Wendy’s

Came in at noon on a Wednesday. Place was busy, but line moved fast. Quickly placed my order for a double stack add tomato, a 10 piece nugget meal, and no salt on my fries. Food was ready, hot and fresh, and all correct, within 5 minutes. Best lunchtime Wendy’s experience I’ve ever had.

I have been patronizing this Wendy’s for the past several years. I go out of my way to get to this location because it always gets my order right (tip: get your lazy asses out of your car and go INSIDE — do not use the drive-​thru!), my food is always hot and my frosty is cold. Today, the manager explained the difference between the Asian chicken-​cashew salad and the BBQ chicken ranch salad with out making me feel like I am a moron. I appreciated that.
Also the dude ahead of me ordered the entrée Caesar chicken salad but instead of fries, ordered a side salad. WTF? Am I missing something or is he just super-​cheap?

Today, Wendy’s gave me the wrong order via drive through. While this is annoying, it’s not why they’re getting a 1-​star rating. No, it’s because after I returned to the restaurant about ~2 minutes later, the cashier thrusted my correct order in my face. Without a bag. How convenient. Still not why this gets 1 star. Get ready… Okay. So I bring the wrong food back and give it to the workers who promptly hand it to the man who was behind me in the drive through queue. After I had left the premises with it, touched it, etc. Obviously not everyone has malicious intent when they’re given the wrong order, but for all they know I could have poisoned the food or whatever. I found this to be super disgusting and I’m fairly certain that their unsanitary actions were illegal. Good going, Wendy’s. I know where not to eat now.

A standard Wendy’s over on the south side of town by Briarwood mall and the hotel area. I went in here for a quick dinner which was nice because it was not busy. At lunch this place gets slammed every day so the quiet was nice. The baconator hit the spot and I really liked the pop machine which was one of the new-​fangled programmable ones with 100 different flavors. Nice selection!

New hamburger was not all that great!

Mmm… spicy chicken sandwich. They accepted a Buy One, Get One coupon that I got in the mail, so yay!
I think this is an okay location. It took a while to have my order taken because they tried to get the previous orders out before taking new ones.

As the other reviewers have already pointed out, this Wendy’s is lightening fast and efficient. Unfortunately, at 5pm on a Friday, my food was less than spectacular.
Spicy Chicken Nuggets: lukewarm and more chewy than crunchy, much like leftover nuggets microwaved. you know what I’m talking about.
Value Fries: there’s not much «value» going on here as it looked like someone ate half of my fries before giving it to me. the fries themselves were also super salty for some bites and just about flavorless for others.
Jr Bacon Cheeseburger: the bacon, like the nuggets, were more chewy than crispy.
I understand that food quality is sacrificed for speed during non-​peak hours when there’s not much food turnaround but I would seriously not mind waiting a bit for freshly fried food.

Good and fast! Close to a Burger King that’s on Victor’s Way so you can get onion rings for your Baconator!

Want to see what a well-​oiled, fast food serving machine looks like? Then go this this Wendy’s because holy crap are they efficient! I go here for lunch maybe once a week, almost always through the drive thru. Don’t let the line of cars fool you because this Wendy’s drive thru processes orders faster than some freaky Usain Bolt /​cheetah hybrid. It probably takes 2 – 3 mins from the time I place an order at the machine to when I’m on the road driving back to work. After paying at the first window, I rarely need to wait to get my food at the second window.
These guys are fast, accurate with your orders. And who doesn’t love a Spicy Chicken Sandwich?
