Usually I’m really opposed to chain restaurants. The 99 blows all other chains away — it has always been and will always be one of my favorite places to eat in Andover. The food is affordable, fresh, and well made. You are always served popcorn(sometimes crackers and cheese) when you sit at the bar or table. Staff is always friendly and personable. Their Horseshoe Lager is bomb. Drink it. Tall glasses of beer are served in a large, frozen mug — the ideal way to drink nearly any beer. Boneless Buffalo wings are tasty, crisp, light with a hint of spicy. My favorite has always been the chicken broccoli and ziti meal. The only alfredo I’ll eat as I find most either two heavy or too salty or too something. Go to the 99. Eat at the 99. Love the 99.

I usually like going to the 99, but this location has slow service. When I first walked in, there were several tables open and the lady told us to wait 5 – 10 minutes. When I got to my table, I ordered a drink. The drink took so long that I was ready to order when I got it. I was going to get dessert, but it took so long to get the check that I decided to get my dessert elsewhere. I don’t want to come back here.

Nothing impressive here. Seems to be tons of standing around to include the cooks. The steamed broccoli was hard. The cooked tomato was like warm. The asparagus was hard and salty. The place smelled. The only saving part was the salmon– excellent!

Great food! Try the BBQ Turkey Tips. Great neighborhood spot to watch sports & have a great meal. Even though I’m from Chicago, I always feel welcomed & at home at this 99 location.

We had an outstanding experience at the 99! We had a short wait and when we were seated the staff were just wonderful with my 2 small children! They got the kids’ food out quickly and were very friendly and talkative with them. I ordered a burger and it was delicious and well seasoned and cooked. The kids’ food was great and more than enough for them. Dining with small kids was so much fun and easy here!

Not bad for«boring suburban food» type place. Some days, for one reason or another, you don’t feel like ethnic food, or perhaps you just want to watch a game. 99 restaurant provides you traditional suburban burgers, fries, etc. I actually had the swordfish special, which was phenomenal.

This was my second time here(first time for dinner) and was with a party of 5. I ordered off the $ 9.99 signature menu and chose to pay the extra $ 3.49 to make it an entrée(choice of soup or salad and a desert). The food was great, but took forever to not only receive, but to order. For an appetizer we shared the boneless wings and the potato skins. They were delicious, but we received the wrong sauce that we had requested. For a meal I opted with the balsamic chicken and my two sides were rice and broccoli. My salad was a Caesar and for desert I opted with vanilla ice cream. The reason for the low rating had more to do with the speed of service. We were low on beverages and took forever to be refilled. Also, it took us about 15 minutes to receive our appetizer, after waiting 5 – 10 minutes to place it and we didn’t even have a chance to place our order until just before the appetizer came out.

3 adults for lunch about 1:30 pm, not really busy, ordered onion soup, fish n chips, seafood chowder and wedge salad. Soups good portions, served hot, Fish ok, fries ok, yet barely warm, not really crispy, wedge salad dressing good w tomatoes, bacon, yet lettuce edges frozen. Service friendly, attentive. Prices ok.

Rude hostess at the front… she was on the phone when we walked in and stayed on the phone until I walked out 5 – 8 minutes later. Didn’t bother acknowledging us or letting us know she’d be right with us. That was enough for me to walk out and save my money despite our starvation.

I live right down the street from this restaurant and have frequently ordered takeout. After getting my order wrong the last handful of times, I’m done going here. The first few times, I called back after realizing that my order was missing items or was not prepared the right way. A gift card was sent, apologies given, etc. I don’t want gift cards for more wrong food and or missing items. The last straw was when I ordered a salad and a baked potato last week and the salad was missing several ingredients that always come on/with it and the baked potato was MIA(which I paid for). I didn’t bother calling back this time because I won’t be giving them my business anymore. It’s as if the employees running takeout couldn’t care less about their customers or the food going into the plastic containers. The food is probably fine if you go in to sit down but if you’re looking for takeout, stay away.

Waitress was very nice and allowed me to sub my fries for a side salad that was huge! Got the lobster roll which was a decent size but definitely could tell it wasn’t fresh lobster.

The food is always good here. Drinks can use a little work-it’s on the light side and I felt like I wasn’t getting my money’s worth for an alcoholic beverage. Anyway, after my first drink not meeting up to expectation, the next time I went there I just ordered a soda. Go there for the food! It’s always good and service is also good and the restaurant is very clean. Service is prompt and courteous. I would recommend this place and would definitely dine there again.

Everything about this place, including the menu, presents itself as being somewhere between a Denny’s and a Friday’s, but the food is better than either one. The service too is more retro diner than it is casual, but it is prompt.

This 99 is more like Cheers than a restaurant chain. We had great service from Cindy, free popcorn, delicious cajun shrimp dinner, complimentary drink refills and reasonable prices. What could be better? Not all 99’s are the same, but this one ranks very high on the list.

I call it the littlest 99. It’s typical 99 fare near where I work. I usually will run in and always sit at the bar to catch the end of a game or have a quick beer and appetizer. I’ve gone to many 99’s where the bartenders are super-friendly and personable. A few times I’ve gone here I think I just happened to catch them on a bad day. The male bartender was either cranky or seemed a little sarcastic. Another time, the female bartender was really snippy for no apparent reason. However, I do remember once that after we removed a newer appetizer from our order,(dieting reasons!) the manager came over with a small sample, free of charge to show us what we were missing. I thought that was really sweet of her. All in all its a good place when you catch ‘em on a good day.

I was a little gun-shy going here because we had big problems with the Ninety Nine in Westover. However, this is close-by, so we decided to give it a try for lunch. We were greeted and seated promptly. It felt more like a neighborhood diner where the staff knew customers. Our waitress was fantastic! She gave good suggestions, and always kept the water glass full without me asking! I had the Prime Rib Panini $ 7.99… would highly suggest this! Only available sometimes. My husband had the new shrimp mac and cheese, which was rich but good. He had the jammin crab soup which had a nice mild kick to it. The milkshake cake mini for dessert was rich, but good. Would go again! This location has changed my anti-Ninety Nine feelings :)

I actually don’t really remember much about this place, even though I’ve been there a few times. There are no «mAgiCaL wOnDeRs» here, just some decent food and friendly service. If I remember correctly, they give you free popcorn to munch on while you wait for your food. That’s a nice touch. Burgers and whatnot are the usual here.
