East Bay Dental has an excellent team of general dentists, all dedicated to your dental needs. From routine exams and cleanings, to cosmetic makeovers and implant dentistry, we are dedicated to providing you with the best dental care possible.

We accept most insurances, including HMOs, and PPOs, and we welcome patients without insurance as well. HMO’s we accept include Deltacare PMI USA, Metlife, Cigna, Aetna and United Concordia. We accept just about all dental PPOs, including Delta Dental PPO, Delta Dental Premier, Metlife PPO, Guardian PPO, Blue Cross PPO, Blue Shield PPO, Cigna PPO, and others.

We accept credit cards, cash, flex spending, worker’s comp, and Care Credit.

History

Established in 2007.

We’re dedicated to incorporating technology into our dentistry. We use Dexis intraoral xrays, which are not only more comfortable, but also emit 90% less radiation then traditional film xrays. We use Zoom for teeth whitening. Zoom is the leading brand in one hour in-​office teeth whitening. We do Invisalign, the clear aligner trays for those who despise ortho braces, wires and brackets. Our dentists use ultrasonic scalers for cleaning teeth. These scalers are much more efficient than cleaning teeth by conventional hand scalers. All in all, we strive to provide efficient and effective dentistry in a comfortable setting.

I have not been seen here yet, but when I called to make an appointment and if they accepted my insurance, the lady who answered was very helpful and informative. Before calling their office, I had made few other calls to different dentists and they were either rude or quick to speak to me. I still have yet to be seen and will make a follow-​up review

First time visiting East Bay Dental. Made appointments for my three kids to have a cleaning. Not sure of the reason, but I was asked to come in earlier than my 2pm appointment. At my previous dental office so many of my dental appointments was canceled by the office, which is the reason why I switched offices, so I appreciated the effort of Aly and Dr. Abdou getting us in instead of canceling all of the appointments as I had to take time off of work to bring the kids in. Aly was AWESOME. She took all of the x-​rays by herself on all of the kids as the rest of the staff was out to lunch. She was funny, professional, and relatable. She and Dr. Abdou made this the best dental experience I have ever had. Dr. Abdou took his time with the kids and I didn’t feel rushed through the appointment. The office was very clean. As long as both Aly and DR. Abdou remain at the office they have gained life long patients!

I was not a patient here, but I will be after today. I had an emergency issue and they fit me in, took care of the insurance questions and helped me out. I have major anxiety regarding the dentist and was a mess when I got there (nervous and in terrible pain). I was treated with kindness and compassion which is all I could ask for. Definitely recommending this place to others.

I went to East Bay dental for a routine checkup/​cleaning. The cleaning was ok, however I was told that I needed 6 cavity fillings and a root canal. She filled it without asking what kind of material I wanted and sent me to their neighboring dentist to see if they could take me on the spot for a root canal. Fortunately, they could not take me right then. I started doubting Dr. Sepideh Khomjani … why would she fill my tooth AND send me for a root canal??? So I made an appointment with a different dentist. Come to find out, she had filled my tooth with the most expensive material, instead of temporary material, which makes no sense if I needed a root canal anyways. Turned out I didn’t need a root canal at all nor any of the other fillings. This was almost 2 years ago and I have not had any cavities. So obviously they are just creating work to get money. Stay away!!!

I went to East bay dental for a second opinion because my original dentist told me that I had 7 cavities. They wanted to do crowns on all 7 of my teeth. This just did not seem right to me so I went to see Dr. Wu for a second opinion. First impression: office is clean, staff is very nice and helpful. The front desk and office manager Ranji was very helpful throughout the insurance process and the staff and Dr. Wu took the time to show me pictures of my teeth and what they saw. Dr. Wu, not knowing what my previous dentist had told me, informed me that I had just 2 cavities and the rest were just stains and nothing was needed for those. The great thing was he was able to do a cleaning for me the same day of my exam and fill my cavities all within 1 hour. I am very pleased with this office and highly recommend this to anyone seeking a new dentist. I will recommend this office to all my family and friends. Thanks Dr .Wu and Staff for being honest with me.

Like most, I do not particularly enjoy my yearly visit to the dentists. Thus, all I am looking for is a place that gets the job done right, act professional, in the least painful way possible and be pleasant when we are at it. And, yes this place met all my requirements and beyond. Appointments were accommodating, office décor is nice, office staff were pleasant, got my tooth the much-​needed clean and at time filled without scarring my fragile soul. Also, they somehow manage to motivate me to take the time to brush my teeth and floss, at least for the next three weeks following the visit. So, if you got a teeth problem, dont sit on it, and bite the bullet (not literally).
Bottomline, my teeth needs some TLC, and this place has got it.
Update 8⁄2014: Having recently moved away from California and is in searching for a pleasant denist in the new town, I already start to miss here.

I was so afraid of going to dentist. But since I am going to this office I have been able to continue with my treatment with relative ease. I do not know what it is, but I feel like they treat me like family ! Dr. Sepi was so professional and gentle and the her assistants and the financial lady were very good at what they do. Over all I had a great experience and I would recommend it to all!

Inconsiderate office. I scheduled both of my children last week. I was running behind and called to tell them I was running a few minutes behind would they still be able to see both of them if not I would reschedule and come another time. They said yes. When I got there I was told only one could be seen. This was a sneaky way to get us in their office. I cancelled their appt. and took them to Sky dental in Pittsburg.

Long time now and Feel like she really cares for her patients, she always takes the time to explain everything and she and her staff are always very professional and make me feel like family. I would recommend her to any one looking for a good dentist especially if like me you have had bad experiences.

Omg, I came in because of a cracked tooth. The Asian dentist whacked my tooth soon hard that it made it loose. They sent me to get a toot canal but was told it was too loose, well hell they whacked it so hard it became loose. Would not recommend at all… went to another and had to have it pulled because this place made it loose… devastated.

I went in because of a cavity bothering me The dentist told me I needed a root canal and a crown 1500 $ And my insurance didn’t cover. So I went to a different dentist for a second opinion. Cresent dental In pleasant hill saved my tooth no root canal no crown I only payed 150 $.My insurance covered the rest.

WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! We were seeing Dr. Kain Li when we lived in Antioch, CA. He have put the crown on my tooth. I did feel discomfort went back next day. He did fix something and assured me that I will feel some kind of discomfort for awhile till I get used to it. So, time has passed I still feel discomfort plus pain around that new crown and tooth next to it. He didnt do a good job!!! Also, its not pleasant when he runs to another patient while doing your procedure and he doesn’t give a decent dental advise how to keep your teeth healthy.
To be honest, I don’t want to even give a star to this place, but, have to. Since the omputer system won’t post my comment

Got a card in the mail and usually I am hesitant about bulk mailing from a dentist but since it was so close to my house I figured it was worth a try. Excellent, professional and courteous. I have been with these people for over 3 years. I can say I have never, ever been treated so unprofessionally and badly by a dental office. Having had stellar service from my previous dentist, my expectations were high. I know a good dental office because I had one. The only reason I switched was because we changed insurance and my previous dentist did not accept our insurance. WARNING, DO NOT GO HERE if you expect, good, professional, courteous service. You will be ignored, your phone calls will NEVER be returned, they will not call you to remind you of your appointment, and they do not know how to properly give you dental advice. You are pretty much on your own. They won’t even remember to ask you to schedule a follow up appointment unless you remind them. Rajnee the «Office Manager» is a joke. She needs complete training, she has no clue what the heck she is doing or she is just extremely lazy. I just switched to another dentist for all four of us. Anything has to be better than this place.
