I have changed my daughter to a few schools due to my job transfers and then being laid off and I have hated each time I’ve had to do that change to her. My daughter is very shy and it takes her time to get use to people. She takes her time in making friends and feeling comfortable with the teachers and staff. Each time I’ve taken her to a new school she clings too me with her life and wants me to stay with her and I’ve felt so bad because she would start crying begging me to stay with her. They would have to come and pull her off of me, literally. When I would pick her up she would then say mom I don’t feel good can I stay home tomorrow. I would always leave but always felt uncomfortable leaving her at those schools. I remember a few times I would come to drop off my daughter or pick her up and the staff would be yelling at the kids or just look like they’ve had a bad day and just have attitudes and not say Hello. So when I brought her to The Child Day School I was amazed at how comfortable she was and how she was always excited to go to school the next day. She would talk about all the teachers and all her new friends. It was a total 360 on what I was use too. Every time I would go pick her up she would give her friends hugs and hug the teachers and tell them that she loved them. It was great seeing that because MY DAUGHTER DOES NOT DO THAT with just anyone. Not even family member so for her to do that and say that, was amazing. I loved it there because I could see the difference in my child and how they made her feel. The teachers always have a smile on their face, they are all so pleasant and you can see how they interacts with the kids. I don’t think I ever saw a child crying there, you could see they were all happy to be there. The teachers are all amazing there I don’t have nothing bad to say about the teachers nor the school. I LOVE LOVE LOVED it there. Unfortunately, I had to take my daughter out of the school because she started Kindergarten this year and her school was not on the list of schools they provided transportation too. Both my daughter and I were sad that we had to go. I think I was the one sadder about leaving because the morning of her last day I started getting choked up when I dropped her off because I just loved how everyone at that school is. Ok I admit I started crying when I got in the car because they made my daughter happy and my daughter is my world. They are like family and treat your kids as if they were there’s. Kathy is also the best. Love them all. This is the best school in Antioch and I guarantee it, your kids will be happy here.

Since the moment I first visited the child day schools, i loved the home-​like atmosphere. I felt like my son was a part of a school «family». Being that I am pursuing a degree in early childhood education, I knew some characteristics of what I wanted in a preschool for my son. Everyone you meet when you walk through the door has a smile on their face, they are happy to be there, and the children light up when they see each teacher. My son started here shortly after he turned 2, he is now almost 3 and his language skills have developed drastically. He also has become a better problem solver. He cares about his friends, and he is excited to go to school. Recently, I have become a teacher here for the summer. I can definitely say that what you see is what you get with the child day schools. I was very interested to see how it would be working there since I was a parent first, and I was happy to know that it truly is what you see when you pick up and drop off. The teachers here love the children, they are caring and understanding and they take their time with them. The curriculum is based off of what the kids are interested in and they are encouraged to ask questions and be little investigators. They not only learn through play but through discovery. If you are looking for a preschool, an after school program, or even a summer program for a school-​age child, I would encourage you to take a look at this school! I know how hard it is to find a place you feel comfortable leaving your baby and from experience, I can say that I know you will feel safe, secure, and comforted to leave your child here!

My daughter attended the school for over two years, first beginning in the young preschool, then moving on to the preschool and finally into the pre-​kindergarten class. We have nothing but positive things to say about our experience.
My daughter has some speech issues that make it difficult for both adults and peers to understand her. I was concerned about how she would do in a mainstream preschool environment as she was used to special ed classrooms. She ended up thriving here because the teachers were aware of her issues and were very patient with her and the behavior issues that often arose because of her frustration at not being understood.
The staff really cares about the kids. Their consistent, patient and gentle approach with the kids is really wonderful and I know my daughter responded very well to it. She loved her teachers and the rest of the staff very much as did I!
Academically, I loved their learner centered approach. This was very similar to my daughter’s previous school and falls in line with our family’s preferred learning style, so it was like a match made in heaven. I’d highly recommend TCDS to any family looking for a high quality preschool for their kids.

One of the best places to ever send your child. All of the teachers and staff members are very nice and caring. Since my daughter has started at their school she has changed from a shy little girl into an out going happy little girl. I am so thankful for everything they have done for me and my family. I highly recommend them to anyone with children.

My son attended the Child Day Schools for a little over a year… Here’s the thing… He has TYPE 1 DIABETES so my of course my concerns where reallllllllly high. THE CHILD DAY SCHOOLS did EVERYTHING they needed to do to make sure my son was well taken care of. The staff were really understanding with his medical needs and went the extra mile to accomodate his daily routine with feedings/​snacks and administration of medications. He loved the Child Day Schools and never wanted to leave to go home!!!

My kids have been going here for almost 2 years now and they absolutely love it. They have improved socially and academically. I recomend them to anyone with kids.

I have had two of my children attend The Child Day Schools and I have to say that I wouldn’t send them anywhere else. Their preschool program is top notch and it is very clear that the entire staff loves the kids. Every child there knows that they are important and they are loved. They have a strong focus on social interactions and teaching the children how to interact with each other in appropriate ways and how to resolve their conflicts when they occur. I feel very lucky to have found this preschool and to have had the opportunity to have my children be involved in such a quality program.

My child has been in the after school program for about two years. She loves it. The staff are very caring and experienced. The atmosphere is very comfortable. Staff is very friendly and wonderful with the kids.
