History

Established in 1959.

IN 1959 Jack Austin started Austin Diamond on South University Street. In 1980 Brenda Warburton started manufacturing for Mr. Austin as part of her thriving wholesale business. By 1987 the wholsale business need to change and we purchased Austin DIamond and by late 1989 changed hte name to Austin and Warburton. SInce, we have prospered by selling only what we make and avoiding the pitfalls of cheap foreign jewelery. In 2009, as the world began to face shange, we closed our walk in retail store and took from it the things that really matter, the manufafcuring. We contnueo t only sell what we make and now do it by appointment from our location on Kinglsey Street.

Business Owner

Brenda has been designing and making jewelry since the late 70’s. She has won awards for design and quality on several different levels including 9 regional awards, 6 national awards and 1 international award. She has recieved 3 SPECTRUM awards from the American Gem Trade Association, a hghly covetted award!

She has 2 girls, loves ot ski, kayak, play tennis and golf. Her chari table activites revolve around Westside United Methodist CHurch and involves a great deal of voluteering at the FoodGatherers Community Kitchen in the DeLonis Center.
