History
Established in 2014.
My husband, Michael Williams, and I (Lindsay Williams) set out on this adventure in October 2007, by starting Midnight Sun Café. I wanted to create a space that was warm and inviting. Where people could come to relax, and their minds could find sanctuary from the stresses of everyday life. I started by serving the best coffee I could get my hands on. K Bay Coffee and Espresso is Organic and Fairly Traded, locally roasted in Homer, Alaska. Over the years we have had excellent staff, our menu has grown, and we found our niche on the east end of downtown. We are passionate about great food and warm hospitality.
This May (2014) we assumed ownership of Moose A’La Mode. We are so happy to have a location on the west end of downtown. Downtown Anchorage really is the heart of our city.
Meet the Business Owner
Lindsay W.
Business Owner
A graduate of the University of Alaska Anchorage, Lindsay founded the Midnight Sun Café (2007) located in downtown Anchorage. The café is a quaint coffee shop that serves a light breakfast, lunch (deli sandwiches, unique Panini, soup from scratch), and features homemade-baked goods. She continues to manage the café’s daily operations.
As a small business owner she is deeply involved in her community. Lindsay is a member of the Anchorage Downtown Partnership, and the Anchorage Convention and Visitor Bureau. Over the past 7 years, the business has made numerous in-kind donations to local non-profits and schools for silent auctions and to support fundraising efforts. The Midnight Sun Café also has a School-Business Partnerships agreement with AVAIL.
In addition to managing the Midnight Sun Café, Lindsay also owns/manages Moose A’La Mode LLC.
