Anderson Meadows Apartments

This place SUCKS. Took forever to respond to any of my maintenance issues, unless they thought they could charge you for it, then they were there within hours. The gates were always open during the day and a lot of seedy neighbors from down the block kept coming in. The grass was full of dog and cat poop even though there was a no pet policy. We were told we werent allowed to have pets, but quite a few tenants had them, and they had large dogs, pits, dobermans. I dont have anything against these but dont tell people they cant have them if you allow other people to have them. Then we got a notice that they were going to raise our rent because the property was covered in dog poop. WE DIDNT EVEN HAVE A DOG!!! The pool was always dirty. The common area they did not allow people kids to play in because their maintenance guy didnt want to take care of it. Not that he did much. Oh and the maintenance guy was the managers boyfriend so when she was gone so was he. In the apartment lease it DOES NOT state anything about breaking your lease but if you try to they try to charge you. We told them that it does not state anything about breaking the lease fees and they said, «its not in the lease because you cant». ?That makes no sense. We upgraded apartments (only because our 1 bedroom was small and we felt a larger apartment might make it more tolerable there) and they charged us high fees for cleaning that 3 months after we moved they never did. I know because one of the things they charged us for was on the outside of the window that we saw each time we walked passed. It was something that was there when we moved in. Oh and they charged us for issues that were present when we moved in because their move in list does not list issues, just good, fair, and poor and it is at their discretion what qualifies as poor. There are a lot of issues we had there, too many to mention.
The 9 months we were there was horrible. I will never stay or recommend this place to anyone. Only people that we spoke to that liked it were the managers friends and family that lived there (and worked there) and the meth heads (serious, a lot of our neighbors were on meth and coke).
