I see that Tim Horton’s has finally closed on South University, but I just wanted to add in this review to say this place was by far my least favorite establishment in the history of my existence. There’s nothing like waiting 15 minutes for the two people ahead of you to be served, only to be given an attitude by the undertrained employees before you finally get your coffee and significantly subpar breakfast sandwich. Why isn’t there a Dunkin Donuts in Ann Arbor?

I love Tim Hortons, so I was very excited to live close to one this year on Campus. Their regular coffee is a lot cheaper than those of their competitors, and I personally think it tastes better. At the beginning of the year I didn’t really have any problems with this store, but as of recently, I’ve been finding that the store and its employees aren’t as reliable. Usually there’s only one person working which really sucks for that sole person, because a lot of students here like Tim Hortons and normally a line forms. You can tell that the employee looks stressed out, and could use a little more help. In addition, this location has been out of multiple products on more than one occasion, causing customers to change to a different order, or to just leave and seek service elsewhere. Furthermore, sometimes the employees aren’t even very friendly, and they make me feel like I should have chosen to go somewhere else. Most don’t even bother to smile or say a friendly greeting. Finally, sometimes the store is just closed at random hours of the day when it is scheduled to be open.(I think this has something to do with the«only one employee working at a time» deal). For example, last week I walked to Tim Hortons to grab a coffee before my shift at noon at the Library only to find that the doors were locked. The lights were on inside, doughnuts and other pastries were on display, but the place was closed up. I’ll still keep going to Tim Hortons because it’s close to my house and I really like their food,(when they ARE offering it), I just wish that they could hold themselves to the same business standards of other Tim Hortons.

The service is so bad I stopped going and started walking an extra mile to another breakfast place. 4⁄5 times I go to the Tim Horton’s they can’t make my meal because they are out of English muffins, sausage or egg. That is ridiculous. The line is also slow moving. If there’s more than 4 people I just walk out. In addition my order was just forgotten about thrice. My ordering experience isn’t always good either, having to repeat my self more or less half the time. The food is average breakfast fast food.

Unfortunately the last few times I’ve come here have not been good experiences. Twice I ordered iced coffee, and the employee just poured hot, fresh coffee over ice, resulting in lukewarm, extremely weak coffee. Also, they’ve been out of something when I order a sandwich– sausage one time, and then the multigrain flatbread another time. The service has also become rather unfriendly overall. I’m suspecting the management has gone downhill. The donuts are still solid, so if you just want a donut and hot coffee, this Tim Horton’s is probably a fine choice.

Absolutely appalling service here. Every time I come, it’s at least a 20 minute wait for someone to show up behind the counter. Sometimes I see the workers talking on their phones, completely ignoring the line of customers that have gathered in front of the register. It’s a consistent problem and I’m sure nobody is going to do anything about it anytime soon.

It’s no Dunkin’ Donuts(sorry, East Coast represent), but best place to get donuts on campus, since Washtenaw Dairy is not within walking distance. Sometimes on Hooked, they have deals for 10 Timbits for $ 1 — worth it. I tried the new Salted Caramel Timbit last night. It was yummy; it wasn’t too salted, which I like. It’s not filled with caramel like I anticipated, but I think I prefer it the way it is. Docked a star because the coffee drinks are not good at all. I would dock another for service since the employees are not happy, but donuts over everything. They are open late for your drunken or sober adventures over the weekend or during the week!

I love Tim Horton’s. It might be appeal to the«old-lady-sitting-in-the-window-crocheting» side of me, but it also appeals to the«really-really-cheap-and-hungry» side of me as well. I made an effort to park near this location before coming into work, so I could get a bowl of soup as I am ill. Their soup from past experience has been delicious and fairly priced, so I went around 11:10am. I was pout-face-supreme when they told me the soup wouldn’t be ready until 11:45am. I will have to wait for another time when I am able to go after noon to try their soup. They offer free wifi and have really good bread, so I’m sure it will be very soon. This location is RIGHT next door to World of Beer, and I was able to get a quick sandwich to nom on while drinking next door.

All my friends and I were thrilled when we heard Tim Horton’s was oppening in Ann Arbor, right next to our apartments! This place is literally a life saver, especially for late night food cravings. It was right across the street, which was super convenient. Also, I had a bunch of coupons for the place and the donuts are pretty cheap already. Everything is great here, except the only thing is, sometimes they have like only a few selection of donuts because they haven’t made fresh batches. And the staff can be really slow(high, maybe?). One time I had to wait about 10 minutes for the guy to cash me out on the register because he did not know what was going on at all. And he would respond really late to everything I said or asked for, which was awkward. Still love this place though and the BREAKFAST sandwiches here are amazing. It is also 24 hours!!!

So a little bit about Ann Arbor if you a college kid, there isn’t much in terms of affordable mainstream coffee shops. So when Tim Horton’s opened shop just a couple months ago, the South U/Washtenaw side of campus finally got the kind of affordable coffee shop that they needed. This place has everything you could want, Hot Chocolate, Coffee, Donuts, Timbits, Bagels, and even wraps! Not to mention they are open 24hrs AND have free wi-fi? In short, this place is awesome, and for the prices you’re paying it’s totally worth it.

I give them 3 stars for donuts and one star for their coffee! It’s not just coffee or donut shop, they offer breakfast sandwiches, panini’s, wraps and speciality coffee drinks. I got the timbits and coffee… loved the timbits, but the coffee was terrible… McDonalds coffee is a lot better! They are open 24 hours.

I was SO happy when Tim Hortons recently opened on South University, right on Michigan’s campus. Their coffee, especially their iced cappuccinos, is always excellent and affordable. They have great food options ranging from breakfast(yogurt, oatmeal, bagels, wraps), lunch(soups & sandwiches) and the more decadent variety(DONUTS, need I say more?). I recommend getting the breakfast wrap: it’s $ 1.99 and has scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, a tangy sauce and your choice of ham/sausage/bacon wrapped in a wheat tortilla. They also have breakfast combos, where you can order a coffee, a café item and a side of hash browns. You can get a filling meal here for around $ 5. I’ve been previously going to the one connected to the Shell Station on Saline-Eisenhower, but now I can come here for my weekly TH fix. This location is smaller, but their staff is friendly. When I went during peak lunch hours, the line was backed up, but the cashier still greeted each customer warmly. The service is quick and I am glad there’s an additional café/breakfast option on campus!
