Very kind and dedicated soldiers and officers of the Salvation Army dedicated to reaching out to those in need. They especially help the youth in Annapolis to grow spiritually with the many programs that teach critical life skills.

First off, salvation army always gets 5 star review due to it being a great charity organization, helps people in the area, etc. Now saying that, this hilltop location is very disorganized with the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. Very poor management and leadership. My example. I dropped off a vanload of toys for the Angel tree program at their location, took the items into the gym area(which you can see a pic below) where their people seperate and prep the toys. All I do is bring in the toys, put them on the right where their«staging» area is. Doing this for the past bunch of years. I get a call a day or so later asking when im bringing the toys by, and i respond already did. They don’t know where they are. I say where they always are, in the gym area, they actually had 3 guys helping me unload. They still can’t find them, or what ever. Over the next week, a few more conversations with the«management» about the toys they can’t find. Sorry, not my problem talk between yourselves about your sorting/organizational/management talents, don’t include me in the conversation, i did my part i just dropped the toys by. So, always good rating for any such charity, but this location really needs better managers who know what they are doing.

This new Salvation Army popped up within the past year and I was wondering what it was all about. I got a taste when a group of people from work volunteered to help sort all the toys for the Christmas holidays. The community donated new bikes, clothes and other items for those who could use a little boost in their lives during this time of year. Volunteers sorted all the stuff in their huge warehouse to prepare for all the families to pick up the next day. There was also a huge wall of bears that were matched up with blankets(many homemade) for all the kids. Too cute. The Salvation Army volunteers also deserve a shout out as they stand out in the cold ringing the red bells.
