At NorCal Trail Rides we offer safe, comfortable trail rides throughout the Northern California area

Open seven days a week year round

Offering two rides a day: One morning ride and one late afternoon/​evening ride. Call for times.

We supply the horses, tack, helmets, water and an experienced wrangler to guide your ride.

We welcome riders with all levels of riding experience.

Safety is always our main focus to insure that everybody has a worry free ride and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

We also offer lessons, training, horsemanship clinics, kids summer camp, birthday parties and specialty rides.

This place is truly a gem.
Turns out I’m terrified of horses (?) so taking a lesson was way more intense on my end then I thought it would be. But it ended up being the highlight of my year so far. The staff here is not only knowledgable and professional, but just plain friendly. Right away I felt like I had known everyone for ears. I never was made to feel weird because of my ridiculous fear. Everyone was super accommodating and radiated kindness. I will for sure save for another lesson.

I took a 1 hour lesson and a 2 hour trail ride with Alicia at NorCal trail rides. I was a total beginner at horseback riding, but thanks to the amazing crew, I felt absolutely no anxiety or apprehension during my first or second rides. The staff are personable, friendly, and willing to ask any and all questions. I HIGHLY recommend Norcal trail rides and can’t wait to go back. This LA girl looks forward to more rides in the future with these wonderful people!

We put our son into the five-​day summer riding camp, where the kids learn about caring for the horses – bathing, grooming, cleaning hooves, and yes, cleaning up the poop – in addition to learning how to ride. Our twelve year-​old son had a wonderful time; he was tired at the end of the day but always had a smile on his face. Alicia, Julie and crew were just great with the kids, and very effective instructors. Since learning that my large, middle-​aged ass comes in just under the wait limit for lessons (250 pounds), I’m planning to take a lesson at NorCal myself. It’s a first-​class operation.

Unbelievably relaxing and fun. The scenery was amazing and the ride was so therapeutic. I went out with Alicia on a two hour trail ride which was an awesome deal at only $ 70. Including tip it was only $ 85 which is way cheaper than most places in the Bay Area. I’ll definitely be coming back with friends in the future. Maybe for a birthday or something. Thanks so much Alicia!
