It’s more of a 3.5 rating for me, but nonetheless still a good donut shop. Luckily if you’re not a donut person they also offer breakfast sandwiches and burritos. If that still doesn’t appeal to you, they also offer roast beef, tuna, turkey, and blt sandwiches. For about $ 6.99, you can order it as a combo with your soda and chips. They do offer a great selection of donuts. A Winchell’s dozen is about $ 9.99 and you could pick 14 different donuts. They also have a nice selection of smoothies and«chillas»(ice blended drinks). Their iced coffee is good, but a bit watered down. I tried the horchata chilla and it was just ok. Give yourself plenty of time. The location tends to get extremely crowded on weekend mornings, especially on Sundays.

Went here for the first time one night after work and saw they had a special deal on sandwiches. I was a little skeptical since I’ve never thought to buy a sandwich from what is primarily a donut shop. But I said to myself«what the hell, it’s only $ 6». I got myself a turkey bacon avacado sandwich on a onion bagel. I got home and boy was I in for a surprise. That had to have been one of if not THE best sandwich I’ve ever had. I’ve been going back ever since.

Not only do Winchells come through with the softest most delicious donuts you’ve ever had but the reasonable price for those festive mini dozen donuts came out to no more than $ 3.00 Great for a gathering!

Went in to get a sandwich. The kid in there doesn’t speak English enough to even understand what I’m ordering and then makes it wrong and try to pick off the things that he put on it that were wrong and still give it to me. I don’t understand why you would hire someone who doesn’t speak English to do a job where you have to deal with the public in America where we speak English

Wow. Seedy place. Homeless guy sleeping in front of the business. The place smells great when you walk in. Was hopeful. Made a joke to the kid working there about having a doughnut and sleeping there, referencing the homeless guy. The kid had no idea what I was talking about. On to the treats. They have these cool looking pineapple things, and croissant doughnuts called Cronas. Well, a bunch of my friends ordered doughnuts. Kind of weird they put all the doughnuts in the same bag, not the classic pink box(maybe that’s a Winchell’s thing), and man the bag started bleeding grease immediately. Didn’t think too much of it. Sat down, the chairs have like gang shit scratched into them and the table tops were all dirty. So, took a bite of the pineapple thing. Had to spit it out. It had the greasiness of pizza, or garlic bread. Drenched. Plus, it tasted about a week old. Tried a chocolate and maple Crona or whatever, not as bad but very stale. While we sat there shaking our heads, more rough looking types rolled in. The clientele reminded me of a soup kitchen or bus depot. Needless to say, we tossed the shit and bought a bran muffin for the homeless guy and left. Probably won’t go to a Winchell’s ever again. I’d definitely warn anyone from coming here. Hole in the wall doesn’t even begin to describe this dump. Come here if you like the taste of stale, sweet grease and a depressing ambience. I’m a bit nervous having taken the few bites I did. I hope I don’t get ill. Nasty. Reading the good reviews and, wow. Either this place has recently gone downhill or, I don’t know what. If the doughnuts had been fresh… But inordinately oily and gross even fresh I’d expect. Pass.

By far best taste in the area. Classic coffee. Lines a little long but worth the wait. Classic donuts from the early days of southern cali. Enjoy.

My kids wanted donuts and this place is right near our house. So we stopped by and was pleasantly surprised. We got half a dozen donuts. The kids loved it(these are teenagers). I’m not a doughnut fan so I didn’t try it. But they have a variety to chose from and they look tasty. I got a turkey deli sandwich in a plain bagel. I must say this is the best bagel sandwich I’ve ever had. It was creamy, an abundance of turkey and there was cucumber in there for only 4.99. I’m definitely going back to get this sandwich for lunch. The service was good too and we got fresh squeezed oj with pulp and all!

I am a teacher and sometimes when I am feeling extra nice or to celebrate something special with my students I come here to get my kiddos mini donuts and they love them. if they are out of mini donuts I order them the donut holes. If I am feeling extra kind, Ill bring my staff members a dozen of the big donuts. Located in the Northgate shopping center on Euclid and Ball, sits this classic donut shop with plenty of parking, with an easy in and easy out access. However if you enter on Ball, watch out for the family of pigeons in the parking lot. There must of been 100 of them. The line always varies. Usually before 7:00am there is no wait, but after 7:00am the line is 7 – 8 people deep with 3 – 4 employees assisting customers. These donuts are nothing special, nothing fancy, nothing extraordinary, no OMG factor. If your a donut snob, then stay away. What you get here are good classic donuts that take you back to the 80s when your dad would take you to get a donut after church on a Sunday morning. They have classic glazed, jelly filled, sprinkled, cake, bars, buttermilk, ect. They also have muffins, croissants, bagels, sandwiches, fritters and ect. To wash everything down they offer coffee, specialized coffee drinks, sodas, smoothies, and milk. The service here is AMAZING. The manager, I wish I knew her name but when I used to work in Orange, she worked at the Winchell’s on Tustin Ave. I was so happy when I discovered her at this location in Anaheim. She made the best bagel sandwiches then and she still makes the best bagel sandwiches at this location. I usually get the egg, bacon and cheese on a everything bagel with butter instead of mayo. It always tastes amazing. Although they are not the best donuts, I am giving them 4 stars for their service, price, location and bagel sandwiches. 2 dozen mini donuts and my large coffee cost me $ 7.00 and some change.

Fresh Donuts and Bagel Sandwiches for sure since there was a small crowd when I went in the mornings. I got the chorizo & egg bagel and the ham, cheese, & egg bagel from them. They are good breakfast options especially with coffee. I ate the bagels with siracha sauce too which added a kick to it. I will definitely go back and get more for sure!

Bagels! Their bagels are amazing. I’ve tried almost all of them with almost all their different flavor cream cheese. My favorite is the sesame seed bagel with chives cream cheese. They also have amazing blended drinks.

Winchells Donut House is def a hot spot for breakfast! Every time I have come here, the place is super packed! The donuts don’t seem to be any different than any other place and are reasonably priced — no more or less than anywhere else. They have some pretty good bagel breakfast sandwiches. They have some interesting juices here… I have tried this one juice that was made with beets. It’s conveniently located off Euclid and Ball, but if you go here… prepare to be standing in line for a while. This place is BUSY! Also, there are only a few small tables to sit down — which are ALWAYS full. So, I would only suggest this place if you are getting your food to go.

Winchell’s is Winchell’s, but this Winchell’s is special because I trudged in one early morning for a bagel and a guy was asking everyone for a cell phone because he was just carjacked by four guys while driving down Euclid. They’re usually out of sundried tomato cream cheese here. Fair warning.

Sunday morning, 6:35AM and I had to fuel up for a hike. Despite how much I hate Subway, I was looking for something not greasy so I drove to the Subway on Euclid and Orange. I arrived to find out they weren’t going to open until 7AM but I was already behind schedule. I left and was on my way to the Subway on Katella that I know is a 24 hour location when I spotted Winchells. My hatred for Subway combined with the time I’d lose driving down another two blocks pushed me to the donut shop. The interior was quite small, but had about 4 booths. I spotted some bagel sandwiches on their menu and was way relieved to not be eating only greasy donuts for breakfast. They had a special on their turkey, bacon, and avocado bagel sandwich served with a drink and chips for $ 5. The girl who took my order informed me I could sub the chip and drinks for donut and a coffee. I took her up on that offer and had an apple fritter that was pretty bomb. The sandwich was delicious. The turkey was piled on quite generously and the avocado was fresh. The bacon was underwhelming, but still added a salty crisp. One thing that could have been disastrous was the chipotle mayo. It was medium on the spice meter and added a good flavor to the large amount of turkey. If I was someone who can’t eat spicy foods I’d have been livid that the girl didn’t ask first. This Winchells used to be on my route to work. It’s a bummer that I moved, because it would totally have been my new place to grab breakfast for days when cereal just isn’t enough.

I wasn’t too sure what to expect when I came here. After though, I regret not coming here sooner! On my donut platter tonight I tried a glazed with crushed oreo, apple fritter, and a frosted cake donut with crumbs. Unfortunately, no one can out-do Psycho Donuts in San Jose when it comes to oreos and donut combos. I had high expectations when I bit into this donut… a lackluster bite mediocre bite was all that was recieved. Oh well! It is true folks, I have found another contestant in my all time best apple fritters folks! This contestant was mean! A stout, dense, donut that filled the bag it came in. When I pulled it out of the bag I was surprised by the sheer mass of this fritter. Why did this one earn a top spot? No burnt spots, spot on with the glaze, a cinnamon roll like interior, and had a lovely amount of apple bits which continually surprised your mouth bite after bite. Yeaaaa mannnnn! Although fritters always earn a top spot in my heart, tonight the ultra close second place winner goes to the frosted cake donut with crumbs. Ordinarily I think that this would be too dense for my liking, ohhhhh nooo. After my first bite I was surprised by what the cake was, cinnamon sugar. Oh my stars! This cinnamon sugar interior, plus the cinnamony crumbs, plus the frosted exterior was almost too much to handle. This donut really does not look like much so I could see how it would be passed up. Make sure you do find this«Waldo» amongst the rest of the other delicious donuts on display. You will not regret it! This place reminded me the importance of keeping an open mind. Most times I would pass up a chain donut shop for a mom & pop place. Winchells definitely laid it down and impressed me unbelievably.

Went with a co worker this morning to get some breakfast. They have an awesome deal here. With only $ 5, you get any, and I mean any of their sandwiches here, 24 oz drink or substitute for a coffee(like I did), and chips. Now the chips can be substituted for things like a donut, a cookie or for a dollar more, you can substitute it for a crème cheese croissant. The croissant can be plain or numerous flavors. The main thing that shined about this place is the service that you receive. Very kind employees and very helpful. They helped me when I was being indecisive. Good experience and more than likely will be coming back.

Went here this morning to spoil my underlings at work. This place is pretty clean, service is good, store is small, and the doughnuts are good. Just good. Not great nor terrible. I didn’t get diarrhea so that’s a good sign. I would recommend if you just a need a quick place to pick up some doughnuts and head off to your day. — Parking is plentiful — A dozen of glazed was $ 4.99

If you blindfolded yourself you would swear you’re eating Dunkin’ Donuts. Nothing special about Winchells. This one in Anaheim offers pretty good service, but the donuts and coffee are about as average as you would expect.
