get a hotel. This job was difficult however the 3 excellent painters worked a miracle. They arrived 7:00 am and worked till dark! They even worked on a holiday!!! Our house looks brand new and we couldn’t be happier! I believe Universal Painting is the only Company who could have done this job!!! We highly recommend them!!!

I found this company through a search of Unilocal to paint our very tired looking 50 year old house. Jeff returned my email within minutes and called me in a couple of hours. He then came out the same day to give me a quote. I had several quotes and his was the most competitive and reasonable with some wanting double for the same work that Jeff proposed. He also did not try to oversell the job. It was a straightforward 15 minute estimate.
Another unnamed painting company was here for at least an hour telling me why I needed a certain type of paint on my house. The guy from the other company then sent me a series of bizarre texts throughout the day informing me that his work is the best up until 9pm at night. The other company told me it would also take 3 weeks to finish. 3 weeks? That’s crazy. Who wants someone at their house for 3 weeks working on painting? I think I would attempt to paint the house myself if it were to take 3 weeks or more. Needless to say that guy talked himself out of the job before he even left street and the texts were further proof that he would not be hired.

Jeff and his crew showed up from day 1 everyday at 7am and worked until the sun was going down. They were very professional and meticulous. There was a lot of prep work on our two story home as it had been at least 15 years since it was last painted and they did a great job. They finished the job in about 7 days. Jeff’s quote was 5 – 8. The last day his crew stayed until 8pm cleaning up the paint supplies and making sure that they picked up everything. It was totally dark and there wasn’t even a sign that they were ever there. That’s how professional Jeff and his crew were from start to end.
Jeff also worked with us on colors as this being the first house I have owned and had to paint, we were kinda of clueless on which colors would look the best. We wanted it to look different as it was white with a faded yellow trim and just looked tired. We initially chose a darker color but he suggested a lighter color to go with the black shutters and a white trim. We went with his advice and It completely changed the look of the house and improved the value of our home. Neighbors are now asking for his number which I will gladly share.
Go with with Jeff if you need your house painted. Well worth it. His prices and service can’t be beat.

I have a little project to paint my bedroom and hallway. I called and met with several painting companies, I finally reached Jeff, Universal painting & coat. I have to say I wish I should have called them first. The price Jeff gave me is almost half of the other quotes. He offered the best price and best quality of his work. He is very honest and professional.
He returned my called in the two hours and gave me a reasonable quote over the phone first based on my description and phones. Then he came over to my house on the second day to double check and confirm the price with me. His crew spent one day to finished everything and clean up the house. Very very friendly and professional.
I would recommend universal painting & coating to my friends and any of you.
At least, call them to get a quote first. The finished work wont let you down.

My house looks better than new! Jeff and his team at Universal Painting did an excellent job painting the exterior of my house.
We wanted to get our house painted right away and sent out requests for bids from 3 companies. Of the 3 companies, Jeff was the only one that showed up on-​time for his appointment.
Universal’s rates are very competitive, and here’s a huge confidence builder, for our exterior painting, they didn’t even ask for a deposit before or during their work. That’s NADA, NOTHING, ZELCH down! They received payment after all work was completed.
Working with Jeff is a pleasure. He is professional, friendly and is very helpful with design ideas. Jeff showed us some awesome exterior combinations and even provided suggestions for our home.
His team is honest, hard working, clean and do quality work. The spent days prepping the house; scraping, patching, repairing (we had a bit of termite damage). All cracks and seams were filled. The exterior light fixtures were even removed. The areas around windows were beautifully blended into the stucco. The area around the house was covered by tarps and windows/​doors sealed with plastic. All perfect!
Every day the team showed up exactly at 7am and went right to work. When they were done, they swept up, clean up their work area and put everything away.
The paint looks perfect. Everything coated nicely. The team went around the house and made sure every little nook and cranny was covered with paint. When they were done with their work, they asked us to look at everything and make sure we were happy.
Jeff checked with us often to ensure we were satisfied and personally visited us after the work was competed to ensure our satisfaction.
I highly recommend Universal painting and although I don’t do this often, I have recommended Jeff and his team to all of my family and friends!

I just bought a new place and was looking to do all interior paint of my new home.

Price: affordable and fair
Crew: on time & professional. Everyone was great and easy to work with. When i would pop over to check in, the crew was always working and let me walk through the place to see the progress. We had some other contractors on site unfortunately but the crew worked around the other contractors. When they were done, they cleaned up and made sure everything was tidy. Just amazing & professional crew.
Jeff: professional and considerate about my time and wanted to ensure I was satisfied as a homeowner. He was always available via text/​call.
Paint job: great! clean lines, no drips and even paint job on walls, baseboards and ceiling.
We’re in the middle of finishing our garage and going to give Jeff and his crew a call to help paint the garage once it’s done.

Jeff and his crew did an amazing job transforming our tired old house in Fullerton into a craftsman dream house. His prices were very fair considering the attention to detail and the pride he put into his work.
Jeff helped us out with selecting all the amazing crown moldings and trim work. He also was so good at helping us with paint color selection. He really should just sell his design consulting as a service, but that was no charge!
I would recommend Universal and Jeff to my friends and family any day. I believe his slogan is «because you expect the best», honestly he is.

I saw Universal Painting’s 5 star rating and gave Jeff a call. He was super busy but he took my call and I made an appointment for him to come out to my house. Jeff spent about 20 minutes looking at my exterior and interior painting project, he made a few recommendations and within 24 hours, he sent me a proposal for the work. His suggestions on a little more prep made the finished job much better and saved me headaches down the road.
I really liked the personal touch and how Jeff took the time to mention a couple of minor things (additional prep to wood and stucco and use of upgraded materials) that the other contractors did not even mention.
the work was started on time, finished on time and there was never a mess when Jeff’s guys packed up each day of the 4 day job. I recommend jeff to my neighbors and they have been pleased by his work too.
The price was very reasonable. (not the cheapest but definitely the best value for the work performed, attention to detail and personal service he delivered)
there are not a lot of 5-​star contractors out there… This guy is the real deal. I see why his other customers posted 5 stars.
