1 hour wait JUST TO TURN A MODEM BACK IN. The people seem nice but the company is obviously needs to hire enough help. I spent over 1 hour waiting to be served and was late for my next appointment.

Well… on the bright side my house didn’t catch fire. Thank you comcast installer for not telling me what you did… for stealing the electrical plug cover after you drilled though it. For asking us after you did this… hey… did the power ever work in that room? You cemented in my mind why I’d rather not have tv or Internet than to have you as a service provider. Feel lucky that you got the 1 star, you only did because they don’t offer a zero. My first experience with Comcast: I called to activate service and shortly after had a representative call me back, offer me a better bundle and delivery of my equipment for a free self install. The self install was fine, but I did not get the right plan. After multiple calls to Comcast, plus running into the Comcast rep at a street fair and asking about the error, I was given a credit off my next bill for the inconvenience and finally received the correct package. Fast forward to when it is time to move — two weeks prior to move date, all services are turned off. I called Comcast only to find out that the incoming residents called to activate their service for the future so Comcast went ahead and disconnected everything (I had multiple people tell me this is illegal, but I’m not exactly sure going down to the police station to report this was going to do me any good). As if that wasn’t annoying enough, they were unable to turn my service back on for those 2 weeks and followed this with a bill charging me for unreturned equipment/​early termination at a cost of approx. $ 500. A lengthy visit to the Comcast store finally put me in touch with a customer service rep who took my equipment and reversed the charges.
Second chance: naturally, when another move put me back into Comcast territory, I was understandably hesitant about using their service. A review of available options made it seem Comcast had the best, so I took a deep breath and called. I knew exactly which package/​bundle I wanted. The representative went through and confirmed everything and at the end of the call informed me of all of the installation charges that would be due ($ 99). OK, I’ve been through this before so I know there’s a self install option and I ask about that. Sure, they can do that for $ 10. Then we get to the equipment costs. I let them know I have my own equipment for Internet. I ask if I can access the internet right away. Unknown, but the rep checks. I ask another question, but again the rep can’t answer so I’m on hold while she checks. Finally, I think I’m at the point of completing my order; they are going to transfer my call to the verification line, but there seems to be some technical issue on their end and they can’t complete it. The representative says she will call me back when her system is working. She asks me to tell her when to call back. I make a suggestion for a time, but she gets off in an hour and won’t be working then. I suggest a time the next day, but that’s her day off. Finally, the idea of having another employee call is realized, so I will await this call. I’m still waiting. Well, actually I’m no longer waiting because I decided to go with the DSL option, which has had surprisingly great speeds.

Where to start.
Comcast reps promised me that my internet would be turned on immediately because my home already has hook up and should not be an issue.
I called due to it not working and they tried to tell me it was because of an outage and they tried to refuse to get me a representative to come take a look.
I spoke to the manager and they were in fact wrong about the «outage.»
The representative lied about the Internet services being out — it was actually that they fed me misleading information about the wiring at the place I rent.
They told me it would be about a week — after promising me it would have been done that day.
A manger was promised to call me back.
No call back.
I hate Comcast and my internet isn’t even up yet.

Like most everyone else, I had a terrible experience with the national Comcast Customer Service. I had Comcast TV/​internet for two years and recently moved from Ann Arbor to Virginia (where Comcast serves). I tried to transfer my service for three weeks prior to me moving with out any luck. I would be transferred between no less than four different customer reps, none of which were able to transfer my services (though each call lasted at least an hour due to hold times). On the seventh phone call, one rep told me she would be able to give me the same services in Michigan for the same price, apparently I had to cancel my service in Michigan than start as a new customer in VA.
Once Comcast installed in Virginia, I found out the service wasn’t the same as what I had in Michigan (they never included my HD package and I had a different internet speed package). But the final straw was that four weeks after I moved, I received a bill for my Michigan address, even though I told at least 6 different reps that I needed my Michigan account closed. No one in my experience shared any of the conversations/​notes with anyone else — every time I was transferred I had to re-​explain everything again to the new agent on the phone, it was beyond frustrating.
I made the switch to Verizon Fios, and I’m not sure if they have good service, but this Comcast experience has been terrible and I recommend anyone else look for an alternative, it’s a shame that they have such a near monopoly and treat their customers like this. It makes sense that they are constantly rated as one of the worst customer service companies.

The customer service and support service center here is terrible. It is ridiculous to have to wait in a line of over 40 people simply to drop off equipment. There should be a simpler, easier, and more time efficient method.

Horrible customer service, they are not prefessional and have no clue what they talking about. I was over charged for my business service i called last month amd they told me that i will be getting credit for the amount i was over charged. This month bill came in and nothing happened i lve talked to about 7 different customer service reps. And each one of them giving me different execuses. They are complete rip off and im switching to direct Tv $ 100 cheaper a month and hope the service better. They need to train their people more than just ripping of people.

Painful, painful experience sent me fleeing to DirectTV. I’d been forewarned but due to their monopolistic ways I had figured I had no choice in my new ‘hood. Not only do they offer little in the way of perks for new customers, it’s the bend over and take it in fees. The icing on the cake, however, was getting called not once, but three times to be informed in 3 messages that, as at long-​last, the date approached to finally receive TV and Internet service arrived, I am told that the previous homeowner never cancelled their ComCast service; that now the burden lie on ME, not COMCAST to come to their office with proof of residency so they could then REPROCESS my order and start over. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? As if I’m going to sit on the phone all over again bundling a package? It’s as though they don’t want your business at all. Mystified by their horrible customer service.

I am not writing up a review for this particular store. Instead, I am writing up my review for Comcast in general. I was using Comcast phone + internet for almost 2 years and my experience with them during this time was horrible.
I got phone service interruptions (no phone line) about once a month and sometimes there was no internet or slow speed. Every time when I was calling their technical support, it took me a long time to try different things as instructed by them by it was not helpful at all. The problem usually persisted a day or so and then fixed itself — very odd! They send technicians to my house a couple of times but they did not find problem, besides charging me $ 60 for sending a guy here.
During this whole period I called them many many times repeatedly telling them the same problem but nothing got resolved. The experience of talking to them is EXTREMELY bad. The initial waiting is very long and the call was often transferred to a different person/​department and then automatically dropped, and then I had to call again… I used to file a complaint through their customer service and was told some would follow up with me after a couple of weeks. That just did not happen!
The reason why I did not cancel my service was because of the 2 year contract. Now I made my mind to disconnect all my services with Comcast and close my account. It’s worth to pay some early termination fee as Comcast is a company who does not care about customers at all. If I stayed with Comcast longer, the more I’d suffer from using their services. BTW, I am very happy about my new service now.
Think triple times before you sign a contract with Comcast. Do your research and any other service provider would be better than Comcast. To be honest, I have never seen any other company of any type of business treating customers that bad!

We would *like* to be Comcast customers. We are a bit off the beaten path — across the street from a neighborhood serviced by Comcast, but since we are the other way half a mile, we can’t just sign up like everyone else.
Comcast sent out someone to survey our property, and told us that it would be more than $ 1,000 out of our pockets to pay for the cable stringing service.
Fast forward a few more years. We had become frustrated when Verizon sold our region to Frontier. The changeover was not a smooth one. I had my brother, who works for Comcast, contact their survey department on my behalf.
This time the answer came back: $ 4,000+ bucks to run the cable!
No way. We’ll just stick with what we have, thank you.
So every time we get one of the Comcast Xfinity snail-​mails in our mailbox, hubby gets reminded how much he hates Comcast. I even try to hide them before he’ll be able to see them. We get them addressed to him personally, and also to our business. Several times a month.
Comcast is such a HUGE company, I was wondering how I’d get anybody’s attention. I even looked up this Comcast office on Industrial, thinking that if I were to show up in person, it would be harder to ignore me. But I found a better solution.
Today I finally thought to go online for a chat with tech support. The person gave me the URL to request to be taken off lists for phone calls, snail-​mail, etc. In case you need it too, here it is:
I hope that after a few months we won’t be receiving any more mail from a company that doesn’t want us to be their customer very badly.
UPDATE — It worked! The opt out department has heeded our request to no longer receive their mailings. Hooray!

The wait here is worse than the SoS. They called number 8 and pulling in the 40s. Enough said …

I am currently on the phone with Comcast and I have been through 3 people, all of which I had to repeat and retell my issue to. Just a brief description — I work for a property manager who had a city inspection at a property — city inspector said Comcast wires are too low and are a trip hazard. — we called 2 ½ weeks ago… NOTHING has been done.
Pitiful, pitiful, pitiful. I see nothing but 2 or less stars and I wouldn’t even give them 1 if it was possible…

One star because you can’t go lower than this. The worst ever. Rude b****s work here. Humiliated me because of my race.

Comcast SUCKS on the phone.
They are much better here in person and I’d give the staff a solid 4 stars.
The drag is that they seem really understaffed at all times.
When you are being served, they are patient and thorough.
There just needs to be 2x the staff.

Comcast may have the technology edge over AT&T’s DSL offerings, but they sure don’t follow through on customer service.
The telephone support is fairly weak, but let’s restrict ourselves to this particular brick-​and-​mortar location. For many equipment-​handling things (new cable modem, return a cable modem when leaving town), you’ll need to come by in person; just like the Secretary of State, take a number and figure on a 2 – 3 hour wait.
The staff is surprisingly friendly; all three were cheerful with most of the customers, and only got in shouting matches with two while I was there. However, the supply-​demand ratio is terrible, and they can’t even begin to keep up with the line of customers. They locked the doors an hour and a half before closing time, when they realized they had a full queue. One customer still outside banged on the door for a while, while everyone awkwardly kept their place in line.
Friendly staff, but a miserable experience overall.

If you can find any way to NOT SIGN UP WITH COMCAST — DO IT!
The worst company ever! Criminals by day– and night. How we as consumers — myself included, put up with this kind of customer service abuse is sickening. I hope the die on the vine and it would be good riddance. Not likely due to their monopoly.

Went here to pick up my self install kit for internet. I got here just after 3 p.m. and there wasn’t too many people here. Took a number and sat down and waiting about 20 minutes before my number was called. At the counter, I talked to a friendly rep about what I needed and she set me up with my package of materials in less than 5 minutes. I also got a new remote as mine had worn out. Pretty good experience in my opinion. At home, I was able to set up my internet in about 10 minutes and it is super fast compared to what I had before. I’m pleased overall.

Longest wait, slowest service. All to exchange a remote. Step up the in-​person customer service, Comcast.

The two times I’ve been here, the workers have been quick & helpful, so they get three stars. But I did have to wait 35 minutes to drop off a cable box + modem, which only took about 2 minutes once my number was finally called.
Major complaint: They weren’t very good about coordinating which numbers had already been called/​served, so that while I was waiting for my number to be called, several numbers were called two or three times superfluously. What a waste of time!

Went there to drop off my stuff after I cancelled the service… there was only one person working there and it was 10am… how can you have only one person working when there’s like 10+ people working???
I left… then went back the next day and luckily they had others working… waited few minutes, returned it and left.
Folks working there was nice, but poor planning on staffing.
