History

Established in 1958.

Nick’s Auto Service was established in 1958 by Hobart Nicholas and he operated the business until he retired in 1981. Mel Broshar became the new owner and hired me after I finished school. I became the new owner as of July, 2005. In 2008, I was honored by the Governor of Indiana, Mitch Daniels, with a 2008 Governor’s Half Century Business Award. Starting out as a two bay shop, Nick’s Auto Service has been expanded three times and now has seven full time employees.

I have been married to Jennifer for 22 years, we have three great children. I started working at a parts store in 1983, went to Lincoln Tech in 1986 and started working at Nick‘s Auto Service in October 1986. I am an ASE certified Master Automotive Technician with LT1 certification.
