Design with Nature’s two principal designers each have collective design experience spanning 40 years, with over a decade designing and maintaining landscapes in the Catskills. Melissa Bennett has over 25 years of experience restoring and maintaining gardens in the Catskills. Together we provide you with unparalleled experience.

Meet the Business Owner

David B.

Business Owner

David has a degree in landscape architecture from Cornell University. He brings his passion for the environment and over three decades of design experience. He has worked with world-​famous firms on large and small projects including: Architect I.M. Pei and Partners, and Landscape Architects Engel, GGP, known for their acclaimed work with the Rockefeller family. He has been recognized for his design accomplishments including: the 2012 NYC AIDS Memorial Competition (semi-​finalist), his work on the re-​design of the Canadian National Exhibition site (CNE), the design and installation of parks and community facilities in the town of Cheshire, CT, and numerous projects in NYC including rooftop and terrace gardens as well as elaborate gardens on Fire Island, NY. He recently participated in a horitculture/​permaculture program at the Kalani Wellness Retreat Center on the Big Island of Hawaii, and has completed coursework towards a certification as a New York State Flood Plain Manager.
