I have loved Resolution brewing from the moment they opened. They are my neighborhood brewery and make it feel as such. They are expanding all the time in not only their beer creations but also adding food to the menu! They have fun themed days of the week like vinyl Wednesdays and Geeks who Drink Thursdays. Always great to pop in and see what’s new. Make sure to follow them on Instagram for exclusives.

Cool place and cool location. I wasn’t in love with the beers but they all had potential to be great. I hope this place keeps on keeping because I think they have the potential to be great.

We stopped here and not only got amazing deals on the clothing inventory they were trying to get rid of but my husband really enjoyed their beers rating them equal to his other favorite brewery in Alaska. The interior is very comfortable and I liked that they had water on all the tables as well.

You know Anchorage has officially become a beer town when bad craft breweries start popping up. The Pros: Cool spot, tanks on display, rotating taps, good looking merch, friendly employees, outside food welcome. The Cons: None of the beer I’ve tried has ever wowed me. And I’m not terribly fond of the location, as it is across the highway from where I usually do my living. If you are in the area, it is absolutely worth checking out; hopefully your beer tastes are different than mine and you dig it.

I attended for a fundraiser event. The sampler is worth the price. I enjoyed the beer, the atmosphere and the servers. I will have to go back with a growler.

I’ve only been here once, so I’ll reserve the right to upgrade at some point in time. I’m a south sider, and don’t get to this part of town much. The location is a bit odd, but I like the ambiance once you get inside. A deck of cards at each table is a great touch. Bring your own food, etc. They definitely don’t pretend to be something they aren’t and I respect that. I had the IPA… not great, but not horrible. I’m liking the increase in tasting rooms like this in Anchorage, so I wish these guys the best.

I was excited to try a new, local brewery. Unfortunately, Resolution just didn’t deliver. Customer service was shoddy right from the entrance, no pleasant greeting just a warning about an upcoming«Private Event»(not advertised on the front door and poorly advertised on the website). It turns out«Private» actually meant $ 10 tickets to attend a Belgian Beer Tasting night but we weren’t even offered the opportunity to purchase a ticket and join the fun… just warned we had to be out before the party started and we wouldn’t be served anything if we chose to stay. Overall impression: pretty haughty and elitist for a business trying to foster a sense of community.

Madame Beer was brilliant. Madame Beer was a «mistake» I’ll never have it again. I told the bartender«If you can reproduce this beer you will be millionaires!!» 4 of 4 of us had similar feeling that we just tasted one of the best beers we will ever taste again. It was a good night.

I go to Resolution when I feel like taking a gamble; both the beers and the service are hit or miss. On my latest visit, during their Ice Cream Social event with Wild Scoops, the service was fast and friendly. I was impressed with how well the servers were able to keep up with the overwhelming volume of people ebbing and flowing through their doors that evening. I had a sour beer(I forget the exact name) that was tart and refreshing as promised. It was in interesting pairing with the cool, creamy vegan coconut ice cream I chose to pair it with. On previous visits during slow days, I have had terrible service and they have been sold out of nearly every beer on tap. My advice: Resolution puts on its A-game during events. If you don’t mind it being standing room only, you’ll find yourself with a great brew in hand, surrounded by great people on these nights.

In the interest of full disclosure: — RBC and I have collaborated in the past: they were a sponsor for an Official Unilocal Event I threw this summer. What does that mean: they gave me some free growlers of their delicious suds Having said that, this place is pretty great! Don’t be fooled by the Mountainview/strip mall location! Inside lies a pretty legit brewery! Their focus seems to be more Belgian-esque styles. Honestly, these types of beer aren’t really my favorite(I’m more of a hophead, I know, typical) but I quite enjoy trying their varied concoctions! If you are into Belgians, you’ve found your new home. You’ll always find something different on tap, and you’ll always find something you’ve never had before. Love the audacity of not being afraid to try/brew new things this place shows. The stack of bicycles inside should tell you that they are very cyclist-friendly! In fact, there seems to be an overall«outdoorsy» theme under the surface here. In that way it reminds me of one of my favorite breweries in Portland: Base Camp Brewing. Definitely give them a visit.

Great atmosphere, owner had a dog who was amazingly adorable. Only had three beers on tap, but i will admit this was the FIRST time I enjoyed a sour and the triple was great as well. My boyfriend loved the IPA, if you like beer, try it out. You wont be dissapointed.

Do I have to be that person? Here goes… I’m not a big beer drinker.(I know, I know!) But the reason is because I find it so filling and I usually prefer to eat my calories than drink them. That said, I do like GOOD beer and Resolution was more than good. In fact, they were great on so many levels. ONE: The tasting room is cool! It’s open and there’s standing room, plenty of tables, and even an outdoor patio. TWO: Hang out. Drink. Enjoy free wifi THREE: Ride your bike here? No problem — They let you leave your bike inside tucked away from the elements and/or bike thieves. FOUR: The beer, the most important part! It’s good. I opted for a sampler and really enjoyed all the beers I tried. Moreover I enjoyed the variety, the names, and the descriptions that the gal gave to me as I ordered. She was a great guide and really knew her brews. FIVE: Started to mention it already but service was awesome. There was a big ass line of people waiting to get beer when I popped by and to me it was less about having to wait and more about seeing that this was THE place to be. It was worth the wait and the gal pouring the beers was extremely polite and charismatic. She didn’t rush customers, she still answered questions and gave advice — she rocks at her job.

This brewery has great potential, but they need to work out a few things. With only one person working(even though she was super nice and helpful) we had to stand in a long line to get our drink. Also, they need to figure out how to keep clean glasses stocked since there is no plumbing up front. The beer was okay, nothing really stood out. The pale ale had a flavor that was a bit off, one of my friends described the after taste as «burnt rubber» The nitrogen tap is a nice touch, but the black IPA they were pulling lacked flavor. They do a nice job with the space considering it’s in a strip mall and I’m sure once they are open awhile, they will be an amazing place to get a pint.

Resolution Brewing Company you know I like you but I do so wish you were more available, this weekend only relationship is hard on me, sometimes I would like to see you on just a Monday or Wednesday night, you can get so busy on the weekends… I love that you’re playing with traditional beer styles, and I just like your style ;)

Good job, Mountain view, for approving this wonderful brewery into your neighborhood! The storefront of this brewery is undistinguished, and therefore, slightly hard to find, yet I feel the brewery did a good job working with what they have inside the tasting room. Typical of many breweries, the interior design is a combination of cool elements(polished concrete, edison bulbs, etc) and warmer tones, with wood tables, chair rail, and what appears to be wood-look vinyl tile on the beer dispenser wall. The first time I went, there were 4 beers to choose from. Admittedly, I found them all to be slightly too sweet for my taste, but I am also quite sensitive. I liked the IPA the best, but was just hoping to experience a beer more bitter. I actually ended up speaking to one of the owners and he was wonderfully laid-back and receptive about everyone’s opinions. You could tell he really wanted the feedback. I stopped in yesterday after a hike up Mt. Baldy and found the Belgian triple to be perfectly refreshing after a quick & dirty climb. The same pourer from before spent time explaining how the Belgian came to be. I asked how they curbed the sweet factor and he mentioned something about great care in dry yeasting… take this all with a grain of salt, I do not know my beer-making lingo all that well. But! I appreciated his knowledge and time. The brewery has hosted yoga, welcomes bike groups, and encourages you to bring food if you want. The pricing is reasonable. I really hope to see this brewery stick around for a while!

Anchorage is really becoming a beer city when we get our first bad brewery. Poor clarity, poor conditioning, and lack of taste differential between styles are hallmarks of missteps in the brewing process and the beers I’ve tried here have all of these attributes. I’ve given it two shots, ordering flights on both trips and all 8 beers I’ve tried have been disappointing. The location, while a bit odd stuck in the strip mall next to the McDonald’s behind bass pro, is a lovely spot with great potential. You’re encouraged to bring your own food, and the atmosphere is very nice though the open brewery betrays the lack of attention to controlling wild yeasts and maintaining a sterile brewing/conditioning environment. Unfortunately since all they serve is beer, the beer is what will make or break this venture and they have a ways to go before their brewing is ready for distribution. The highlight was getting one of the super rad steel growlers that looks like a little keg. Brilliant idea, not to mention pretty well built and a great storage environment for beer. I’ll just be filling it with someone else’s brew, unfortunately.

Anchorage has no shortage of great beer and Resolution Brewery is yet another example of great beer in Anchorage. What makes Resolution different from other breweries is, for now, they are small. As of this review they only serve four beers and that’s fine with me. The staff are really friendly and approachable. The tasting room has a view of the brewery and from here you will see just how small they are. Nothing huge as far as equipment just yet. I have a feeling big things are to come from Resolution Brewing and they will outgrow this space soon! If your a creat beer fan put this place on your list!

I think this place has some serious potential for being AWESOME and giving the other Anchorage breweries a run for their money! I say this because while they may be a new business, they aren’t new to Anchorage or the brewing scene. I had a chance to really talk to the owners and they have tons of brewing experience, which they’ve gained from experiences all over the world. These guys are serious about keeping the customers in mind and love getting feedback on what types of beer the people want, while still keeping their Belgium style in check! Not only do I love the attitude of the owners, the beer that they make, but I love the look and feel of the brewery! The fact that the brewing area is open to the rest of the brewery is awesome and creates really cool center piece. The wood work on the counters and walls, along with the low hanging Edison type lights creates a really cool, relaxing atmosphere that you just want to hang out in. They also have plans to get a garage door added to the back wall, so you can look out and see the mountains and on a nice summer day be able to taken in that cool Alaskan air! Can’t wait for that! I’m excited to see where they can take themselves and looking forward to tasting all of their beers! You can be sure I’m going to be a regular here!
