Business Owner

Mike was born and raised in Redding, CA. After High School, he attended Willamette University and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry. In college, he studied vertebrate physiology and conducted research about the effects of pesticides on amphibians. All this in preparation to become a Wildlife Biologist, or so he thought. While searching for employment, he took a part time position as a pest control technician for a national pest control company.

Mike found that he was very passionate about pest control and advanced his way through the company. He holds an Operator’s license in Branches I, II and III. He has been a PCOC Director since 2002. He has served as District Chair of the Shasta and Big Valley Districts. He has been the committee chair of the General Pest Committee and the GreenPro Task Force. Mike is currently the Third Vice President of the State Pest Control Association.

These people came out quickly, did more than I asked, for a price better than I expected. I haven’t needed any extra visits, but today —a holiday weekend, very hot — and I needed help. Within an hour a man came out and took care of the problem very quickly and couldn’t have been more pleasant. Needing pest control help made me feel like a wimp at first, but each of the three men I have dealt with were reassuring, knowledgeable, and very kind. I am so glad I called the right pest control company.

I had Big Time Pest Control from the Redding Area, CA come to McCloud, CA. out recently for two houses I own. I had them both sprayed at a cost of $ 700.00. Less than a month and a half later all the small ants are back in the house and I see plenty of Carpenter Ants outside. I was told they would come back if the ants came back soon. They will but I have to pay all over again or get their monthly service. Do NOT WASTE your money!

I’d love to give a glowing review, but sadly I was disappointed with their work when doing the repairs they found in our pest inspection when we bought our home.
The two stars are for legitimately getting rid of the fleas under the house. I’ll assume they did the termite treatment as well.
However, the dry rot repair was seriously lacking. Some areas they repaired and painted but didn’t even coming close to matching the paint color. Other areas they just cut out the dry rot and didn’t repair/​replace the wood.
Additionally, there was a large amount of scrap wood under the house (where the signs of termite activity was). They were to remove the wood and dispose of it. They moved the wood to the basement and left it, saying it was too much to haul off and the guy doing it was upset because fleas kept getting
They may be great for routine pest control stuff as other reviews indicate, but don’t waste your time using them for pest report/​dry rot repairs.

UNFORTUNATELY we had a pest problem. It caused us to vacate and break a lease. The cons about this situation just go on and on… a daunting list.
HOWEVER, one pro is that BTPC (big time pest control) were easy to work with and honored their word. By that I mean to say. they were the ONLY company to come out, give an estimate and PUT IT IN WRITING for us.
No one else, NOT a single company put anything in writing like they promised to.
So to that I say BTPC is a major PLUS. Not only did they put a report and estimate IN WRITING, they were THE ONLY company to go UNDER our house to see what was REALLY going on.
Michael Rybeck helped us with our pest control problem and wanted to say he did an excellent job. This company does not waste time, and does DELIVER with its service.
look no further for pest control.

Once i had to call because we found a wasp nest in the backyard while cleaning up for a party the next day — made one call and they had someone out within an hour to take care of it. Amazing service!

As a small business owner myself, I appreciate how Big Time Pest Control treated me. They honored an ad that I found online that didn’t even apply to my situation and I, in no way insisted that they do so. The technician (Walter) insisted that they honor it since it was online and didn’t even ask to see the ad. He told me that he believed me and treated us like an honest business should. I enjoyed how he respected my home and took the utmost care around my three young children as well as around our dogs.

We had a BED BUG problem just recently. We tried to spray to get rid of them. The other night we walked in my sons room to catch a bed bug running back across his pillow. We had enough. I sent a text to Mike Bullert (Owner of Big Time Pest Control Redding/​Red Bluff) at 10:30 at night expecting a call in the morning maybe. He immediately called me back explaining what I needed to do to prepare for him to come. He took my call VERY serious, he showed up with 4 Big Time Pest trucks and 5 guys and came in searching and spraying for bed bugs, then gave me some poison to bag up my belongings in to kill the bugs. We have used different pest control services over the last 20 years. Mike Bullert and Big Time Pest Control are easily the best of any we have ever used. Their rates are very reasonable and they offer great customer service. They are easy to get a hold of, and the staff is very courteous and professional. It is very important to me, regarding courtesy, and they are always friendly, not just to us, but our dog too! And, ever since we started using them, we have no problems with bugs or rodents. They are always available to come out on the spot, the couple times we had ants in the kitchen. I highly recommend Mike Bullert and Big Time Pest Control!

After a very thorough inspection, my husband and I were told $ 500 for some debris removal and dry rot repair. We were told there were no termites and shook hands with the inspector. Imagine our surprise when a bill for $ 1350 was submitted to the new buyers of our home. Talk about padding the bill! Did he think we were not going to notice it in the escrow? If your looking for honesty and reasonable pricing use Trinity Termite!

I have been using Mike and his team at Big Time Pest Control at our house for about 4 years. When we first used them we had spiders and webs all around our house. After the FIRST spray, the critters were gone. We have not had issues with ants, black widows or even spider webs in the garage. They are amazing!
They spray every 2 months and with our contract will come back any other time in between scheduled service if needed. I’ve used that a few times for wasps and occasional things and they always came out that day or the next day.
Such friendly people and easy to talk to, you can see that they care and listen.
