Specialties

Mended Pieces is a fine art mosaic studio, specializing in education and custom architectural and commercial mosaics. We are known for our attention to detail, producing some of the finest quality mosaics in the United States. We are outside the box in design, but inside the box on quality and durability. Celebrating 18 years in business with our farm ceramics studio: Leo Boucha Tileworks. BBB rated company.

History

Established in 1992.

Tricia Huffman began Leo Boucha Tileworks in 1992, as a ceramics studio to create tiles and shapes for mosaic art. Named for her Native American great-grandmother, Eva Silvercloud Boucha and uncle, Leo Strauss. Tricia also creates a line of tile «Ancestor» jewelry under this name. The distinctive and stylized peacock is her signature. You may find these wearable art pieces at «Starring the Gallery» in Northville, MI.

In 2008, Tricia expanded the business as Mended Pieces Mosaics, LLC in the historic village of Kerrytown, in Ann Arbor, MI as a workshop to educate students in high quality, fine art mosaic techniques, as well as a venue to display her custom, large scale art and architectural mosaics.

In the coming year, MPM will be moving back to the farm studio just minutes away from Kerrytown. There students and clients will enjoy the serene and rustic atmosphere of an artist’s retreat setting on three acres of quiet beauty.
