Specializing in music lessons for musicians ages 3 to adult. Students learn the fundamentals of playing, from Classical music to modern music and improv. The studio is located in a family-​friendly studio in a peaceful Ann Arbor neighborhood, close to the highway.

History

Established in 2002.

The String Studio of Ann Arbor was created by combining the studios of Rachel Samson and Neil Gilfillan. Rachel’s violin and viola students and Neil’s cello students meet regularly to master their music and become better musicians!

Business Owner

Mr. G is an enthusiastic teacher who loves getting students excited about playing cello. He is trained in several established teaching methods, and gives students the tools they need to be creative and be the best musician they can be. Whether the goal is to have a great performance an upcoming recital, get a boost with their orchestra music, or to find their next favorite song to play on cello, they will learn how to make the most of their skills and take their playing to the next level.
