History

Established in 2008.

DFDG was started in 2008 by Damian Farrell, AIA, LEED architect and a graduate of the University of Natal, Durban in the Republic of South Africa. Damian began his career in Natal before relocating to Ann Arbor in 1987, where he established Damian Farrell Design Group after a six year internship. After selling his firm and an interim period of working in both large and mid-​sized architecture firms, Damian re-​stared DFDG in 2008. Acclaimed for his successful shaping of space and form in a wide variety of project types, Damian’s projects have earned national recognition, and have been featured in Architectural Digest and numerous other regional publications.

A graduate of the University of Natal, Durban in South Africa, Damian Farrell, AIA, LEED AP, restarted Damian Farrell Design Group, PLLC in July, 2008. His work has been recognized with awards from the American Institute of Architects, AIA Huron Valley Chapter, Detroit Home Magazine, Architectural Digest and many more.

Damian started his own radio show in late 2011 with local long time celebrity and business enthusiast Lucy Ann Lance on 1290 AM, WLBY. The show, Damian on Design airs every Saturday at 11:10 a.m. and is also available on youtube​.com/​d​a​m​i​a​n​f​a​r​r​e​l​l​d​esign.
