United Canvas & Awning

We were loyal customer of United Awning for well over 10 – 15 years. They used to come to install and take down my canopies twice a year. They always contacted us to notify when their guys will be in the area, so that my husband could prepare the awnings for them. Everything was done in time and in a professional manner.
Then a couple of years ago something has suddenly changed (new ownership?). First, they screwed the schedule. Then one year they didn’t come at all and behaved quite obnoxiously when my husband called them to find out what happened. This year, while being at work, he received a call: they stayed at our backyard looking for the awning to install. He told them that he had no way of knowing that they were coming: nobody contacted us prior to their visit. They said that they will return next week and asked him to prepare the awnings for them.
Two or three weeks later my husband calls them and asks why nobody came to install the awnings. He was transferred to Jim (who presented himself as the owner of the company). After playing an idiot with my husband (while he remained polite and civil trying to figure out when they were going to come), Jim suggested to find another company to do this job. Needless to say, after this they’re not going to see a penny from us. This is not how you treat your loyal customers who helped putting food on your table for many years.
