Really great service. I have been to many gunsmith shops from the Midwest to the west coast, and I have never met such a great gunsmith. He is honest, knowledgeable, kind, and flexible. He installed a muzzle break on my .308 for me and did a fantastic job. I’ll definitely be coming back again.

Great experience with Trinity gunsmith, I had some sights put on plus some trigger work. The owner Chris is great you could not ask for a better person, and he is very good at what he does. Clean and tidy shop. Fast service all at a very fair price. You will not be dissapointed with the work that he does. I am very pleased with the outcome of his work.

Chris at Trinity Gunsmithing was great. He was prompt in returning my phone call and was able to accommodate my work the same day. I was expecting to leave my gun there but he was able to complete the work while I waited — 20 minutes. His work was articulate and clean. Additionally his pricing was very fair.
There are very few smiths out in the Bay Area that know what they are doing. Even more rare are smiths that will tell you when they cannot/​should not/​will not do something. Chris took pride in his work and if I need something done again I will not hesitate to call. It was certainly worth the easy 45 minute drive from the Tri-​Valley.

Came to Chris this afternoon for work on my Remington 870 and Ruger ¹⁰⁄₂₂ Takedown. I emailed him late on the 8^th and he promptly responded to me the next morning to set up an appointment. Him and his dog «Ruger» pleasantly greeted me as I came in. It became clear after a few moments that Chris deeply cares about the quality of his work. I felt very comfortable with him and left satisfied. Will definitely be coming to him for future work.

Great customer service. Chris was able to do a live round extraction from my XD 40 that was completely locked up. i also had him do a complete tear down and clean. I could not be happier with his work. Chris is extremely knowledgeable and I would not trust anyone else but him to work on my guns. Have already told all of my friends they should go no where else! Chris is the best of the best. He helped me install a free float handguard on my AR-​15, and did an amazing job. He is a awesome guy and gave me a screaming deal. I highly recommend him to anyone that needs something done to their gun. Even if it is minor or small. He will always help you.

One of my prized possessions, a Smith and Wesson stainless steel model 66 had an unfortunate encounter with corrosives.
Imagine my horror upon seeing my trusty .357 in what I thought was a state of «BEYOND REPAIR.»
Crusted and pitted, but still by some miracle, operable, the gun looked as if it had been fished from the bottom of a lake. (Hey! no comments, I swear I never did that!)
Finding people WITH guns in the East Bay is easy enough. But it isn’t as easy as it seems to locate a reasonably-​priced, competent armorer to service those weapons.
That’s why I was delighted to discover Chris at Trinity Gunsmithing.
He admitted to me that he hadn’t run across a gun like mine in such poor condition before and wanted me to have realistic expectations about how much of the damge was reversible.
Chris was upfront about he fact that he might not be able to remove all the pitting caused by the corrosion without causing further damage.
Like a good doctor, Chris explained exactly what he would do, how long he expected the work to take, One conversation with him and I knew immediately that he was a person who took pride in his work and respected guns both as weapons and as marvels of engineering and art.
I had a feeling that Chris would do everything possible to save my baby (which had great sentimental value to me.) I was not disappointed when I came to pick up the gun a few days later.
For his reasonable prices, attention to detail, exceptional customer service, and pride of workmanship, I give Chris at Trinity Gunsmithing my highest praise.

I am new at sport shooting and collecting firearms and when my recently acquired 30 year old Marlin 22LR bolt action rifle started giving me problems I called Chris O’Connor, owner/​operator, of Trinity Gunsmithing. Being so new at this sport, I honestly didn’t know what to expect. It was very refreshing to deal with someone who is honest and upfront with you on what he is going to do to fix and repair your firearms so there are no unpleasant surprises. Chris was very professional and I am very pleased with the work he did, thoroughly deep cleaning my rifle and replacing the firing pin. My 30 year old rifle performs like it is brand new. I was so impressed with Chris’s work I also had him install a new Hi-​Viz sight for my 357 magnum revolver. The sight had to be installed by a gunsmith because it had to be drilled and fitted correctly on the barrel. Chris installed the sight perfectly and now the accuracy of my shooting has improved significantly. I highly recommend Trinity Gunsmithing for the maintenance, repairs and upgrades to your firearms.

It really is a pleasure to write the first review for Chris O’Connor and Trinity Gunsmith! Chris has worked on two of my guns: a Marlin 336 in 30 – 30 and a Remington model 870 shotgun.
For the Marlin 336 Chris installed the large loop lever from Wild West Guns. Doing so required a lot more fine tuning than either of us thought. Certainly, FAR more than the package stated «minor gunsmith services» needed. BUAHAHAHAH
In a short amount of time Chris determined what needed to be done for the new lever not only to operate and function correctly but to MOVE LIKE BUTTER! Far better than the original, factory lever. I mean SMOOTH!
For the Remington shotgun, it was a complete conversion to a home defense weapon including installing a magazine extension which required surgery. The Remington 870 Express magazine tube needed physical adjustment in order for the magazine extension to properly install. No problem. Chris also installed a full tactical picatinny rail, forearm and tactical buttstock. It’s one heavy mother of a gun but it is smooth!
Chris runs his business from home and his gunsmith operation is spotless; clean as a whistle. Very well organized and well run. And it’s safe to bring your children here — not an F-​bomb within ear shot. What a treat!
I plan to take 2 other weapons to Chris for his magic touch within the next week. It’s great to have a competent gunsmith available to the general public nearby. Chris is a very nice person, promptly returns phone calls and messages and brings his work in on time and budget. Who can ask for more?
