Specialties

At Slurping Turtle, a warm greeting and friendly smile are served alongside every meal! Since 2014, the residents of Ann Arbor have enjoyed our home-cooked Japanese goodness. Slurping Turtle serves a variety of Japanese comfort food options including ramen, sashimi, maki rolls, and tapas. After trying one of our tasty entrees, finish off with one of our delicious dessert options! We offer ice cream, sorbets, and a selection of delicious cream puffs!

The founder of Slurping Turtle, Chef Takashi Yagihashi, is a celebrity chef that has appeared on the television show Top Chef Masters, where he participated in seven rounds. Chef Takashi strives to recreate his childhood culinary experiences in Japan. His mission is to capture the essence of Japanese comfort food, where he takes Japanese street food — ramen, tapas, sushi — and puts a different spin on them. We invite you to join us in our quest for the Everlasting Noodle.
