Our design and build approach gives you maximum flexibility and budget control.

Kitchen remodels are a specialty. We offer more than a kitchen store. We will propose moving doors, walls or windows to improve function, aesthetics, natural light and/​or traffic flow.

We provide in-​home, 3-​D, computer-​aided-​design (CAD) simulation of remodeling ideas and will aid your selection of fixtures, appliances and materials. We will also help you plan within budget. As licensed and insured general contractors we assume responsibility for building the approved plan to the agreed budget and schedule. Clients receive personalized service and a guaranteed price.

Typical projects include kitchen remodels, master bathroom suites, additions and space reconfiguration.

Master bathrooms are also a client favorite: we will find the right mix of efficiency and luxury to suit your needs.

History

Established in 2002.

I was a once a busy homeowner, balancing family and corporate career demands. I needed home remodeling help — and was frequently disappointed. Why do the contractors disappear for days and weeks at a time? Why are there so many unexpected extra charges? Why doesn’t it look the way I imagined?

When it came time to change careers I decided to combine my remodeling passion with my business experience. I added a pinch of homeowner empathy and created a different sort of residential remodeling company.

Lasting Impressions is a one-​stop-​shopping home remodeling solution. We work with you from concept to design, from construction to final touch-​up.

Think of me as an interior designer who also builds the dream. I’ll use my computer CAD system to simulate the design for you — and bring it to your home so we can view it together in context. I’ll help you select fixtures, appliances, counters, floors and colors, too. When we’re done, I’ll manage the construction. On time. On budget.

I began my career as an Industrial Engineer in the early ’80’s.(A computer aided design (CAD) system then cost $ 50 million. Fast forward 30 yrs and I have one on my laptop!)

I worked at a variety of local companies in technical mangement roles, got my MBA, climbed the corporate ladder and became a VP/Gen’l Manager of a local manufacturing company. Sadly, like so many other MA companies, they decided to move south. Being a native New Englander, I wasn’t about to move. It was time for a new adventure.

Over the years I had remodeled my home and built a couple, too. I enjoyed the process, but was frustrated with the out-​of-​control costs and schedule as well as the finger-​pointing between the designer and contractor when there was a problem. There seemed to be lots of good tradesmen, but they were lousy managers and communicators. I could do better.

Long story short… I went back to school, got my construction license and bought my own CAD system. Lasting Impressions was born.
