Dempsey-Anderson Ice Arena

While there is a large sign for this arena, blink and you might miss this place.
The facility is back off the road, which allows for parking right up front. Really any spot in the lot is a skip, hop, jump away from the front doors.
Dead ahead of you is their café area. Prices are just alright. Overpriced really, but that should be expected. They offer snacks like cookies, pretzels and chips. And various colored Gatorades and water. Nothing extra ordinary.
They have two rinks, or at least two rinks that they actually use. Both with very very limited seating — two, three rowed metal bleachers on the home side of Rink 2, then 4, two rowed metal bleachers in Rink 1. And I know it’s an ice skating rink but for some reason it’s way closer here than I remembered from others. Like I’m wearing two layers of clothing and I’m sitting here freezing.
I do have to mention, it is very clean in here. Like not even dust caked up on the outsides of the floors, nor dust on the sill below their glass. Their locker rooms too get the wash down. And their ice is pretty groomed.
Sit back on the bleachers, wear lots of layers and enjoy some good hockey. This the season!

Great place to play some puck!
The ice is kept nice and cold, the Zamboni driver is quick and efficient, the locker rooms are always clean.
The café is nice for fans during tournaments, but that’s usually the only time it is open. The seating is scarce and if you’re not playing make sure you bundle up! There is a reason why the ice is so nice… it’s cold!
