Meet the Business Owner

Jeffrey P.

Business Owner

After 20 years working mostly with children in need of supervision (delinquent, neglected, abused, emotionally fractured) as teacher, principal, and administrator, I opened up Kaleidoscope Books and Collectibles in 1990. i wanted to re-create the style of the New York City bookstores that I frequented in the 1960’s. I strive to have a broad spectrum of knowledge in many areas so that I can help my customers make decisions based on their interestsand sometimes my recommendations. A former Brooklynite, I have now lived in Ann Arbor more than half my life. I’m proud to be a townie and share my life with my wife Deborah, my son Isaac, and 3 wild and crazy dogs, a cat and some fish. And thrilled to be considered humorously eccentric.
