Stopped in because I saw they had vegan and vegetarian options. Place was very clean. Staff nice and friendly. Prices good. Really liked the veggie burger. Everything was made to our specs. Not into the fries, just a personal choice. Not a fan of rough cut fries. Will return on next visit to Ann Arbor

After seeing the commercials over and over, we decided to finally come in on a busy Friday night to get a feel for what they had going on. We were able to order quickly and I decided to go for the veggie burger while my fiancé indulged in an «original» burger. Since we were already in an indulgent mood, we got fries to share on the side and also a Oreo banana milkshake. It wasn’t too long of a wait before they brought the food out to us, which was unexpected and nice. Both burgers were clearly fresh, mine was neatly wrapped despite my many, MANY toppings on my veggie burger. It was different than your average veggie burger — not just typical black beans but a mix of grains, veggies, and cheese all mixed it — it was SO tasty! The bun was fluffy and perfectly toasted, holding everything together no problem. My fiancé really enjoyed his burger, I was almost not able to try it! The beef was juicy and the cheese was an actual, fresh slice of cheddar cheese… not just your fresh-out-of-the-plastic-wrap like stuff. The french fries were just alright, mind you they tasted good but were more soggy than crispy. But the milkshake?!? WHOA. Oreo banana is definitely my new jam and it was very fresh and smooth, thick as all heck. I’m glad we split it as by the end of the burger and fries, it was the perfect sweet-but-refreshing end. I would highly recommend this spot for a burger and shake versus many nearby alternatives.

Excellent burger! Loved the pepper relish! I eat my burger in a lettuce wrap and it’s even better! I love the fries!

I came to this place because i read reviews from other people stating that this place had good burgers. I come from the west coast and let me tell you that if this is considered«good», then standards here are just poor. For $ 8, i would expect something a little bigger and tastier. When i’m spending that much for food, i would expect to be full. BTW im a skinny asian guy and the fact that im still hungry says this much.

Let me start this review by saying 2 burgers, 2 fries and 2 small pops was just over $ 31. Let me conclude this review by saying it wasn’t worth it. IMO the hype about this place is unwarranted. I don’t know if Ann Arbor is burger deficient or what but Elevation was a big disappointment. Anyone who knows shit about burgers knows they need to season the meat. This was the blandest burger I have had in a long time, possibly ever. It’s such a bummer to get something that looks so good that has no flavor when you take a bite. If you are gonna charge $ 7.50 for a burger you better hit that shit with some S&P at the very least. I also got their loaded fries and I would say they have an identity crisis. Thousand island, mayo, caramelized onion and some pickle relish does not go together on a fry. I kinda already knew that beforehand but I like to try new stuff. Big mistake. I would describe these as a hot mess and would not suggest you get them. Their fries in general were good so stick with the regs and some catsup. The place was also dirty and not busy. Hit it up at Noon on a Monday and there was shit all over my table and other tables and the floor was littered with straw wrappers and miscellaneous french fries. I’m by no means a neat freak but if this is how you are gonna do it a hour after you opened you need to turn over some employees, bruh. Overall the low rating is due to the food and the price, the dirt didn’t really bother me but it was worth noting. For $ 31 there are WAY better places to get a burger. I can head 7 minutes east on Washtenaw down to Sidetrack and get 2 burgers, 2 fries and 2 beers for less and the burgers are WAY better.

Probably my favorite burger place. It feels like I’m eating healthy every time I get a burger and fries from here. It never feels too greasy or anything normally associated with fast food burgers. Easily some of the best fries and burgers out there. I hate getting other burgers now because I always feel slow and fat after them. But never after an elevation burger.

Elevation burger in Ann Arbor is a great choice for someone who wants a delicious tasting burger but does not want to feel weighed down the rest of the day afterwards. The organic meat tastes fresh and is not too greasy. I would go as far as to say that sometimes it feels not greasy enough, but that’s just what makes this burger great; it’s the burger I go to when I don’t want to feel horrible afterwards for eating junk food. It also feels like these patties have less fat content than other burgers I’ve had which kind of adds to that feeling of less guilt(not sure if they actually have less fat). The calories in the patties are similar to those of other burger joints but I think the fact that they use such fresh and organic meat factors into it feeling less unhealthy even if it is not less calories. They have a whole host of great ingredients to choose from when you build your burger. Their cheddar cheese is some of the best I’ve had at a burger joint it pairs extremely well with the sandwich. The caramelized onions are also a great touch. This place really shines with their fries as well. They are cooked in olive oil and it really makes the difference because they taste so uniquely delicious. They have a nice crispy exterior and they crunch whenever you bite into them. There are two main reasons for the four stars rather than five stars. First, the chicken burger did not impress me and was pretty tasteless. If you add barbecue sauce to it it gives it a little bit of flavor but I would not order it again. Secondly, the prices here are a little higher than other burger places I’ve been to. It will not break the bank and the prices definitely do not deter me from coming back however it does factor into my rating. The staff is kind and courteous and the whole restaurant is always really clean. If you’re looking for a fresh tasting burger that will not bug you down for the rest of the day elevation Burger is a great choice.

Always the best place to have a meal. For lunch or dinner and you won’t regret it. I like it when I have the option to customize my burger. Make my own type of burger is not available everywhere. With the low carb option it seems impossible in most cafes’ and restaurants. I like it

Let’s get one thing clear. Elevation is NOT the closest thing to In N Out Burger! Had to get that off my chest. Elevation was great the first couple times I had it. The last couple times I had it, not so great. Stick to their single or double burgers and stay away from anything else. On my last visit I had a chicken burger and it was terrible. I get it, organic, grass fed, eat clean, blah blah but it really was terrible. Plain, dry and had that«boiled chicken» feel to it. Stick to the beef. The French fries are always good. The milk shake was solid. They’re location is Prime. Super busy street with tons traffic, making it hard to get«In N Out» of their parking lot(see what I did there). With«organic» comes high prices anywhere you go. Expect to drop 25 – 30 $ for two. A bit high for burger joints in my opinion. One thing they don’t tell you which they SHOULD is that they serve HALLAL meats! Why? Because it’s the best quality! Why not advertise that??? I know why. It’s unfortunate a business hides something like this. You guys have the right ideas, but poorly execute them.

Thank you, Elevation Burger for having not one but TWO veggie burgers on your menu. Seriously, two veggie burger choices is almost unheard of. The staff is always friendly, service fast, and food consistent and delicious. That’s all you need out of a fast casual restaurant. It’s priced a little higher than your regular fast food joint but you’re getting what you pay for. The beef is grass fed and organic. I don’t eat meat but it’s one of my husbands favourite burgers. We typically spend about $ 20 – 24 per visit depending on whether we split fries etc. I like the servers bringing the food to your table too. Bonus point for always having my favourite music on! Every time we visit I hear Jenny Lewis, it’s so weird but I approve. Milkshakes are also a great treat, but we don’t get those every time ;)

Nice burger & fries place. You can customize your burger with various free toppings, but remember that cheese is not free. Love the hand-cut french fries. Good selection of soft drinks, and pretty good chocolate malt. The quality of the beef is very good. My two small complaints: 1) They don’t serve on plates, so eating was a bit messy. 2) The burger was quite light despite 2 patties. If I have to order another burger, it’s not a good value. I would get the Vertigo next time(3 patties) instead of the Elevation(2 patties).

So yea about that. I don’t know. It’s not ‘like a 5 guys’ in my opinion. Some of the things I didn’t care for are personal preference(see potato bun), what I was disappointed in was the elevation sauce not being anything too special, and I found the bacon pretty flavorless. Blue cheese dressing was like a thin oil, didn’t really find any dressing or blue cheese. Fries were pretty darn good.

If you are in Ann Arbor and are literally repulsed by the thought of eating a giant salad you should definitely come to Elevation Burger. You won’t be mad about it. On a weeknight the service is quick. I’ve come on Monday nights and gotten my food in less than ten minutes which was great because Mondays are long days for me and I’m an important person. The burger itself is excellent. The meat is juicy, the bun is fresh, all that good stuff. I believe it’s organic and free range and from what I understand the cows also went to private school so everything here is top notch. Okay but honestly the food is greasy. I’m still confused; people always say that like it’s a bad thing. Hi hello eating cheeseburger. Elevation also has vegetarian and vegan patties if you’re scared of meat. Fries are good too. But again, seriously why are you going to get fries when you come here and order an elevation burger which FYI is by default… A double cheeseburger. Welcome to the Midwest? They also have a coke freestyle machine, which is really the future of soda and yes, a good thing. Literally never mad about coming here and if you are you should remove yourself from Ann Arbor because that is what I think and– This food is good. Okay? Okay! Bye.

Excellent 100% grass-fed burgers, wrapped nicely in lettuce, with gluten-free fries cooked in olive oil. A fine indulgence for a paleo eater. Will be back if I come through Ann Arbor in the future. Hell, might go back tomorrow.

Elevation burger is an awesome place to grab a healthy and delicious burger! The staff is nice and explains everything to you. You start off with a basic burger and add your toppings of choice. The burgers(we got beef) taste great! They’re super healthy and delicious. Everything is organic and hormone-free. I will definitely be coming to this burger joint again.

Perfectly acceptable burgers. I appreciated the paraphernalia explaining exactly why Elevation Burger is morally and gastronomically superior to all other patties. My comrades, their burger is just a burger. They strive to please and achieve a minimalist aesthetic — bare white booths, food tucked away in paper bags and served on aluminum trays, and minimal pomp and circumstance(the fanciest thing on the menu was Sriracha Fries). They are an all-natural, all-green, salt-of-the-earth-but-not-too-much-salt brand, and they are constantly, but gently, reminding you of it. The burgers were good. So were the fries. 3⁄5 stars.

I really enjoyed my meal here! The burger tasted very fresh and the fries were absolutely amazing! Because I loved the fries so much, I ordered more for takeout. I tried couple combinations of toppings and my favorite toppings on the fries are cheddar cheese and mayo. The BEEF in the burger is absolutely delicious. The beef itself is fresh, organic, and full of flavor. However, I would not describe the burger as a whole as «mouth-watering» or «full of flavor.» What makes the elevation burgers unique is that they taste very fresh, simple, organic, and pure. The burgers are not overly greasy either. My friends loved the burgers because of their simplicity and freshness. On the contrary, I don’t really care about eating healthy or organic so I am not the biggest fan of the burger. I like my burgers big, greasy, and obnoxious. This is just my personal preference. I would still recommend their burgers though. I will be coming regularly for my cheddar cheese and mayo fries.

This place is simple, clean, has really friendly service and has Halal Organic Beef! Many people compare this place to In & Out Burger out west, I just know it as delicious! You walk up place your order, pay, give them a name, get your drink, take a table, wait for them to call out your name and they bring you your order. We love this place and love the burgers even more!

The food was delicious, and the staff were exceedingly friendly. They offer, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. This place truly«gets» me. When I worked at a camp, I used to get a veggie patty stacked with a beef patty all the time so when I saw«half the guilt» on the menu – it was a dream come true! Once again I got to enjoy my odd double-stack of beef and veggie patties. The fries are cooked perfectly, nice and crisp. They offer awesome and some unusual toppings for fries and burgers. The shake was fantastic. I ordered vanilla with strawberries and bananas in it – real ice cream and fruit combined deliciously! I look forward to bringing my family and friends here. I recommend this casual restaurant highly!
