Greg E.

Business Owner

Eckstein’s House of Awards bears the slogan, «Your moment. Our passion since 1964.» Successfully maintaining any business in Anderson, or indeed, any business in Indiana, over so many generations is a rare achievement in itself and speaks volumes about the passion behind the operation.

Owner Dave Eckstein first dreamed up the idea of selling trophies as a career back in 1964. Eckstein was smart in the way he went about preparing to open a business that he hoped would be a lifelong endeavor. He traveled across the country visiting trophy shops and asking just two essential questions: How do you lose money, and How do you make money?

The results of this unique personal survey are still patently obvious today. Eckstein’s House of Awards in Anderson, Indiana is one of the most successful examples of small business thriving in the generational transition.
