History

Established in 2008.

Firetap Alehouse was created by Jack Lewis of Peanut Farm Sports Bar & Grill and Sourdough Mining Company Restaurant, and Diane Thompson founder of Humpy’s Great Alaska Alehouse. The concept was based on the philosophy that it is more fun to dine in a bar than to drink in a restaurant. We specialize in great Alaskan Ales. Or menu is a standout of American cuisine with an Italian flare. We warmly invite you to come down and spend time in our clean and upscale Alehouse. You will find a menu with fantastic selections and some of the best pizza in the sate.

Born and raised in Anchorage Alaska, I have been managing restaurants my entire adult life. I started in the industry at 16 years of age washing dishes at Garcia’s of Scottsdale Fine Mexican Restaurant on C st in 1983.

When I left Garcia’s in 1995 I was the General Manager. After a trip out to the Bearing Sea Commercial Crab Fishing, I Spent 14 years at The Peanut Farm Sports bar & Grill Where I was the General Manager for 10 years. Now I am the General Manager at Firetap Tikahtnu and I Love it!
