History

Established in 1999.

C.J. Boots Casket Company was founded in 1999 by Christopher J. Boots out of a small shop in Lapel, IN. A custom furniture and cabinet maker by trade, Chris started building hardwood caskets. After tremendous growth in the first year in business, Chris found it necessary to relocate its operations to a larger facility in Anderson, IN. The company continued to experience growth and in November of 2009 relocated its operations to the current location north of downtown Anderson. C.J. Boots currently supplies caskets to other casket companies and distributors throughout the United States and Canada.

Christopher J. Boots, founder and president of C.J. Boots Casket Company, holds memberships in the Casket and Funeral Supply Association of America, the Indiana Funeral Director’s Education Foundation, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, Indiana Manufacturers Association, the Indiana Funeral Directors Sale Supply Club, and School Board member for South Madison School Corporation. Chris provides leadership and direction for the company and is the primary source for the company’s product development. He enjoys spending time on his boat with his wife and four lovely children.
