History

Established in 2010.

Bimini Balms got started out of necessity! My son has amazingly chapped hands that crack and bleed across the knuckles. I tried everything you could think of off the shelf and NOTHING worked! Then, I started to do my research and realized why-​the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (United States) analyzed 2,983 of the chemicals currently used in personal care products and 884 of them were toxic, 314 caused biological mutations, 218 caused reproductive complications, 778 caused acute toxicity, 148 caused tumors, and 376 caused skin and eye irritations! It was time to find a better, more natural solution! Putting the natural butters and oils together with beeswax made it into a solid, easy to carry shape that doesn’t leak and is safe to carry on airplanes! People saw the results, saw how easy the bar was to use and to keep in their pocket or purse, and wanted their own – so we keep growing!

I’m a wife, mother, teacher, student, secretary, business manager, manufacturer, assembly line worker, accountant, marketing director, and the list goes on! I’ve taken my Level 1 Certification for Aromatherapy and continue to educate myself on natural solutions for healthy living. Medicine and big businesses that manufacture skin care products are too caught up in making money over what is best for their customers and patients! I started this business for my family and I continue this business to help other families and individuals that want better, healthier alternatives that are affordable.
